"Farm to Table Fries" The restaurant is very clean and organized. I wasn't sure what to expect for portion size so I got the Little Bacon Cheeseburger and the little fries. Good thing I went that route. The "Little" burger means it's a single burger patty. Regular size is two burger patties. I had my "Little" burger topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and sliced jalapeno peppers. The so called "Little" bacon cheeseburger was huge. It was the tastiest burger I've had in a restaurant in a long time. I believe the star of the show at Five Guys are the fries. They have bags upon bags of Idaho potatoes on display ready to be cut fresh daily and fried to perfection. I love that they leave the skins on for more flavor. They even have a sign stating that their supply of potatoes came from Riverside Farm in Parker, Idaho. They really take pride in freshness. Five Guys has one of those new self serve soda machines that blends a gizzilion soda combinations. I prefer bottled water, but it's a cool machine. They even offer free peanuts to pick on while you wait for your order. As the cook bagged my order, he placed the burger in the bag, then the "Little" cup of fries, and then he dumped a small tray of extra fries in the bag. My initial thought that the price of $12.74 for a burger and fries was high. But the huge portion made it well worth it. read more

Great fresh burger and fresh cut fries!! Always better than the other famous burger fast food restaurants!!

Yes would definitely go again. Burgers are hmm good, their amount of fries are to die for special with the Cajun seasoning OMG. (I always ask for a small container on the side). My daughter's love their peanut box. We always take a bag home. Service is awesome everytime we go their. And it's always clean. read more

Staff was friendly, food was excellent. Sat down after ordering and food was brought to my table within 5 minutes. Highly recommend

Five Guys is always going to get a great review from me for the food. I love the smash style burger and the fries are to die for. They have one of those soda machines that has lots of flavors. Peach Sprite is always my go to there. Counter staff was friendly and moved everyone along so the wait was minimal. My only regret every time I go there is the pricing. 2 bacon cheeseburgers,a large fry and two of the regular drinks were $52. I need to talk myself into going to Chili's for the 3fer more often if I want to eat out. read more

I was double charged, the owner never made recompense. The store itself is virtually impossible to get a hold of by phone. So basically, they ripped me off then ignored me. Predatory business model. read more

For my first time here, Five guys is a fine establishment however its not the best option for a pescatarian. I ordered the veggie sandwich w. Cheese and large Cajun fries. The sandwich was okay. One thing I can say is they do not shay you on the fries at all! read more

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and it has neither bacon or cheese. Since when did burgers become so expensive??? I don't remember paying $10 a burger several years ago. The burgers are okay, I love that you can add all the toppings. However, the patty itself is McDonalds quality, to me. But without the McDonald's price tag. I'm also not really a fan of greasy food, thanks IBS, so I guess I'm just bitter about all things burgers and fries lol. I love how clean it is there though and the service is very nice. read more

Definitely one of the best burgers in town. . . Get your fix 11AM to 10PM , 7 Days a week. A Simple Menu- Burgers Fries and drinks, that's pretty much it! They also have hotdogs and a veggie or grilled cheese. The veggie grilled cheese is any of the toppings(See below) on a hamburger roll with cheese for $2.49. Another import note is that all the regular burgers are actually DOUBLE Burgers. If you want a single patty order one of the "Little" burgers. Everything on the menu is under 6$ so it's inexpensive. A regular fry is the size of a large fry anywhere else because they always put an extra scoop in the bag. . . A large fry is enough for two adults and 2 kids with some left over. The Five Guys Style Fries are super delicious with the potato skins still on, deep fried in peanut oil. Mmmm good! They also have cajun style fries which are pretty hot! A chalkboard on the wall tells where todays potatoes came from. Lots O' Free Toppings including: Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo Relish, Onions, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Grilled onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Jalapeno Peppers, Green Peppers, A-1 Sauce, Bar-B-Q Sauce and Hot Sauce. Bulk peanuts in the shell to eat while you wait for your order. The place is real busy because it just opened. I suggest calling in your order. . . read more

Five Guys - Cheeseburger with tomatoes and mayonaise - Burgers Near Me - Middletown, Connecticut

Whenever I want a no nonsense burger with anything I can possibly think of and a ton of great fries to go along with said burger I hit 5 Guys. Its not a burger which will make you fall off your chair but then again I can only think of one burger ever that made me come unglued. Every topping under the sun...amazing what fresh jalapeno's do to a burger. I really like this place and have even tried the bunless burger, wrapped in lettuce...I advise against this unless you wear a garbage bag over yourself or consume naked and then get hosed off. read more

