Food is still definitely fresh. The chicken was kind of greasy though. Everything was good. I still prefer the chicken to be crispier personally. My husband got the spicy tenders and I got regular crispy ones to share with my daughter. The fries are tasty and the macaroni and cheese is super cheesy and delicious. Service is fine, it was late and there weren't a ton of people seated to eat. They have kiosks to order from and no one was at the front counter so we did that. We asked someone to wipe the table down since it was greasy and had crumbs and he came out quickly to clean it for us. The food took a little bit of time, but like I mentioned before - it was all fresh. It was quiet and the ambiance was fine for us. Not much noise so we could all hang out and talk. read more

Today my son and I came in for lunch. We ordered and paid for our food at the kiosk. We both ordered spicy chicken meals, however when our orders arrived there were no fries, just sandwiches and our drinks. I asked one of the employees if this meant that meals do not include fries and he didn't seem to know. Anyhow, I had to pay seven dollars and change extra for 2 fries that should have been included in the price of the meals or some note that meals only include the sandwich and a drink. Since every other restaurant include fries or a side with their meals. read more

PDQ Chicken - The kiosk's presentation of the spicy chicken sandwich "meal" which apparently doesn't include fries or any side just a drink. - Fast Food Near Me - Lakeland, Florida

Food is great but when you go through the drive through make sure to check your food before leaving because I got home and opened my bag to a missing large fry. I usually check but they had sealed my bag with tape this time because I tried order ahead on the app so you would think they would remember to put the fries in the bag before taping it sealed...nope I paid 29.94 all I left with was a sandwich, some tenders and a milkshake. Too expensive to forget the fries:( read more

They weren't delivering quality today. I love PDQ and they always have great food. I was finally able to convince my fiancé to go when we had her niece and nephew. We decided to eat in since we had them and wanted to have hot food instead of cold when we got home. Only one person could manage the register and 2 people just walked by us as we waited. The girl at the register was polite though and patient with the kids. Upon getting the food most of it was cold. 2 of my tenders were room temperature, luckily the other 2 were hot. Not sure what was going on there. My fiancés mac was cold, less than room temperature. Her nieces chicken sandwich was also cold. Her nephew had no complaints. Not sure what was going on today, but I know I'll only be coming back when my fiancé isn't with me because she won't be interested in giving it another chance since her first was poor. read more

Every PDQ I've been to has been the same in regards to quality. The food is always excellent, the employees polite and efficient and the restaurant clean and neat. This particular PDQ did not disappoint. My husband and I opted for bowls this time, instead of our usual sandwich choices. He had the Thai Peanut and I had the Grilled Chicken Cali Bowl. Both were quick to be served and were hot and fresh. He enjoyed his but I think mine was the best. Everything was seasoned just right. I love their freshly made sauces and the ranch was perfect on my bowl. I cannot wait to go back! read more

Alert: new residents move into Flop City :( so sad to see this PDQ go downhill - fries used to be so crispy and well seasoned, you got everything you asked for at the window, and it was trustworthy to always be good!! now... fries flop so hard I feel like I need to ask for them extra crispy and get a side of whatever seasoning they can find, I've been missing something from both of my latest orders (bread and sauce... SAUCE) the service is always kind and quick but we gotta get back to the good reliable food read more

we always go to PD cues and this one time that I'm leaving PD cues. They literally don't put the lid on the honey mustard and they didn't give us any napkins so that we could clean up the mess. I'm not sure why PD cues is not providing customers with napkins, but I think that's a really inexpensive way to keep customers happy and clean. And if you guys do provide napkins with each meal, the drive-through person is not providing them for the customers that come through .. I also tried to call the store to communicate with them about this issue but instead you get a representative or a leave a message on the answer machine.. Get your shit together read more

When PDQ first came to Lakeland, I thought they had excellent food. That was quite a few years ago. We had lunch there today and were very disappointed in the food. They weren't busy at all. The buns were cold and the chicken was barely warm. The seasoning was way too salty. And the zucchini fries were awful, soggy and tasteless. The fountain drink was good though. I hate to write a review like this but it has to be said. Maybe they can turn things around. But we will give them plenty of time before we try again. read more

Diverse selection for the menu, specializing, mostly and chicken. The staff is friendly and polite.. The decor would best be described as classic diner. The venue is always clean and a diverse selection of beverages. read more

