The little burgers are plenty filling and come nicely equipped when ordered All the Way. I especially like the sautéed mushrooms. The snow white buns seem likely to be PHO-laden - I'm afraid to check for fear of feeling even more guilty when we eat here. The large fries easily feed a family of four - which helps keep the total bill around $25. It's as if the spilling-over-into-the-bag portions are mandated at a corporate level. The drink station offers a glimpse into the future of fountain drinks with a splendid array of mix-ins and a wide selection of soda and soda water. Free peanuts. A good time for the whole family. I found the food here to be disappointing. After seeing so many 5-star ratings, I fell into the trap of expecting 5-star food. One of the reasons for their high rating is claimed to be their fresh ground meat. Well, it may be fresh, but it certainly is not of high quality. I bit on two occasions into a small bit of bone. The texture is too gristly for my taste, and it seems to have a very high fat content, a sign of inexpensive ground beef. The choice of many toppings is a nice touch. The fries are average and way too salty. I think Five Guys is overrated at 5 stars. Burgers cooked on a grill at home are still no. 1 with me. read more

Surprising even to myself, I found myself liking the burger here even more than a Fuddrucker's burger even though Fudd's obvs uses high quality big patties and cooks to order rather than always well done. Not even sure why. The big thing though are the always ultra fresh/hot/crispy fries with a decent amount of skin left on them. To me this is where they knock it out of the park. I love Five Guys, I just feel guilty going there knowing that the food might give me a coronary any minute ! How many times do you go to a fast food place and they either screw up your order or forget to put something in the bag?! Not Five Guys , they offer the ability to put almost anything on your burger and get it right almost 100% of the time !! The burgers are always juicy and the fries are always hot and overflowing the bag. I could give them 5 stars but I like to reserve that for places that really knock my socks off. Five Guys knows how to execute and the food is consistently good with lots of it ! I predict that Five Guys will be the only upscale fast food burger joint to survive long term. I love their burgers! I usually enjoy adding the toppings of my own. Stay away from Jalapenos if you can't handle chili coz its too hot. Not only their burgers are great. Love this chain and particularly this location. The Natick location is a little brighter and less messy than the one down the road in Framingham, in my experience. I'm a healthy eater, and the regular size burger and fries is definitely too much for me. The junior burger is perfect, and I like to split the regular fries in half. Huge hats-off to a chain restaurant that hasn't gotten me ill with gluten cross-contamination. The burgers are safely grilled away from the buns, and the fry oil never touches anything but the fries themselves. Tell them to be careful with your order, and they will. Yum! read more

I had no intention of hitting up a burger joint for lunch yesterday but I passed an unexpected 5 Guys and had to taste it - have been hearing so much about this place! I did go to a 5 Guys in New Jersey and didn't love it - but I decided to give it another shot. Oh delishness. And cheap! And SO much food. Warning - a regular burger comes w/2 patties - which, at first seemed ridiculous so I only ate my burger w/1 patty. Next thing I know - I'm eating the next patty and TONS of french fries. Disclaimer: I only ate there once so far. I've always wondered why so many places deliver pizza, but nobody delivers hamburgers. What's the deal with that? Five Guys does not deliver, but they have take-out, online ordering, and specialize in burgers, and they're two cuts above McDonalds and Burger King (maybe one and a half cuts about Wendy's). The online ordering was a real rush. The interface worked well, and I was never confused or worried. I specified my pick-up time, and the order was ready exactly on time as I arrived. Most astonishing, the order was 100% correct. That is nearly unheard of when it comes to hamburgers. I noticed that when they had put the fries in the bag, they had a bunch of extra fries which they added to the bag. It's just my sense that in a typical fast-food chain, this would've gotten the employee in trouble, so this small thing cued me that the staff is customer-oriented. The burgers were Excellent, and the fries Very Good. I ordered 2 burgers for myself, but could only eat one (generous portions). At my age and cholesterol level, burgers and fries are a special treat, and it's nice to not feel like can partake without compromising on quality. read more

