Checks all the boxes of the standard 5 Guys experience. Burgers made freshly with ingredients you choose and lots of extra fries! The location was clean and bright. We were the second group of people to visit but the crew had already started cleaning activities so I imagine it stays pretty clean. The crew during our visit was fast and courteous. All 6 burgers were made with care and had numbered stickers that correlated to an itemized receipt that made it easy to figure out burger 'ownership'. The parking lot can be somewhat hairy with the lot entrance, Starbucks drive-thru, and parking spots all converging near the entrance to 5 Guys. Be sure to look both ways before crossing! read more

Newly renovated and exceptionally delicious. I have been driving by Five Guys for almost a year now and have always wanted to stop in. I finally did and I was amazed. I ordered a little bacon burger with onion, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. The condiments made the burger explode with flavor. The beef patty was juicy and prepared perfect! Great little location for a quick meal on the way to Tampa. I stopped eating red meat over 3 months ago and I didn't want to be a party pooper so I went in hoping for an alternative. Luckily they offer grilled cheese and also a veggie sandwich for those who do not eat meat. I went with the veggie sandwich with a side of Cajun fries. The veggie sandwich was actually pretty good and filling. It had sautéed onions and mushrooms topped with a tomato. The service was quick from taking orders to getting them out. Pitstop at this place. Ordered a burger with mushrooms, grilled onions, green peppers, jalapeno. I suppose the more "vegetables" you order the less of each you get. I think I received 2 mushrooms on mine and 2 pieces of jalapeno. (those babies had quite the bite!) It was a bit skimpy for my taste. The burger seemed to fall apart if you didn't wrap it correctly. The boyfriend settled for a double cheese- he never finishes one because either 1.)it was really good 2.)he was really hungry 3.)the meat patty was a bit smaller than others - not necessarily a good or bad thing, it just wasn't a "super sized burger". Between the two of us we shared a regular fry, and couldn't finish it. I thought they were really good - nice and crispy. Although the place seemed to have many people cooking and piling on the burgers and ordering, the cook time seemed slow relative to other burger places. Perhaps other sit-down burger joints already started cooking your patty before ordering? Who knows. The issue that I had here happens often with restaurants who offer mobile ordering. The ordering is convenient but it seems like the establishments aren't training their staff to manage it. I placed a mobile order and told them I was there when I arrived. They handed me the beverages and I waited. I watched many people order at the counter and receive their food so finally I asked. It's been at least a year since I stopped at a Five Guys. Today I visited the location in Winter Haven, FL. Store was clean as it just opened prior to my party of 4 to include 2 grandsons arrived. Store associates were pleasant. My shock came in the over the top price points that this chain believes their customers will pay for a fast food burger. First of all their is not a children's menu. So a junior burger (1 patty) is $5.99. Small fries is right at $3. & a small drink $2.69. Same with their hot dog $5.99. The hamburger on top of the menu comes in at $7.99. (2 small patties). Now if you are eating at a sit down restaurant serving angus or prime burger $9.99 to $13.99 is expected. Your plate comes with fries or a small salad-slaw and table service. Five Guys was on top of their game out of the gate. I see franchisees closing their doors in the near future as the competition in this space is fierce with frequent discounting via coupons and on line promotions. Steak n Shake gets it and puts out a good product at a realistic price point & has a nice kids menu. read more

Extremely friendly staff! The food is always excellent. Sometimes the wait can feel a little long. However it depends on how busy they are. I appreciate that my food always taste fresh. The prices are still a bit high for the amount of food. If there is one change that would be great it would be lower prices. I wish there was some type of meal combo that would come with fries+drink. The parking is absolutely horrible. There was a particular time my friend and I had to skip having lunch here cause there were no parking spots. Parking is for sure a huge problem at this location. Went with my family who do eat meat I do not but thought it was ok to order a veggie option since they have a veggie option on the menu...basically it mocks non meat eaters it was simply a bun with lettuce and tomato no veggie burger just toppings and they charge as much for a burger....felt very disappointed and disrespected! I don't judge people that do eat meat and if you have the option on the menu for veggie burgers make it a real option otherwise I would of just ordered the fries and not been made to feel like a idiot....thanks for nothing! read more

