They have always* struggled with CONSISTENCY issues ever since they started (I've had raw chicken multiple times from them, now it's all burnt/dry), but it's more and more apparent recently. The meats are not only overcooked and EXTREMELY DRY, but the burnt exterior is a genuine *carcinogenic* (fact-check me) issue that leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth that is worse than sand IMO. The gyro meat is more grainy and un-chewable lately. The chicken is overcooked and dry as heck. The rice is undercooked and almost hard. The salads are less fresh, and I notice a distinct difference in the olives lately (more bitter and mushy, YUCK- I love good Kalamata olives, but NO thank you). I genuinely write this in a probably naive attempt to warn Kabobs that they are cutting too many corners that will probably, eventually, bite them. I would be very sad if that happened. I used to love Just Kabobs-- I've had great gyro and chicken and salad, etc, so I KNOW FROM THE PAST that they can do better. The main problem now* is that they are SUPER busy and they probably don't care about quality control because the money is rolling in, but I hope they will reverse course and get better quality ASAP. (PS; at their peak they are capable of 5/5 stars.-- I just feel that the quality has significantly* declined lately and it's sad to see, and waste money on. I believe* they are using smaller pizzas on Thursday to make up for the smaller 'sales' price, which would be underhanded and misleading. I picked up my pizza, opened the box and immediately noticed a smaller than usual pizza size..... maybe 1-2 cm smaller. I believe it should be the same size no matter what day, deal, coupon, etc. IMO. Can Buona or anyone else explain to me how this *isn't false advertising, similar to Subway footlong BS, Walmart Black Friday deals, etc? It just shows dishonesty and lack of decency towards the customers which makes me think hard about going back. I smell a class-action lawsuit if the right people (not me personally) get ahold of this information. Please do better Buona, because I know you can. While we waited, we saw their video which shows the various levels of "moisture" you can have for your sandwich, which was very helpful. A regular sandwich is 6" and a large is 9" - we both went with the regular with hot Giardiniera peppers. My wife chose hers with the "easy gravy" option, while I went "The Chicago Way" with the ends dipped. The sandwiches came out fresh and hot. The beef was nicely done, well cut (no gristle) and melted in your mouth. The Hot Giardiniera was HOT as advertised (which is why I ordered a small fry to help soften that later. I wrapped up with a fudge brownie which I shared with my wife. The staff was attentive, and took care of us. Very nice place, good service, great beef!

Although I felt like it was my fault for not double-checking, I still don't think a tiny container of sauce is a fair drink substitute... oh well. Another thing to note is that online when placing an order/viewing the menu, it says the combo comes with a 20oz bottle of soda even though they only had 12oz cans in stock. I think these discrepancies could easily be fixed, and might prevent some confusion/disappointment among future customers. I appreciate that they gave me two extra wings because the boneless are somewhat tiny. For my sauce on the wings, I chose to try the Buldak-Gochujang and it was a little sweet with a hint of spice. The plain fries were just okay. They offer a bunch of different topping options for the fries, which I might be interested in trying next time.
