Fry amount is large enough for two to share one small size; as many fries in the bag as the fry cup. They also have dogs and three sandwich options. Free peanuts like every FG location. Absolutely lacking in flavor, not a smidge of seasoning, sprinkle of salt, or hint of pepper to be found. Bland beef patties with no char, no taste, no texture, no soul. I got a bacon cheeseburger and all that stood out was the bacon. The fries are fine, with Cajun seasoning giving them some spirit. They definitely cook them tender, not crispy, so if you want crisp fries this is not the place for you. They also go cold and limp quickly, so you want to eat them first. The milkshake is fine but again, not great. With burgers, fries, and shakes being their claim to fame, I found their offerings underwhelming and overpriced for what you get. Just a big meh. What a pleasant surprise and delicious burger!!!! I customized it exactly as I wanted it, cajun fries on the side. complementary peanuts while you wait....perfection. Fast and courteous service, clean location, even the AC temperature was perfect. But all of that would be meaningless if not for perfectly grilled, seasoned and juicy meat patties, every bite of my burger taking me further away from my In-N-Out decades-old love affair. My husband and I used to frequent this location while we were in college dating years ago, and decided it was the perfect place to grab dinner after our wedding tonight (10/16). They staff were so incredibly kind, and were so genuinely excited for us!! Every single staff member congratulated us with the utmost sincerity. Not to mention every single thing we ate (and drank--malt milk milkshake is to die for!!) was perfectly prepared and delicious beyond belief. We've always loved this location and it's great to see nothing has changed, even though we haven't been since we moved to Columbia! The parking lot is a PITA to get in and out of, but that's not really the issue. The service is lacking compared to other locations. Yes they'll likely get your order correct, but don't expect anything above that. Plus the whole place is just a bit dingier than average. It feels like the whole place could use a good scrubbing. Don't ever need to go back here. Hard to find the burger between the bun. No burger taste whatsoever. Very disappointed. Went here when they first opened and had no complaints. Fries are greasy and not crisp. Waste of time and money. Also I have to cover my face with a mask, but I could see the guy who was putting the orders together his underwear and butt crack. I usually go to the Summerville store but since I started my new job I decided to give the one over here in front of Target on Rivers Avenue. What a great surprise to see the manager Bill from the Summerville store at this store greeting and taking orders as I came in. Always happy to say hello to every person to walk in the door smiling and laughing and really enjoying his job. The food was amazing even though I ordered no bun it was put in a bowl and I still got all the love of a hamburger I wanted without the carbs in the breads. It was amazing. I love the Coke machine where you can make your own soda flavors and just the whole atmosphere was very clean, very tidy, even the manager Bill came out to sweep the floor when it slowed down. The food and service at this location is excellent. We were there around 6pm today (9/24/21) . I don't know who the manager on duty was but he had on a black shirt. He pulled a drawer out that was under the grill and started berating one of the female employees. Pointing at whatever was inside and yelling at her "what is this right here!" several times before he slammed shut. She was clearly humiliated. When he bagged orders he took the brown bags and snapped them open. I came back to the restaurant and told him how awful he treated that girl. He just nodded his head. Clearly, he needs additional training on how to handle stress and communication. read more

I love 5 Guys, but this location is not as good as others. First, be careful walking in there. The floors are slippery from grease....lawsuit waiting to happen. Second, they forgot to give us our fries. It's not that hard to get an order right with such a small menu. I'm happy we didn't get it to go. Lastly, it's just really dirty in there. Tables, drink area and of course "the lawsuit waiting to happen" floors were just gross. The whole place is in need of a good cleaning. I think I'll stick to other locations. read more

I try not to write bad reviews but this one has to done. There is one caveat, Uber Eats was a middle man. All but one item on our order was messed up. We ordered a burger bowl - it was not received. One bacon cheeseburger was missing one of three burger patties; the other one had such wet toppings that the top bun was wet. All of the fries were cold. The large fry was received with about 1/3 of the normal amount of fries. Again, Uber Eats was a middleman but that would not explain most of the problems. Location convenient, plenty of parking, and some outdoor seating. But you're here for the burgers! You get a fresh cooked to order burger with any toppings you want. So order a burger with as much as you want, but be prepared and get a good handful of napkins. The burger is hot, and just right...yummy! You can add fries, but order the right size because it's a big serving. I usually split a regular size with a friend when there are 2. They also have grilled hot dogs that are just as delicious. The prices are a little higher than a regular fast food burger place, but the quality is much better. Minus a star for service though! With 5 guys actually working, they could all try a little, by improving service with smiles, sincere greets and thank yous. read more
