I stopped by 5 Guys in Hyannis last Sunday expecting a quick bite, but what I got instead was something way more meaningful--and worth the extra time. While I was waiting to order, there was a dad ahead of me with his 2 young sons. The dad was clearly concerned because his youngest son has a severe dairy allergy, and he wanted to make absolutely sure his little guy could safely enjoy a burger. It took about 20 minutes for them to go through all the questions and get the reassurance they needed, and I have to say: the staff handled it with so much patience and professionalism. They didn't rush him, didn't get frustrated--they just listened, the cashier double-checked ingredients with the grill staff, and made sure everything was safe. That level of care says a lot about the place. I'd honestly rather wait a little longer and know a kid is safe and a dad can breathe easy. And when it was finally my turn, the staff were just as friendly and helpful with me. The food was delicious, the place was clean, and the vibe was chill. I was running errands and getting ready for the holidays and I stopped to get a burger at five guys they never let you down. They're always good. I got a little cheeseburger with cooked mushrooms, and it was delicious as always it was quiet in there. People were really nice and the food is always good. I love five guys thanks guys. read more

You folks know I'm fair. I want to see businesses succeed. What's sad is, I'd choose McDonald's over a place that boasts cooked fresh; the best fries etc.. At least at McDonald's, you expect substandard fast food . Where are the owners of Five Guys? Where are the caring managers? Where are the friendly greetings? Where is the cooked fresh food made with care? A Saturday afternoon at the beginning of April vacation brought this Dad to his 11 year old's soccer practice. Afterwards, for a treat, he wanted McDonald's, and I preferred to step it up, as far as burger joints, and try Five Guys at the Cape Cod Mall. April 13, 2024, at about 12:30 or so (LUNCH TIME), we walk in this place and there was ONE customer sitting at a table. 5 employees behind the counter/grill area. All looked at us and just stared. No "hello, welcome to Five Guys!" NOTHING. Both should have been a hint to a seasoned restaurateur. We made our way to the register/ordering spot. The girl literally just looked at us, for an awkward 10 seconds, until finally, I broke, and said excitedly: "Hi! How's your day going?!". Nothing. Then I asked if this is where we order she nodded her head. The other four employees just remained still, staring at us. Uncomfortable to say the least. My 11 year son asked politely what he's able to put on a burger she pointed up in silence. We ordered two burgers, fries, one milkshake. No thank you; no have a great day; no words. We finally received our bag (pictured herewith) it was a dripping pile of grease/oil. I asked the employee who handed it to me if I could please get a second bag to put this one in. He looked at me as if I asked him to hand me his soul, as he hesitantly flung one at me. We then checked our order. Would it surprise you to know Miss Silence at the front put our order in wrong? This was ultimately my son's cheeseburger. Quite an unhappy meal. Not sure what the heck is going on with these places. Great theme; fun idea, then you put one at the Cape Cod Mall, fill it with people (because of the "post COVID work shortage") that don't really want to be there, couldn't give two dungs about quality, customer service, and because they're so accustomed to subpar service, when you walk in, they wish you didn't, and it shows. Gone are the days of "please come back and see us again!", and here are the days of "damn it, they're coming in here!" Well Five Guys, you have your wish. Unless Jon Taffer revamps your entire customer service and quality assurance, I won't be back; nor will my family, friends, associates. read more

Truly this place has just really gone downhill at a high price. We were in for lunch and amazingly the burgers tasted like they had been frozen!?! Fries were good as they always have been with Five Guys, but boy the prices are just getting out of sight. The fact that they present the regular hamburger as a junior seems a little like they're doing it to make people NOT order the single patty burger without knowing. Excellent customer service, and excellent food! I ordered the bacon cheese burger with a milkshake. There are plenty of toppings to choose from on your burger, including grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. it was raining today so pretty busy as expected, but the place looked spotless and they had an employee constantly cleaning over the counter! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. $13 for a fast food burger and shake? The shake I understand why it's $5 cause it's truly out of this world but the burger, although delicious, is just slightly above Wendy's. I could dine at Wendy's for nearly the same outcome and a way cheaper price. read more

