Always a favorite. Haven't been in a while and was surprised by the changes. French fry portions have always been huge with a full cup and a scoop of fries thrown in bag. Cup has changed to a small bag of fries. Very disappointing as this is one of my favorite items. Burgers were on the dry side but this is one of my favorite fast food hamburger joints. Item prices are higher for items but typically a better quality than McDonalds or Burger King. Restaurant was busy at this visit and staffed seemed overwhelmed as we had to go back up as our order/bill was not correct and dining area needed a little TLC. Mine was the only order on the board. Still took 15 minutes to make it incorrectly. I ordered fresh jalepenos, I got picked, raw onions but I got grilled onions, ordered a bacon burger, got cheese burgers. I really like 5 guys but it's so expensive I don't get it often, and there is always a problem. read more

Definitely one of the best places to get a quick lunch! The restaurant itself is super clean, the orders are done correctly and I love the soda machine!! Coke Zero with lime - woot! The burgers are fresh and delicious and there are more fries in an order than we could possibly eat, however, not complaining! I love hot French fries and these are simply the best. This place is easily the best five guys I have ever been to. I came in today for lunch and was greeted by two lovely ladies with smiles on their faces. They were extremely knowledgeable in the menu and able to assist me in what I wanted. The area is extremely clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful and the milkshake and burger was amazing. One tip I would give for any managers who may be reading this is to use a tooth pick on some of the bigger burgers as it does fall apart while eating. read more

I don't see the greatness of the place. Good yes, if you want a burger or some fries. And don't get me wrong they make a great fresh burger, with your choice of fixings, and the fries really are outstanding. (I am a fan of the cajun) But outside of the burgers, you're talking about hot dogs, and grilled cheese, and that is about it. My first time at this location and I have to say how impressed I was. The manager was very friendly as well as every worker. The portions were very generous. This place hands-down is one of the best smash-burger restaurants. Everyone's friendly and upbeat. Even if they have a line of people, you will only be waiting 5-7 mins max. I've never had a bad experience coming here, the place is always busy and it's obvious why. The food isn't too expensive and it's delicious. The fries are to die for and the burgers are great, everything is made in front of you and it's always good. If you order over the phone for pick up, they don't make the fries until you get there so they are nice and fresh. They also just started milkshakes not too long ago and I definitely suggest the peanut butter milkshake if you're in the mood for dessert too, it's sooo worth it read more

I seldom eat red meat any longer but when I do I go to Five Guys. I live in Florida but am in Utica and tried this location out for the first time. The first thing I noticed is how clean it was. Like every Five Guys I have visited there is almost always an employee on the floor cleaning tables, floor and wiping down other areas. Other "fast food" places need to do this. I was with two others and we had different food items. The employee that took our order was friendly and welcoming. When food arrived it was perfect, cooked correctly and of course the bag had more fries than you could eat. Five Guys has their formula down. Clean, efficient and great food. It is really nice having a Five Guys around. It is really high quality, it's filling, an it tastes really good! This past visit a group of three of us went and got burgers and fries and they were perfect! Sure it is a little expensive at ~$12 per person but it is really worth it. I personally got a bacon cheeseburger, which in my opinion was done perfectly! And the fries that they have are superb! If you've been to a Five Guys anywhere else in the country, you know what you're getting here. It's burgers and fries and little else. However, they are both incredibly delicious and the burgers come with any fixings you could want. The only downside to this location is the lack of seating. Your standard Five Guys location. Very loud! One staff person in the kitchen would constantly yell out the status of orders. I was visiting from out of town, but if I was a local her constant squawking would keep me from returning. Also received a very small sized regular fries order. Ordered the regular fries intending to share them with my son. Normally the are served in a cup placed in a brown bag, and the cup is over-filled so that the overflow fries are contained in the paper bag.
