Bacon Double Cheeseburger and forgot to take pictures before I started eating it.

My significant other had me try the bacon double cheeseburger from Five Guys and if you want a tasty sloppy burger they rock it. We all know that fat, grease, adds flavor and the burgers at Five Guys have plenty of flavor. NO, I'm not a burger or pizza person but would certainly eat another Five Guys Bacon Double Cheeseburger and the French Fries are outstanding as well. They aren't cheap on the fries and did like their strawberry shake.

This Five Guys recently got a makeover/update and is BOMB. Also, their restaurant manager has been at this location for a few years - and she is a boss, literally. Always present and great customer service.

We have ordered five guys through a delivery service several times during Covid. Each time the burger is more 'crave-able' than the time before. These are the kind of burgers you crave when you're hung over, emotional, or just really hungry. Skip the bunless burger and go big.

Burger and Fries - and the fry container is still mostly full!

Burgers (with or w/o cheese and bacon), Hot Dogs, Fries (cajun or regular). That's it*. This place has one simple concept. Simple menu, fresh everything, cooked to order. Only thing in a can is going to be the ketchup and mustard. Want jalapeno peppers on that - they are fresh, not canned. Fries? They come in as whole potatoes and are sliced there, then fried up in peanut oil. It takes a little while for the food, but not too bad even on a busy day. They have peanuts for noshing, and the kitchen crew (open to watch them work) keep up a very interesting conversation the whole time and really seem to enjoy themselves. Burgers are big, fry orders enormous. I honestly can say I have never walked away from a good burger and fry's and left food behind until I did at five guys. The regular burger is two patties and huge, and the fries - I have had smaller family size orders. Plan on splitting an order with at least two people, if not three. Dr. Atkins would never approve. But is it the best burger, as they claim? mmmmm, no. Good, even very good, but not the best. Same with the fries. Very good, but the best? Have to say no. Better than fast food. Better than Red Robin - but I have had a couple that are better (try the Old Fashioned in downtown Madison, for example) Place is loud and busy. But hey - that's what they offer - brassy, good burgers and frys, not much else. I will be back *ok, you can get a grilled cheese a vegie sandwich, but that is it - no chicken, no pork, no rings no nothing else. You can have your burger or hot dog with a dozen different toppings, add frys (or not) and that's it.

Even though it has been snowing non stop since yesterday morning, we decided to go out and find something to eat. We wanted to stick to somewhere close by so we thought Maple Grove ..and then Five Guys! It was our first time there tonight, and although it was all white out, we were surprised to see that the place was packed. We ordered the regular cajun fries, little (one beef patty) bacon cheeseburger with all toppings for me, and regular (2 patties) bacon cheeseburger with mayo, onion, lettuce, tomato, mushroom, and bell peppers for my bf. I really liked how they had free peanuts for customers to nibble while waiting for the burgers and fries to be ready. Although the place was packed, it didnt take that long for the burgers and fries to be done. After a couple of bites, both of us agreed that we have just eaten one of the most amazing burgers tonight. My single patty bacon cheeseburger with all toppings was so good. The patty was juicy, and single patty was more than enough for me. All the toppings made my burger so full of veggies and so flavorful. It was a very messy burger, my hands were all dirty, and I loved it. The regular two patties was also perfect for my bf. He kept eating and kept saying wow it's so good. Oh and how can I not talk about their fries? Regular size was more then enough for us. The cajun seasoning was also nice .. a bit spicy but not too overpower. The portion for their fries was very generous. We couldnt finish the fries and ended up taking almost half home. Im by no means a burger guru, but I really like the burger here. I would be perfectly happy and satisfied with a little bacon cheeseburger with all toppings, and a tray of free peanuts. :)

I'm a fan of this chain. I've been to a few of them on the east coast, so I was thrilled to see one in Maple Grove. If you don't like burgers that are big, greasy and made to order, you my not like there. Make no mistake, this isn't health food. Everything is so greasy that you'll likely see grease dripping out of the brown paper bag that the food is served in. This time around, I got a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, grilled onions, and tomatoes. The burger was big... two patties, seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also got an order of fries. One order is ridiculously large. We got an empty cup to split the fries and there were enough to fill both cups with plenty more fries still in the bag. It was large enough to feed about four people. It didn't take long to get the food. There were probably seven or eight other people there and we waited less than ten minutes for our number to be called. It's pricier than most "fast food" but the quality is also much better.

I like the burgers and homemade fries. Large portions of fries. Malts are good too! I would gladly go back again.

Asked for a little cheese burger all the way with no onions and no mushrooms. Received a burger all the way with both mushrooms and onions.

My favorite was hands down the giardiniera sauce, it had a little kick to it, but in a very good way! The other sauces were your standard dipping sauces, which is fine, don't get me wrong. The giardiniera sauce was just top of the list for sure. Also, now that it's coming to be spring/summer....their lemon cake shakes are back! I HAD to get the strawberry lemon cake shake, it's so good, but oh so bad LOL! All in all, the food was hot, and the service was great! The person in the lobby cleaning tables even greeted people as they walked in and thanked them when they left. Great experience overall!

Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Order: Italian Beef with hot peppers and grilled onions with cheese sauce ... dry. The pro move is to order broth to dip on the side. If you dip the sandwich it was to be eaten in the restaurant immediately or else the bun just disintegrates and you are eating it with a knife and fork. The beef was flavorful. The cheese sauce is like a warm hug. The grilled onions add a little crunch and texture. The hot peppers add that kick that wakes up your taste buds with each bite. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a celebratory evening turned uncomfortable. Our first bartender was dismissive and unfriendly from the start. The energy felt cold and unwelcoming. Later, a different bartender stepped in and completely shifted the tone as she was warm, attentive, and actually seemed happy we were there. I genuinely appreciated her professionalism. During our visit, a patron seated near us loudly glorified his sexual experiences with Black women. While that may not be the restaurant's fault directly, it created an uncomfortable atmosphere and added to the overall feeling that the space wasn't being thoughtfully managed. To make matters worse, after finishing most of our sliders (which were ordered through the first bartender), I found hair at the bottom of the basket. Finding hair in your food is never acceptable and completely disrupted what was supposed to be a special evening. We quickly paid and left. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but the combination of dismissive service, an uncomfortable environment, and a food sanitation issue made this experience disappointing especially for a celebration. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously, because no one should leave a celebratory dinner feeling unsettled instead of appreciated.

Nothing to complain about though, just not as seasoned or spicy as I would've preferred. Overall, still a good experience, just a bit odd.
