Hi, I normally do not take the time to write reviews, but I really wanted to let the public know that before you spend your hard-earned money at this establishment Zaxby's on US 98) know that they their customer service is horrible. I wanted to offer a larger catering job, to this store and they were not very accommodating. The salesclerk was very rude, and the store manager was no better with his demeanor. You would think with so many restaurant chains having to shut down, customer service would be their no. 1 priority for this establishment! Two orders of fries no ketchup so now I was required to walk to the front counter to eat at this place. I was a restaurant Manager for 15 years and if your tables are not clean where the guest can see, one can only imagine how dirty the kitchen is where they know you cannot see! This Zaxby's has terrible customer service and now we wonder why there is 3 stars for this place. Zach and Kylie were absolutely disrespectful and rude. I was ordering and kept getting cut off by Zach when I wasn't even finished with my order. I got to the window and Kylie was helping me and I asked her if he had gotten my entire order because he kept cutting me off and she had a very bad attitude to me. Our food came and Sabrina. The manager came to the window didn't even apologize and we had requested to get all of our money back. She didn't even try to make it right or rectify the disrespectful, attitude, and rudeness of her workers. Sabrina also told me if I want to post a bad review or leave a survery that's fine and she didn't care! So you don't care about bad reviews as a manager? HAHA. We won't be coming to this Zaxbys ever. This is by far one of the worst experiences I've had with a fast food chain. This place is horrible from the food, service, management and ownership. In a nutshell, if I was Zaxby's I would revoke this owners (David) I'm told franchise agreement. I can tell by the way his staff, service and food that the owner isn't vested in his store or uphold what the franchise claims to be. I can confidently say that it would be highly unlikely that I would ever have this horrible of an experience with a Chick-fi-la or Cane's. Further, it's pretty evident that this is not a one off but a way in which no one cares about this store. I came from Walmart @ about 9pm and got a salad, rude drive thru person, unprofessional in the background of drive-thru. Got home salad (see pic) was served. I call and was supposed to get a manage and didn't but the lady relayed the message. I was told since they were closing and I was not driving back to come in tomorrow and I could get refund. I advised that I have my receipt as well as pictures of the food. Had my daughter go out of her way to go get the salad and was treated very rudely and told by the manager that their policy their owner (David's) policy is that you have to bring the receipt and food back to get a return! Really, lol! So I need to keep a already almost rotten salad over night, keep it in my car pn my two hour commute and keep it in my car all day....And you should already know when you made the salad that it shouldn't have been served, like what. Long story short my daughter paid cash for two more salads (out of hunger) and embarrassment that an establishment is this petty and should be ashamed to serve this food, treat people in this fashion and run an organization serving food that would impact peoples health. So to the owner who is only reachable through the Zaxby survey...your failing your people, your customers and Zaxby's brand. By the way, I was hung up on by the manager Ashley as she didn't care much about her managerial position, my concern or the restaurants brand. Sounds like bad ownership to me. Do better, you making all this money and out here representing yourself like this....smh. You can keep the $11.12 cause seems you need it more than me. I wish they would of toasted and buttered the toast. The drink flavoring in the machine needed changed. I got it in the drive thru and ended up just pouring it out when I realized up the road and was almost home. I asked for the cole slaw to be switched out for xtra fries, but it wasn't. Hi, we were really excited to come here. We ordered a free 5pc tender, some sauces, & an order of fried pickles with a large drink (Sweet tea) To start, the chicken had a very long hair in the batter, the sauce was good. Pickles were cold and both my wife and I ran to the bathroom about 10 minutes after our meal. My wife ended up vomiting in the bathroom for about 5 minutes and an employee overheard and was very nice enough to offer some water. I believe the chicken was just a bit undercooked which may have upset her stomach to make her projectile into the trashcan along with diarrhea. When asked to receive a refund, the manager gave it to us with no hesitation, but explained that "typically food poisoning will occur at least 12hrs after eating a contaminated meal" which I'm not exactly sure is true, I believe this can happen nearly immediately, or at least 30 minutes or so after the contaminated food is eaten. We were able to obtain a copy of the receipt as well just in case and will be going to the hospital. There was also a decent sized roach in the women's bathroom that crawled behind the mirror of the left stall walking in. The restaurant felt dirty and overwhelming with the amount of incoming customers. Overall it just was not a very pleasant experience for us and we will not be returning to this location in the future. P.s. If the owner or cleaners read this review, please check behind your bathroom mirrors and spray for roaches. I can't imagine what the kitchen may look like either. read more

A good normal visit I believe Zaxby's was listed on one of those highway restaurant signs along I-4 just before exits. We hopped off, I think exit 32, to get something to eat before heading on to Orlando. Although part of their neon sign was out it was still fairly easy to spot the restaurant. We pulled in. I decided on their Cajun Club meal. It was busy around the counter area but it all still went well, the order taker getting our order correct, the food was ready without much wait. I seldom visit Zaxby's, I don't think there are any close to home, so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but the visit seemed pretty normal for a fast food place. I liked my sandwich. It looked smaller and much sadder than the website photo but it turned out to have a large piece of chicken and tasted good. It wasn't until I was close to the end before I picked up any flavoring for the Cajun part. It was a nice break from driving, not very expensive, and didn't take too much of our time. read more

