That's it. No vest, no ID card, no paperwork required, full stop. I said as much, was met with attitude, stepped out to keep the peace, came back in with documentation anyway (which I didn't legally owe him), and got a passive-aggressive "well you could've shown me that at the beginning" -- followed by a genuinely bizarre stare-down over the counter. Charming. Then, while waiting on my order, I made the mistake of taking a video of the (admittedly cute) interior -- 100-year-old diner car, hard not to want a keepsake -- and got yelled at for filming, with a pointed accusation that my brother outside was "also filming," said like it was a crime. Meanwhile this place has an active social media presence built on customers doing exactly that. You can't crowdsource your Instagram content and then treat a phone camera like a weapon. Oh, and the hot dog itself: $5 for a boiled dog on white bread, no toasting, no char, nothing. A sad little snack to cap off a genuinely unpleasant interaction. The building has real history. The guy behind the counter does not deserve it.

As I waited in line I could see that a young teen in front of me who was ordering his lunch was coming up a bit short with the money needed to pay for the food he planned to get. He had a ziplock full of change that he had brought to buy his lunch. Before I could step in to offer to cover the difference he needed the man up front who I assumed was the manager calmly and without pause or judgement said that it was ok and that he would take care of things for the boy and that things were all set. The young woman at the register also was helpful and kind to the teen. I thought their demeanor and kindness was great and it made my day. As I left I stopped to speak to him to praise them for being such good people and for the great customer service. I went to hand him a big tip for the two of them since I was so warmed by their humanity and helpfulness but I was met with a very humble no, no, no and I saw that he was very pleased though that I spoke up to give them praise. So off I went to eat my lunch the fries were...Great... the fish sandwich was ... Great.. I did call a different location and spoke to their manager, she didn't seem surprised, and I am waiting for the district manager to call me back. It's been over a day, but I have patience. If not, we are going to submit this to his bank, on Monday, because it is fraud. So no, I don't recommend this place.

What a dump, A dirty place with no decoration, noisey and grossly overpriced. Stacks of bagged potatoes as walls that smell moldy does not appeal. Why someone would not go next door to Panera bread would be a question where it's comfortable and quiet. Gross red and white interior, reminded us of a dirty subway in the Bowery of New York. Don't waste your money or time. After seeing a staff member pick his nose then handle a burger really chased us out quickly. The staff if you can call them that seem to be training in front of you, screaming and yelling, and just being socially inept, the manager should be fired. If this is society today and this cubicle is an example of dining, they should rename this, "Lord Of The Flies," burger joint. Treat your children better than this, if you want a real burger go to, "Not Your Average Joes," in Framingham, the price is the same for a real sit down experience. This excuse for an eatery is an insult to ones intellegence. This rating should be zero. This establishment will not last, put in a Friendly's restaurant, and loose the gas station toilet look. read more

Five Guys has the best burger for the buck. They make them like you'd make them. Plus you can put about any conceivable condiments on it. Their fries are also great, but you don't need more than a small as they fill the bag with an extra scoop. And they have a Coke Freestyle machine which is always a plus. read more

Great Fries…read more I ordered the patty melts, and here, my comments: Staff: was very friendly, although some of the cooks/staff behind the counter didn't understand my English when I asked that the burger package wrapping be marked to know who's got what (one burger with jalapeños, one with green peppers, etc.) that should not have been a difficult conversation. They pointed to the receipt on the outside of the brown bag, "that's what's in your bag." Which works until you open the back and start handing out burgers. The place was clean and bright. Hamburger Meat: the quality of the hamburger meat is very good, but hard to find its taste in the Burger itself with all the cheese, toppings, etc.. The burger patties are kind of like smashed, and thin. So you're not gonna get a medium rare burger here that's thick and juicy. And that's OK cause it's a different style. Speaking of....Cheese: I would think a gourmet burger place would have more selections of cheese versus orange plastic-food-product American cheese. And they put way too much on it versus the size and thickness of the patty: and it dominates the flavor. I actually bought three Patty melts for our group and everyone complained that was hard to taste the meat behind the cheese especially. So one) provide of a larger selection of. Buns: good fresh and nicely toasted on the grill itself.. Fries: I got the Cajun fries. And there was lots of it. And that was perfection! I think they had the seasoning just right--to be just a little spicy, but not overpowering. I really liked those. It was hard to stop eating them! Onion rings: No, they don't have rings. And for a upper class hamburger place: they really should. I mean, they got shakes too after all. Price: not the worst for a custom burger place. Summary: I think the best experience here would be a double patty with just some lettuce and tomato and pickles if you choose. And get rid of all the other stuff and definitely no thick orange cheese food product. Two of the three people in my group said they would not go back because they couldn't taste the hamburger patty because it was so thin, and even finding their minimal amount of toppings--and cheese-- distracting. One was constantly saying that their own burgers they make are better than this. OK. I personally liked mine, but again the good hamburger meat got lost in all the orange stuff and topping that weren't "grilled." So I'm gonna go back and keep it simple next time.