I got the zucchini fries and chicken tenders. The zucchini fries were nothing but grease and soggy. And so much salt couldn't eat them. The chicken tenders were also so salty. The raccoons enjoyed them as no human could have eaten any of it. Will not be back. It you like salty and greasy food then this is for you. read more

Recommended. Stopped in July 1, 2021 about 1pm, to order takeaway. I got the featured sandwich, a Four Rivers BBQ themed sandwich. I have eaten here a few times and liked the salads offered, also chicken fingers. The sandwich was the best fried chicken sandwich I've had to date, anywhere. It's much better than McD's & Chick-fil-a. It had a nice crunch and the sauce was superb. The guacamole was a nice touch, as was the red cabbage. The spicy pepper jack added a little heat, although it could have been the sauce contributing to the nice spiciness of the sandwich. The sandwich comes nestled in a ready-to-bite manner with wax paper, tucked in a cardboard box. It all held together as I walked back to work. If I made it at home, I'd add more red cabbage to hold the sandwich together, because it's a little on the slippery side. I tried tater tots for a nominal upcharge, instead of the included waffle fries, and I tried the buffalo bleu sauce. The tater tots were a little too crumbly for dipping, so I dumped the sauce on top and that worked out well. It's got a little spice and bits of bleu cheese bobbing in the sauce. It's a really good sauce, and probably would have been good with chicken fingers or on a sandwich. The drinks machine is one of those Coca-Cola mixers with like a zillion flavors, lots of fun. read more

Chicken is good. Wide selection of sauces. Came at lunchtime rush and they cleared this place out quick. Would recommend. 5/5.

Hang in there!! The wait was longer than usual but many restaurants are feeling this staff shortage, but they handled an extreme rush very well. I counted, 2 people on expo, 2 cooks, one prep, one drive thru, one lobby person taking orders. Line was backed up to the door, and drive thru was wrapped around the building! The Manager on duty was calm, she coached her young staff on how to navigate the rush and continually communicated, and encourage them! I was impressed! The food took about 35 minutes, but the order was correct, fries were hot, and tenders and sandwich were cooked to perfection! read more

I use to love pow but it's on the other side of town so it's been a while. Their fries have changed to waffle and they aren't as good, their sauces are in a container half the size it use to be and the frie serving was really small compared to other comparable places. And our tenders were a bit over cooked. They aren't nearly as friendly either. My husband ordered tater tots (at an up charge) they gave him fries instead I let the lady know who brought our food too us. She quickly said sorry about that and turned around and walked away. When she came back she had a whole new order instead of just fries then took my husbands food while he was eating one of his tenders!!! And gave him the new thing and just walked away!!!! This place use to be so friendly and their food was amazing. I'm so disappointed. read more

PDQ Chicken - Such a small portion of tater tots - Fast Food Near Me - Lakeland, Florida

If you've got a PDQ anywhere near you, do yourself a favor and go eat there. My dad lives in Lakeland Florida and every time I visit him I make it a point and a mission to hit up this PDQ at least once before leaving. They specialize in chicken tenders and they have some of the freshest and best tasting tenders you'll eat anywhere and the way they implement the tenders into other meals is absolutely fantastic. I typically get the Buffy Bleu which has two tenders covered in buffalo sauce essentially topped with lettuce and bread, (yes it's a sandwich). It's one of the best chicken sandwiches you'll have anywhere. I hope, absolutely hope, that one day a PDQ makes it somewhere near louisville ky, I'd drive a good ways to make it to one. Every experience I've had at this location has been great. Keep it up and don't lose the charm. And if you guys are reading this, once again, louisville would be a great location for a PDQ. We LOVE chicken in Kentucky. read more

PDQ stands for "Please Don't Quit", seeing that the whole place is doomed. It's ran by the Kids Next Door, the food taste like microwave dinners, and the prices are outrageous. PDQ has fantastic service and speed. The chicken does taste very fresh. However it is not my favorite chicken on the planet. The French fries are alright but need dipping sauce. The restaurant always appears very clean and well taken care of. I appreciate that they offer discounts to teachers when they show an ID. I wish they had more options for sides such as mashed potatoes. The tater tots are alright. PDQ can stand on its own two feet. It's a place where you either love the type of chicken or you don't. The service and overall quality is excellent. I tend to be very particular when it comes to chicken. Everybody I know who's been to PDQ LOVES it. I would at least give it a try. read more

Great customer service and decent food. Not great but definitely good. Best thing I ate was a oatmeal cranberry cookie! Very good