A nice break from shopping to refuel for more shopping at the CapeCod Mall. The service is great, it's fast and delicious. My favorite is the bun less double cheeseburger with A-1 sauce, sautéed onions and mushrooms, tomatoes and fresh jalapeños wrapped in lettuce. Best burgers on The Cape. Milkshakes are great too. Whole peanuts in the shell for you while you wait for your burger. Any kind of soda you could ask for from their futuristic soda machine. The only thing negative is I really don't like the fries, I don't like skin on my fries, but that's just me. Didn't like the Cajun fries either, for the same reason. All in all, I like Five Guys, try them for yourselves. One thing I'd like to mention, don't bring your vegetarian friends. My daughter is vegetarian, we went because we knew they had vegetarian options. She was expecting a veggie burger, she got lettuce, tomatoes green peppers, chopped up. Five Guys Burgers is, without a doubt, the single most effective medicine for a migraine you can get without a prescription. While stuck at home in the throws of a crippling migraine, (we're talking a head splitting, stomach churning, just kill me now Sweet Jesus migraine), my wife texted me to see if I needed anything from the mall. The mall you ask? Yeah - get me a big 'ol Five Guys double bacon cheese burger with a huge order of fries. She walks in he door and the smell, which normally makes me melt with anticipation, makes me queasy. Queasy at the smell of a bag full of Five Guys? I know - right? Well, anyway ... I open up the bag, look at the burger and just say to myself, "Son - you're day is about to get a whole lot better." I bit into that burger and my taste buds kicked my pain receptors square in the nuts and said, "go to hell - we're taking over." With each bite I took of that two pattied stack of love, a wave of wonderfulness started to push back the wall of pain that's taken up residence in my head. By the time I was done with the burger and had annihilated the huge order of fries, my migraine was gone. I don't know why it works, nor do I know how. And I could really care less. The bottom line is that Five Guys Burgers is so damn good, the FDA should require a prescription with unlimited refills and dosage instructions that say, "take one at the onset of symptoms and repeat as necessary." After all the hype we thought it might be worth a go mid week in the early evening. We ordered 1 small & 1 regular bacon cheeseburger, one with cooked onions, a malt, bottled water and fries. $28 The place was fairly clean, although I am still put off by the food backup stock in the inside mall entrance (a hallway) and in the dining area. Malt was OK from soft serve, fries were spilled all over the paper bag bottom and a generous cup of fries on top. Burger missing onions, both burgers were OK but nothing wow (meat or toppings). The double bacon cheese burger was amazing. All the toppings are free so you can get as many as you want. They also pile the fresh cut fries in the bag. The only downfall is it is a tad more expensive than other "fast food" joints and it is hard to get a seat as they are always packed. read more

I know I've already done a review of Five Guys in Wareham, but my experience here was a little different, so here we go. I went to this Five Guys location shortly after they opened at the Cape Cod Mall. I ordered my usual: Little Bacon Burger, with hot sauce and pickles, and Little Fries. It was pretty much the same as my meal in Wareham, BUT, when I received my burger, the bacon was under cooked, almost to the point of being raw.(Which is unusual, since Five Guys is known to have perfectly crispy bacon). Since I was in a hurry, I didn't mention it to anyone right then, and just threw the bacon away. However, I did take the survey on the receipt, where I mentioned the bacon issue. Almost immediately, I was contacted by the manager of the restaurant, who apologized for the bacon thing and offered to, not only replace the burger, but to buy me an entire meal: Little Bacon Burger, Little Fries, and a regular soda, next time I was in the area. The following week, I took him up on the offer, and this time, everything was great. They may have screwed up the first time, but they owned up to it, and made it right. Not only do they make great food and their staff is friendly, I left my wallet there about a month ago and one of their employees took the time to track me down on Facebook to let me know they had it! This is the future of fast food, or should I say a return to the way it should be! I tried double bacon cheeseburger witch was good but they hit a home run with then single bacon cheeseburger with all the toppings. All toppings are included in the price so you might as well get em all! The kosher all beef hotdog was very good only wish the raw onions I asked for on it were more of a dice or chopped. They were quite big so they overpowered the flavor. Fries were fresh cut but weren't fried twice so they were not crispy... Get a milkshake it will bring you back to childhood! read more
