First time here... great food! The hamburgers were really good and so were the fries. My kid, who is a picky eater, loved the grilled cheese. The bacon was awesome, the beef very fresh and cooked perfectly and the tomatoes were ripe. We loved the Cajun spice on the fries! Minus one star for the high price ($28 for 3 people at a fastfood joint?) and a clump of raw onions on one of the burgers. The staff here has always been friendly and attentive, during the 2 min ordering process. I love this ace because it's Ketogenic friendly. I love their bacon burger wrapped in lettuce. The food comes fast and fresh and there's free peanuts to eat while you wait. This is a great fast food option that tastes pretty damn good. read more

I don't know, I just don't really get Five Guys. When it opened up a couple years ago, everyone was so excited and said this was the best burger place ever. But I honestly believe that a fast food burger is better, and much cheaper. It was good, don't get me wrong, but not THAT good. I agree with a lot of other posters that the bun falls apart pretty easily, which, for me, ruins a burger. And it was SO greasy. I know that burgers aren't the healthiest food, but this just make me feel sick the whole night. My brother loves this place, so I go a lot with him. Fantastic first visit! Very polite and friendly staff helped put this quick burger over the top. Being a"BURGER GUY", I stopped in to give it a try. I expected a fancy McDonald's. But to my surprise was greeted by a happy crew waiting to make my visit great. My burger was stacked over 5" high when I opened it up and tasted spectacular. This was my first time at this particular location in Maple Grove. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed. I ordered the bunless cheeseburger with mushrooms, onions, and wrapped in lettuce. As someone on the low carb lifestyle, I really wanted to love this burger. However, the burger was not flavorful and failed to deliver. My family enjoyed their cheeseburgers and fries but I just did not care for my bland bunless burger. I've had other bunless burgers in the twin cities that have delivered. I like this place because I don't mind limpy fries and greasy burgers. I don't really see the difference between the burgers that are served here and Wendy's except for its a little bit pricer here. Free peanuts and fast food is a plus also. Can be a bit messy due to other guests throwing the peanut shells on the ground. This is a once every other month place. read more

This place is amazing! Food: For fast food the quality of the food is nearly restaurant quality! You can get a giant quarter pound to half a pound burger with as many of the 15 toppings they have at no extra cost! My Bacon Cheeseburger is always well done, juicy, and delicious with a mountain of toppings i put on that toasted bun. You get to pick from a cajun fry and a five guys style fry and i myself cannot even finish a regular fry. You definately get your moneys worth in the quantity and quality of the food! Atmosphere: When I walked in, there was upbeat 80's music playing and a happy crew member that greeted me, introduced me to the menu, and had a big smile on his face. While your waiting for your food you can watch it all get made because of the open kitchen. You can get all the free peanuts you want if your a peanut lover! This kinda makes your 5 minute wait even shorter. Then they yell out your number and you get your food in a paper bag. Sit down at a table and rip it open and enjoy! ... Great service, clean store, and tasty food...what more could you want from a burger joint!? Cost: The average cost for a sandwich is from 3-6$, fry is 3-4$. and a drink is 2$. So the total meal cost per person, depending what you get, is from 3-10$. It is a little spendy but you are definitely getting your moneys worth with the high quality and quantity of the food your getting. The East coast's In n' Out! In the "midwest"! Being a vegetarian I was happy to see 3 veggie sandwich options for only $2.79! I tried the cheese veggie sandwich and split an order of fries with the others i was with. These are high quality sandwiches, you definitely get more than you pay for here. They serve fresh food, yummy fries (made with peanut oil), have nice employees, clean store, fairly fast service. What more can you ask for?! A good find in Minnesota! read more

Decent burger, topping choices are plentiful. The jalapeños are raw, which I thought was strange. My biggest gripe is that everything was way too expensive. This was my first time ever hearing of this place so I was definitely interested in trying it. The place was very bright and super clean love that in a place I am going to eat at. Burgers are very well priced for their size and taste but please make sure you do not eat anything hours before hand or you will not be able to finish. There fries are not that great or at least the ones I had were not that great very spicy but no seasoning. I would go back again I hope I just have better luck with the fries :) read more

Burgers are good, but not real cheese (American cheese). Fries are hot but not crisp. Place was under staffed at 7 pm on a Thursday - one guy at the grill. Place was dirty, floor filthy, had to wipe down our own table. Poor guy at the grill was very friendly taking our order though. He finally got help at 7:30. Music level is for the benefit of the workers. - way too loud! Can't have a conversation with your table mate. They don't want you to linger. read more