Here I am, it's 330pm and I have not eaten anything all day (due to my hectic travel schedule). I just happen to be driving through Middletown, Ct when I can't take it anymore, I need to eat something. I whip out google maps and examine what food I may find near by. I'm scrolling through the typical options: Japanese, Mexican, Italian, blah blah then I saw it! FIVE GUYS. I've never been to a FIVE GUYS in my life and I've heard a lot about it over the years and in passing. I figured why the hell not? A burger sounds perfect right now. Boy, was I in for a surprise. As I walk through the door and proceed to the counter, I am greeted by the most charismatic person I have ever met, Eddie. I look at the menu dumbfounded at all of the options, then I quickly explain to Eddie that I've never been to a FIVE GUYS before. He clapped his and gave a devilish grin of excitement when I asked for his recommendation. He was so passionate in his effort to explain why FIVE GUYS was the best and how I'm about to be blown away as soon as I taste the food. All the while he is putting my order in he is explaining this to me he suddenly stops talking and looks at me. The next words that came out of his mouth are monumental: " I'm just going to stop explaining because you are about to find out for yourself". Let me tell you, I took one bite. The freshest burger I have ever had in my entire life (yes, even better than the one at uncle Joe's annual 4th of July cookout). I can't even explain it. Honestly I think this is why Eddie stopped explaining to me, he just ran out of words to describe this taste. The Cajun fries are on point perfectly crispy and just a hint of spice. The strawberry milkshake was the cherry on top, another Eddie recommendation I am so happy I went with. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Eddie, I am here to tell you that this has hands down been the best experience of my life in any burger joint, any restaurant, anywhere in my life. Thank you. Your charismatic spirit will take you far in life. Thank you FIVE GUYS for making such a quality product read more

Over-Rated. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, so it makes it all the tougher to give them a lousy review; however, you shouldn't order a cheeseburger and feel that it has less meat then a cheeseburger at McDonald's. I mean, seriously, where's the beef? The cajun fries were great though and the free peanuts were a nice touch. read more

The good: juicy burgers with unlimited free topping variations, overflowing serving of fries, and the cool touchscreen soda machine with so many soda flavors. The bad: not diet-friendly and it's just down the street. Screw diet tonight. Having an affair with Five Guys instead. See ya later. read more

Five Guys offers a great takeout burger. The meat is delicious and flavorful, and the free topping selection is impressive. The regular burger has two patties and, when paired with the bucketload of fries tossed in the bag, is plenty to fill me up to capacity. The fries are delicioso to the max. You can taste the difference that fresh cut potato fries cooked in peanut oil makes. They even have malt vinegar. All you can eat peanuts in the shell are a tasty treat to enjoy while waiting fir your burger. If you are in a hurry, Be sure to order online and you can skip the line! read more

Being California natives, my wife and I have the constant battle over which is better - Five Guys or In N Out. I think it's whichever place you aren't at. Five Guys is great because there's so many good options for things to add to your burger. I see that I can add peppers and grilled onions and stuff, and I'm all "Me want food." Their fries (plain or cajun) are good and you only need a small order of them to feed your entire family and pets. Plus, hey, peanuts. Oh, and you always have to remind yourself - the regular burger is actually a double burger, and the "small" is a single burger. I have to say it as a mantra when I go so I don't forget and have my stomach explode from a ground beef invasion. read more

5 guys is insane with their pricing. I can go to chili's and get 2 beers and a bacon cheeseburger for 70 cents less than a bacon cheeseburger fries and a soda at 5 guys. 5 guys are crooks. Why do people keep on going there? I know I won't go anymore. I have also never heard of a fast food chain that doesn't offer coupons or discounts. What a joke this place is. 5 guys are greedy. read more

Five Guys serves up fantastic burgers and delicious hot dogs. Just as importantly, they offer a great way to justify your meaty indulgence: you can pile up as many vegetables as you want. It's practically health food! At least you can make yourself believe that, until they fill your entire bag with fries. (That's right, ignore the deceptive serving cup when ordering the fries...get the large, and they fill the cup and then the entire rest of the bag.) That's the chain. As for this particular location, it is my *absolute favorite* Five Guys I have ever been in. Everything is always clean, service is always fast, but most of all, the people are hands-down the friendliest bunch I have ever seen. Always smiling, sometimes singing. I make a point to go every time I come anywhere near Middletown. read more