11/23/2022 Just moved to Florida a week ago and tried this place out. Chicken was great and there sauce was good too. So I went back again second time and got a 10 piece chicken meal. However, they don't have meals for the strips. They don't tell you that just like they don't tell you they split up the meal into 2 separate 5 pieces meals. By then doing that they charge you two separate times so by the end for 10 strips, fries and drink it's $25!! Outrageous if you tell me! I don't plan on stopping at this location any time soon. We stopped in for lunch on our way to Orlando one afternoon. I had stopped here before and was able to get in and out, even at peak. First, we attempted the drive thru. The line was literally wrapped around the building so we decided to run inside. They were so busy that there was literally no where to stand. There was a staff member cleaning the drink area while it was busy so that didn't help the chaos. We were able to order. This was the only pleasant exchange throughout the entire experience. The girl was quick to take our order, give us our drink cups and move on to the next person in line. I was hopeful that we would get in and out at this point. We waited for the food for 15 minutes which wasn't an issue because I knew they were busy. A few people who ordered after us got their food first but I was trying to be patient given the circumstances. Finally, our number was called and I was handed the food. I attempted to verify with the woman handing out food that the sauces were in fact in the bag as it was a to go order. Her response was that I could buy sauce for $0.25 each or could trade out what was in the bag. She then turned around and never gave us the time to respond. After standing there for a minute I tried to get her attention and she looked at me and then turned around again to prep other orders. I decided to walk out to my car and leave. When I got to my car to look at the sauces and set myself and the driver to eat, I noticed there was no sauce in the bag. I quickly went back in and got the woman's attention and annoyingly she handed me the sauces I was supposed to get and said they should have been in the bag but she would make an exception. Mind you, I took the whole bag back in to show her so being accused of lying wasn't the best feeling. I really wished I would have skipped the entire experience. I've always enjoyed Zaxby's but this was a nightmare. To top it all off, the food was cold like it had been sitting for a while. I just expected more. Very disappointed. I bought the TLC Chicken "filet" sandwich for my husband. When he tried to eat it it was really...really hard to bite into. The size was laughable too! When I called the restaurant and spoke to the GM he said that I should bring the sandwich back and they will remake the sandwich. My husband was hungry so I just threw a hamburger on the stove. Kind of silly that I should have to bring a piece of dried out chicken back to the restaurant so I figured I would just put a picture on here so he can see it. I get to the cashier and specifically asked for bbq sauce and the zaxbys sauce. When she hands me my order, I asked her again about the sauces and she assured me they're inside. So we get home and the fries were good, the chicken fingers themselves were very small for the price. They are bland tasting and very salty... the zaxbys sauce is just as bland. I worked for this location and have never been paid. I have called repeatedly about my pay check. Each time I get the run around, and I still have not received my check. Even though they keep telling me it's in the mail. It's been almost a year. They did however send me tax forms for me to pay taxes on my wages. Even though I haven't received my check. I do not recommend working there, and I don't recommend eating there. I sure wish Zaxby's would make it's way up to Wisco!! I first discovered Zaxby's while driving through Georgia. Ever since then I have been craving it, but they don't exist where I live! :( On my most recent trip to Florida I knew I had to make sure to stop at one. This is the one we wound up at! Although the building looks to be older, the service was great and the food was terrific. Just as I remembered it! The garlic toast is super yummy. The fries are crispy and taste great. The chicken is the best part, obviously. The breading is so good! I am not a big fan of the Zaxby's sauce, but that's not the star of the show. The chicken is perfect on it's own! read more

The Zensation Asian salad is the bomb. They need to have it year round. I have it at least once per week, when it's on their menu.

Nothing will ever beat zaxbys chicken. I highly recommend the kickin chicken sandwich or the hot wings because those are the real wings right there. You will be amazed and you will mentally ascend into heaven for 20 minutes after the ingestion. Good luck my folks if you try the insane wings. I went inside to place my to go order. I waited and waited at the pickup counter as others were in and out. I finally asked the girl pulling the orders from the kitchen where my order was. She said she had called it already which I hadn't heard standing right there. She treated like I was trying to scam her. The older cashier who rang me up knew I was there all the time and told her I needed my order. I even gave her my receipt. Reluctantly, she asked the kitchen to remake my order. I wasn't expecting much since you look at the menu behind the cashier to decide on an order. I got the chicken fingers and a small beverage. She asked if I wanted the Coke slaw that comes with the meal. I guessed I should. She gave me a cup for the drink and pointed to the machine in back of me. I asked what they had in sugar-free and she said there were over 100 drinks to choose from. I didn't count to confirm but you push a button, and then another and another. I got root beer. My first in years. It was good. She soon called #7 and I went up to get it. The chix fingers were real chicken (vs: the kind with ground meat formed into a "finger") & with good flavor. Fries were so-so but the Cole slaw that she asked if I wanted was very good. So if you want a cheap, fast meal that is pretty much self-serve, stop at Zaxby's because the food is good. read more