Okay, I'm not a huge fan of burgers (I may have mentioned that in prior reviews). But the burgers here are pretty amazing. It's like a Jimmy John's for burgers. Somewhat confusing at first, but once you understand the menu, really easy and quick. The only other things you can get are hot dogs and French fries. They have bags of potatoes creating lines and aisles in the restaurant and have a sign saying where their potatoes came from. Their service sucks for online pickups. I was greeted towards the front and told my order would be ready in a bit. It was busy, so I sat and waited away from the pickup counter, but could still see and hear everything. After 20 minutes, no one had called a name or anything. The person who greeted me took a break or left, and I had to go ask about my food to get it, while they just had it sitting in the back corner. The kid who handed me the food, and to whom I mentioned my frustration to, just brushed me off with a half-assed "sorry" but not sorry. Get some better workers. I wanted to updated my information. Steve called me today, apologized about the mistake, and they want me to visit again. On 10/24/10 they were busy, but it was not as though lines were running out the door or I had to even wait to place an order. Therefore, I had a hard time with the fact that I ordered two bacon cheeseburgers and 1 fry only to end up with a wrong order. You may want stand next to the glass and watch them make your burgers if they are busy. They did take care of this and I will visit again. I am now looking forward to my next visit. read more

5 guys gives great value with tasty burgers and Cajun fries. Generous portions leave you satisfied while not feeling overly oily from the home made fries. I did get the regular burger which has 2 patties, however, I won't make that mistake again...just too much greatness to handle. Give it a shot. read more

I like places like this that only do a few things and try to do them well. My burger with the extras was nice and sloppy and enjoyable to eat. The Jalapeno were fresh sliced which is not common for Minnesota. I am not a big fan of the style of fries they have but that is just a personal preference. Wish there was some more seating but dug the free peanuts. read more

Took family over for burgers and fries (cajun fries were great if you like that sort of thing) - very affordable and fast. Got more fries than I could eat (can't believe i just said that!) and when I ordered the regular burger, I got 2 burgers on the bun, so I was very full (Will be fine with the single burger I think). Pretty much what everybody else has said. Had a Bacon Cheese Burger and a regular fries. The 'standard/double' burger was too much for me, and I'd get a single next time. I had a regular order of fries as well. They could have a bit more crispy. Not fond of fries in a 'cup'...especially when they're overflowing the cup and making everything else in the bag a greasy mess. As mentioned, the fries are skin-on if that's your thing. Line went very quick. Food came out quite quickly as well. About enough time to munch on maybe half the little 'boat' of peanuts I scooped up. The burger itself was very good. Probably not up to #1 in the country as voted by Zagat, but certainly not a disappointment. Absolutely a contender anyway. Downers for me were the the somewhat limp fries and, well, a tip-jar at a national fast-food chain that is entirely self-service and your food comes in a bag dine-in or out is kinda tacky imo. read more

Sighh.. Where to begin? We'll i can tell you one thing, hype is not always a good thing. My friends and co-workers told me all sorts of stories about how 5 guys had a delicious kick ass burger and it definitely fell short of my expectations. I ordered most of the toppings that were available with no sauce just so I could judge it fairly. The burger tasted like any ordinary burger from a burger joint. The regular and cajun fries were also disappointing. Nothing too special about this place besides the price. For a decent size burger and fries your looking at $8-10. (Not cheap) If you've ever eaten at an in-and-out from the west coast you will surely be disappointed in 5 guys. read more

I'm a burger guy, love them and have eaten a lot of them. I heard Five Guys has great burgers so I checked it out. The burger itself was glorious, which is surprising, and hard for me to say because...well...it's a chain and I'm more into the independent local joints. But alas, I am an honest man and the burger from Five Guys places #3 on best burgers in Minnesota (Kings Place #1, 5-8 Club #2). The price was a little up there, but heck, the burger was such quality I can't really complain too much. The fries were the homemade kind with the skin still on them which were good and the service was friendly. The only reason I can't give them five stars is because of the atmosphere. The place seemed too...clean? Sanitary? White? The colors and lighting didn't promote a relaxing atmosphere, the music was too loud, and it felt like a chain (which it is). Anyways, I still give this place 4 stars for the quality of the burger and the friendliness of the staff. read more
