And the owner/chef takes pride in his work and was genuinely happy when we were happy. This is a fabulous little gem on the rail trail at the top of Underpass Rd. Most of their sandwiches have a gluten-free roll available for an extra two dollars. If you have a severe gluten allergy/ celiac disease, I probably would not risk most of the menu items. Thankfully, we were also able to order a rice bowl with plain swordfish and had no allergy related side effects afterwards. The kids menu is also great for options for littles while dining here. It came with diced tomatoes and banana pepper rings which added a nice freshness and a little kick. For mains, the baked cod was excellent. The panko crust was crispy, the fish was fresh, and it came with well seasoned mashed potatoes and vegetables. The Fisherman's Platter was also fantastic. It came with fried cod, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, and two sides. I picked buttered rice and mashed potatoes, both of which were really good. Everything was fried perfectly and it also came with tartar sauce and a spicy sauce. It's a huge portion, so I'd recommend sharing it with another person. The kids fish and chips were good. The kids mac and cheese was the biggest disappointment. It tasted like Kraft or something very similar and felt severely overpriced for what it was. Someone else ordered the Crunchy Fish Sandwich which looked really good, although I didn't get to try it. For drinks I had the Citrus Mule and didn't really care for it.