Don't really write reviews, but mine and my boyfriend's experience was so lovely that I had to do so. Milkshake was on point, food was hot and yum. The service, though, was especially wonderful. The gentleman taking my order was friendly and helpful. There was this one chap with dark brown hair running all around that joint, cleaning tables and engaging in each customer coming in and out. Admirable hustle. Environment was so chill and pleasant, several employees sang happily to the radio. It wasn't even annoying, they were actually pretty good!! I normally eat at the Tampa location but, made a pit stop at the Lakeland location. Food was quite good, and the service was good, for "Fast Food". The food tasted "fresh" and the wife and kids agree. The prices are higher then I would like, but the food tastes much better then typical fast food joints. read more

If you have been to Five Guys then this location would be the typical Five Guys. Place appeared clean and the condiments table was clean and stocked. The parking at this location can be a real challenge and the restrooms are certainly less than desirable. The burgers are in my opinion ridiculously overpriced! I can go to some of the BEST burger places, sit down at a table and have a waitress/waiter take care of everything and maybe a beer Mojo Burgers Beer cost less and include fries, Chop Shop cost less includes fries and slaw... we don't have to stand in line and stand and wait for our order.. oh make sure to check before you walk away.... 2 burgers, 1 reg fry 1 sm shake all for $27 and change plus tip... just like in that restaurant with a server that takes your order, brings it to you, checks that everything is as it should be and comes back to clean up the table when you are done! WTH makes Five Guys think they are on par with actual nice dining out geezzz if I would have gotten a large fry it would have been over $30 plus tip! read more

We stopped at the Five Guys on Socrum Loop in Lakeland. We ordered 2 "little" burgers, 1 "little" fry and 2 small drinks. This meal used to cost us under $17. Today it was $24. Unbelievable!!! The burgers were okay but the fries were soggy. The worst I've ever had. And not even that many either. And every table in the place was dirty. The floor was full of peanut shells. And the receipt said to go to www.fiveguys.com/survey, to let them know about our experience. But when I tried to go there, I got the message "whoops.....this page doesn't exist". Go figure! Excellent Five Guys! Went with my family and I had little cheeseburger. Great size and perfect for kids as well as adults! Their fries are the absolute best ever and this location has two Coke beverage machines that are super cool, you are able to choose from literally 10 different types of coke products! Quite a bit of improvement here since last review. Our burgers were fairly good size and HOT, fresh off the grill, made up and delivered right away instead of sitting around to cool off. Fries were equally good, nice fresh flavor. Buns are still somewhat mangled. Not sure of the reason for that. And the place is still noisy, what with obnoxious music and lots of scraping of metal chairs by the clean-up staff. But we'll be back again soon for the improved burgers. read more

Gotta say they did an outstanding job. My wife picked up food from that location on Saturday. They messed up our order but Taylor was knowledgeable about the mistake and told us to comeback and that in our next visit will be able to get our order re made and even got some free milk shakes which they were awesome. Virtually stumbled into this one after getting a coffee at S'bucks next door, damn Cheeseburger reminded me of the type that you can only seem to get at golf course 19th holes. Half pound of deliciousness, with whatever you wanted on it, 2 slices of All American cheese. Bloody good. Didn't try the fries, they always stick to your thighs. Excellent, upbeat staff as well. Yup, $7.99 a little pricey I guess, I estimate the ground beef to cost max $1.50, and the rest another .50 assuming bought in bulk. My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way home from the airport and were tired and hungry. It was after 9:00 PM so we figured they would be getting ready to close and not be happy to have late customers but we were pleasantly surprised at how friendly all the staff were. We were greeted by the guy sweeping the floor as we walked in. Matthew was our cashier and he also greeted us with a big smile and welcomed us. Our food was made fresh and hot to order and was delicious. As we left we were acknowledged again and told thank you for coming. Only reason for not giving 5 of 5 is price. That being said, you will not leave hungry or hating the food or service. I have never received bad service or less that perfect food. Awesome place. The only reason it "seems" slow is because you are getting fresh food that wasn't left under a heat lamp. That's their big secret, FRESH! read more