Never had it, so we thought we'd give it a shot! And you know what? We liked it! It's pretty loud and busy but the food is tasty, folks are nice, and the prices are decent. They've got drive thru, if you're in a time crunch and loads of seating inside of you want to sit for a spell. I had the grilled chicken salad ( the spinach, craisins, almonds one) and it was delightful. The hubs had the strips and fries... He couldn't complain. What more can be said? PDQ is a favorite of mine. Whenever I am visiting/in a city that has one, I seek it out like no tomorrow. Their salads are fresh and delicious. The chicken is cooked perfectly whether it is grilled or fried. The Lakeland location is no different. It is a bit farther south than I expected from I4 but still tolerable. Will look to return! read more

I'm not sure what's going on here but I've been here 4 times in the last week and each time the waits have been RIDICULOUS! It's pretty clear that they are understaffed, but the staff that is there doesn't seem to really care about the long wait. I love the chicken strips but I think I will just settle for Chick-fil-A from now on. read more

I'm pretty shocked that this place doesn't have close to a 5 star rating. The service is crazy fast The restaurant is clean and bright, lots of natural light The kitchen is wide open so you can see everything There's a hand washing station in the corner of the dining room Bathrooms are very clean And the food is amazing! The chicken tenders are well seasoned and the homemade dipping sauces are on point! I usually pair my strips with the Buffalo Bleu sauce, my husband prefers the sweet & spicy sauce. The fries are shoestring cut and you can tell that they're just potatoes + salt, no additives. Anyways, I love this place and it's perfect for family lunch/dinner time! read more

It's a very nice and clean restaurant. The food is "good". The portion sizing is my biggest issue. Spent $10 and could've ate double or more. The unsweetened iced tea was fantastic. PDQ Chicken - Chicken fingers!!! - Fast Food Near Me - Lakeland, Florida

They have the absolute best ranch dressing for their salads that I believe I have ever tasted. The chicken nuggets are pretty good, they are rather greasy at times but full of flavor. I think a few extra minutes in the fryer would probably help. The french fries are truly hit or miss. Sometimes they are just god awful and are super greasy with no flavor or they are crispy, fried to perfection insulted just perfectly. The grilled chicken sandwich is amazing. It blows Chick-fil-A out of the water. Hands-down. The milkshakes are absolutely amazing. Total ecstasy for your mouth. The Oreo milkshake is the best! And of course the blueberry coleslaw. How could I forget about that? Always crispy, very flavorful and a excellent substitute for the most of the time soggy french fries. They use Joffreys tea. They have the best sweet tea in town. Somebody here actually knows how to make it right! Perfectly sweetened and you can still taste the tea without being overpowered by sugar. Most places make sweet tea that all you can taste is the sugar and not the team. Their tea is absolute perfection. Five stars because most all of the food is excellent except for the fries -- coleslaw makes up for that as well as the milkshakes Updated 08/2018 The prices went wayyyy up and the portion sizes have been reduced by ay least 25%. The food is good but is extremely overpriced for what you get. You're better off going to chick fil a. They are priced the same but the portion sizes are much larger. Bad move PDQ..... read more

We love the food at PDQ, but this location almost ALWAYS gets our order wrong in the drive-thru. Today, no fries. And it is SO frustrating, because there is nothing to be done about it. We aren't going back for our fries once we get home. read more

I was a little disappointed in my visit here. I had been there during their grand opening and the food was fresh and delicious. This time the quality seemed to be a little less, service was less memorable and my overall experience was underwhelming over all. The chicken is tasty and the salads are definitely enough for a meal. read more

They changed their chicken completely and it was horrible. used to love PDQ so much it was so sad. The chicken had zero flavor and the breading just fell off the chicken as you're trying to eat it. It's no wonder this Chick-fil-A is the busiest one I have ever been to. The staff is amazing. Especially Malcolm, the owner son. They greet me by my first name and they are so accommodating with all of my picky request. Love the ENTIRE STAFF!!!! It gets very busy, but they have enough staff to accommodate all three lanes when they're open. The only thing I would say I'm sad about is they took away the fried chicken tenders as they were my favorite. If you haven't tried their brownies, they are to die for. The shakes are amazing! But my favorite is the chicken noodle soup. It's very hearty and the flavor is amazing. I would say if you're on a lunch break, go through the drive-through or call ahead curbside read more
