How am I comparing BBQ in Utica to these locations where meals can reach upwards of $400 for 2 you may ask? The food is so unique. Typically when I get BBQ - no matter how good it is- I reach for the sauce. Even though it's on the table, it's not needed here. Each dish is so unique. The owner/chef personally comes out and describes what he put into each dish, from the ribs with peanut brittle on top (I'm sure I'm missing many descriptors) to the Elote Corn. Each dish that came out made mine and my wife's mouth water. It's that good. Cost for the four course dinner is fair for the amount of food, quality and service. If you are anywhere near Utica, you need to try this place. You won't be disappointed ... until you go back to a typical BBQ restaurant.

Essentially you pick different meats and veggies and they bring them to you and you cook them yourself on a burner in front of you. They also have an area with cooked sides, salads, and desserts. Food was good but idk if I have myself or the restaurant to thank for that lol. Server was funny and nice but was infrequent. Was about $45 for just me. Not sure how quick i would go back. 1st time stopping here . I drive to Syracuse a few times a week and always looking for a new spot …read more I searched BBQ and this came up. Food is give it a 3 , price and service is give it a 5 . A cheap quick place to grab a sandwich. Looks like outdoor dining, windows to order from . I got the hot dog with the works , and the roast beef sandwich. Both were like $5 each . I love my condiments but the hot dog had so much stuff on it , the hot dog was lost somewhere in that pile . It was so soggy it was almost impossible to eat . The roast beef sandwich was the better of the two, I've had $15 sandwiches that's not as good , it's on a small burger bun with over an inch of meat and sauce , also a mess , but that's why it's $5 ! So good . Also a little messy . But tasty ! There was a line , but there quick to fill the orders , give it a try !

This had been a diner staple for us given how close it was to our house. Creekside fit the bill and we were able to get in and get a table. Ownership changed and while menu had the same items, items were prepared differently. We opted for lunch given our favorite breakfast item was slightly different. Sandwiches were OK but were mainly bread and lettuce with very little bacon. Restaurant was not busy but we waited a long time for our food and had to ask about our food. Wait staff were friendly and attentive and came over several times to refill our drinks and make sure we had what was needed. This is a diner but one thing we liked in the past was the outdoor seating and holiday decor. Deck was closed as it was in need of repairs and no holiday decor. Would go back but would try something different.