Not happy. I have an hour for lunch and 5 guys is right down the street from work. I got here at 11:44 placed my order for a bacon cheeseburger and was among only 2 other people in the store at the time. I then watched another person's order come up before mine who came in after me and when I asked about my order they said they were waiting on fries which by the way I also watched them make prior to the other person leaving with their order. Classic, delicous burgers with all the toppings you can choose from and some of the best fries ever. You can't go wrong with a Five Guy's - you always leave satisfied. Enjoy some peanuts as you wait for your made to order burger and sip on you beverage as much as you want as there is always free refills. I tried my first burger from this chain when I was in PA and I was hooked ever since. Ever one I've been to was consistant with the other and always great. Never a bad experience. This is perhaps one of the best "fast food chain" burgers that can be found. This location is a very new location for Metrowest and it is very successful. The lines are long, but they do move quickly. The standard burgers are big as they are double hamburgers with what ever you can think of that goes on a burger. Lots and lots of choices of toppings. That is their strength. Their fries are also good too. Freshly made, mind you, and huge. They also have these big boxes of peanuts that are complimentary. So, people with peanut allergies, be very careful, there are nuts everywhere. Actually, peanuts are not nuts but you know what I mean. Stay away if you have nut or peanut allergies, because I dont think that they can control where this stuff goes because there are peanuts all over the floor. However, if you dont have allergies to nuts and peanuts, check this place out. The staff is very friendly. I am told that they have this incentive plan that encourages people to provide really good service and that any customber could be a secret customer who is empowered to give them bonuses. My first visit to a Five Guys, stopped in for an early lunch lunch, having heard generally good things about FGs. Service for me was quick since I was their first customer of the day; by the time I left there was a short line. Burger was very good, tasted fresh, not over-cooked; fries are quite good -- they'd be first-rate if they were just a mite crisper, but they taste great -- unlike like some places these really tasted like potatoes -- and were not over-salted. Compared with Shake Shack I would say that Shake Shack plays it more upscale and offers beer but Five Guys' food is better. Both are really noisy. read more

alrite so i recommend eating hear once a month or less... very good french fries and bugers. "passionate" cashiers", and mello yellow! Burgers are well cooked and juicy, and of course covered in grease (yay!) The fries really make this place. I've mastered the system to getting the best fries also. You order the original fries (non cajun) b/c they are crispier. Then you ask them for cajun seasoning and hot sauce on the side, so that you can still get that cajun flavor. Very good burger and fries compared to places serving "rapidly prepared foods". Everything was fresh and tasty. The burger/bun ratio is off, a bigger bun (my preference) or smaller burger would be an improvement. The sandwich was a little soggy by the time I bit into it. Fries were good, but over-salted. Liked the peanuts. The place was painfully noisy despite being only half filled. A welcome addition to the area, I'd give them another star if it weren't so loud. read more

I stopped in for lunch. Service was terrific, fast and quick. People friendly and nice. Burgers were tasty, a little bit greasy. They actually put 2 patties into the regular burger, and put 1 patty into the " little" burger . I think this makes the burger more messy to eat than it should be. The burger was very messy to eat, fell apar, not sure why. Fries were very greasy and too salty. Fries only come in one size $2.99, which is really too much for one person , but good size to share with two people. They should have a smaller fries for $1.99. Toppings were very fresh, lettuce, tomato , pickles. Soda fountain works well coca cola products, and a good mix and free refills.They serve you in a brown bag even though you are eating in, a tray would be nicer. I just don't understand why people think the burgers here are amazing! My boyfriend and I went there yesterday because everyone was saying they had the best burgers. Not so much :( The place was crowded so we thought that was a good sign. We ended up ordering a hamburger, cheeseburger, 2 large fires and 2 medium cokes. At Wendys or mcdonalds this would be about $16 maybe $17. We were a little shocked when the cashier said it was $29.50! We both thought these better be some good burgers and fries for this price. Nope! Our burgers looked like the workers had smushed them after they were placed in the tin foil. The bun was super thin and gross and overall pretty much tasted like wendys, actually I think it was worse. We both couldn't even finish the burgers and my boyfriend always finishes everything. He hates to waste food. The fries were okay. They were a little undercooked and somewhat bland. So disappointed. I thought it was going to be so much better than it was. Just another bad fast food joint were the quality of the food is compromised(they have like 10 teens just shelling out the food like mcdonalds).