"So: this is what a fast burger and fries is supposed to taste like." When I first visited a Five Guys a few years ago, that's what went through my mind, as actual flavor washed over my taste buds. At fast food prices, Five Guys delivers a tasty burger and truly superb french fries. Gourmet? No, though I've paid more for fries that I like a lot less. I'll still get fast food elsewhere, but frankly, only when I'm doing that really-not-safe-but-gotta-save-time-somwhere insult to a meal called eating in the car. For a swift meal that tastes good, I'll head to Five Guys. The four stars are in comparison to its competition, and, well, because the french fries are, in fact, amazing. read more

I've had this brand many times before. It's never tasted this good! Perfect! Maybe it's because of the staff- they blew me away with their friendliness and kindness! Great food but I just walked out of the store on Route 66 in Middletown. The music is way too loud. I stood at the cointer trying to order and the guy could not hear me. I am eating at Taco bell tonight. read more

My mother and I used to come here a lot...and loved it. These days, sadly, there is a whole new landscape out there. Today, I got her out of the house, careful to make sure that she stayed in the car. I was under the impression that fast food places were available for in-person takeout. This one wasn't. I was banned outright from entering the building. Was only going to order, go back outside, and wait...but that was not possible. If the man had offered to take my order at the door, I certainly would have complied. I am not comfortable placing "online orders" using a credit card on the Internet, so I guess I won't be coming back. Will really miss Donna...what a wonderful and friendly personality. God bless everyone, during these difficult times. read more

The first Five Guys I have ever been too. Parking is a nightmare. They are always crowded, but fear not, you can park next door in the banks parking lot. They wont mind, they close early. Also, parking lot is tough to get into. Traffic is disastrous in that area. Burgers are delicious and the wait is about 5-10 minutes, but it is worth it for fresh food. Fried are made with peanut oil so they are gluten free. They give you a ton of fries here. Staff was pleasant. If you are a burger fanatic, you must go to any five guys. If you live in Wallingford, Meriden, or Middletown. This is the one to go to. read more

Five Guys really deserves like fifteen stars. Seriously, it's that good. When I want a really good burger my way, I make the drive to the Middletown location and order the regular cheeseburger with everything on it (and I mean EVERYTHING. I like my burgers messy) and some fries and just go all in. Everything is cooked to order in front of you and it's all really delicious. Make sure you get the Cajun fries. The seasoning compliments the fresh cut and fried potato perfectly. For under $10 with a drink and well made food, this is a true value meal. My one small complaint is that I wish they'd leave the seeds in the jalapenos as I'd like to actually taste some heat. read more

I recently ordered from here after not eating five guys for quite awhile. I got a little cheese burger and a small fry to go. I must say both were very delicious and I finished both. My only real complaint with five guys is that their prices are really expensive for a burger joint, hopefully they don't keep increasing them. read more

Quick and delish. I usually get my hamburger with cheese, mustard, ketchup and loads of pickles. And I love it. I love that they will put a zillion pickles on my burger if I ask for it for no extra charge. Oh, and the fries! TONS of fries. All hand cut there and fried up perfectly. Somedays it can be a huge wait, long lines and the like. BUT, its worth the wait and its really not so bad because they have really got their game on and serve people rather quickly. And while you are waiting you can always eat some free peanuts. And the price is pretty darn good for a hamburger joint. read more

Back again for another dose of beef (and potato!) goodness, with a classic rock soundtrack - the wife and I arrived just before the Friday dinner rush. We each had a cheeseburger (all the way) and small fries - as we've experienced before, small fries are really "giant"! Get plenty of catsup! We also watched William S. and his kitchen crew methodically and cheerfully serve up a lot of delicious dinners - quite a team. read more

Five Burgers is quite possibly the best burger pound for pound that I've eaten and I often try to convince my wife and son to troop it for 20 minutes to get here. You get what you pay for and pound for pound, their burgers are filling, tasty and worth the drive every time as opposed to dishing out $1.00 less for say McDonald's or Burger King or other. The fries they serve here are also hands down some of the best I've eaten, and I am a burgers and fries kind of guy. The average cost of my bill here varies between $19 - $25 but every penny worth it. read more

It's Five Guys. An overcooked burger, allowing for some interaction and customization on the part of the customer in it's creation. So, yeah, it's a gimmick, but for a fast food meal, they could do much worse. Pricey, but all things considered its not appreciably more than any other burger joint. Staff is great, or at least I've never had any reason to complain. Five Guys is good if you're in a hurry and don't want the typical fast food garbage. read more
