Kind of a different style of hotdog, it is split lengthwise and grilled on both sides. I kind of like the fact that it's charred a little bit gives it a better taste. For a burger place, I personally find Five Guys to be overpriced for the servings that they provide. Sure, they give you enough food to satisfy your hunger, but is a burger from a fast-food place really worth seven or more dollars? Often times, their burgers are dripping with grease, and I don't feel great after eating them. However, I am a fan of their fries; they're thickly cut and seasoned with cajun. Personally, I always order the cajun fries and get extra seasoning on the side; they're regular fries are good, but nothing compared to the seasoned version. With a large order, that estimates about $6, they give you a large soda cup full of fries, but also an extra scoop or two of fries in a brown paper bag. Through the years, I have seen their generosity decrease, but it's still enough to feed two to three people. Regarding its interior, the restaurant is typically clean, but not spotless. There is a lot of seating inside, and sometimes the employees don't get to cleaning every table. Since they offer complimentary peanuts, there are some peanut shells here and there, but not a big deal in my opinion. The service is relatively good; the employees are helpful and knowledgeable, but you will have to wait a decent time for your food. Although I would visit this Five Guys again, I think there are better options for if you're craving burgers and fries for a similar, or smaller, price. read more

Stopped here with my boyfriend before heading up to St. Pete Beach. Guy who took our order was super friendly and was wearing a sweet mask with a skeleton smile on it, so I told him that I liked his smile. He laughed and told me he liked mine. This is a unique place. Burgers is what they do, and literally nothing else, except for fries. You can also get hot dogs. I had a cheeseburger. The toppings are no extra charge. Was it the best I've ever had? Well, maybe not, but it was darn good! The price was reasonable at $5.61, which includes tax. You order, then they call your number when it's ready and hand it to you in a paper bag. Inside it is wrapped in tinfoil. Ambiance is fast-foody, but pleasant. Price is the same as all the other locations so no surprises here. Kids working here are friendly enough. Place was clean. No peanut shells laying around but I did have some of those crispy morsels myself. Always fresh and crunchy. I Should have take some out with me when I left. :) Never a bad choice! Man, has this place gone downhill... I first ate here two years ago, the place was packed and the food & service were both 5 star. This time was different. Arriving at 1 pm, I immediately noticed the place was only 30% occupied. Strange, but no lines are a good thing, right? The cashier was friendly and helped me make sense of the photo-less, vague menu. After placing my order, I took a seat near the pick-up area. The layout of five Guys is open concept. From the dinning area you can see the entire kitchen/grill and employees as they prepare the food. Looking around I saw a sign that instructs customers to call the manager (A Tampa based phone number) if they have a problem. Suddenly, I heard a woman (Who works behind the stacked drink lids) scream an insult at a customer! At that moment, I though they must have had an argument before I arrived. After observing the kitchen area more closely, I learned otherwise. Two of the employees (A man and the aforementioned woman) have a game they like to play. They each take turns screaming insults at departing customers, ratcheting up the volume and vulgarity in an effort to out-do each other. Watching this fiasco, as I ate my $13 cheeseburger, I remember thinking: I would be embarrassed to serve this burger at a BBQ, never mind charging customers top dollar for it. To duplicate this burger, one would only need to buy a quarter pound of Sam's Club's lowest grade ground beef, form it into a hockey puck (No need for seasoning) and grill it to a gray colored perfection. To be fair, the fries were great! On the way out the door, I received my insult from the woman: "Number 16 is GAY!". 16 being the pick-up number assigned to my order. At the very least, these two are developmentally challenged. At worst, moles working for your competitors! If you are going to hire ignorant people to work for you, don't try to manage them from Tampa. Good luck with this hot mess, I'm out. read more

Walking in the door, you're greeted by the friendly cooks. Then you place an order (small burger = 1 patty, regular = 2); I got a bacon cheese burger. Your burger can have any of the sides they offer -- fresh cut onions, peppers, mushrooms, and so much more. While you're waiting for your fresh burger (and Cajun fries!) you can help yourself to the roasted peanuts. This company or particular store is the worst run in the entire chain! I just ordered Uber eats bag was sealed, I open my hamburger start eating a bite into a piece of glass. I don't even care about a refund and I was not injured badly, I called the store to ask for the manager I was informed that he's too busy to talk? I inform them that I just bit into a piece of glass and you might want to make sure that you're not putting out any more contaminated food. The manager was extremely rude would not give me his name this is unacceptable behavior. I almost believe that they could be maliciously placed in my food. Because this guy did not like his job! I will never eat at this five guys ever again! Overall the chain is incredible and consistent and I've been a loyal customer for a long time. Things happen it's how you handle them and correct them and I am very disappointed. So much that I called Tallahassee who regulates restaurants filed a complaint with code enforcement. Both my wife and I agreed that this is the best "fast food" burger we have every eaten. The question we get from those that know is "better than In-N-Out? I would love the chance to do them side by side but geographically that's never going to happen. I would have to say 5 guys is better. You have 15 different toppings that can be added at no additional cost. the grilled onions and grilled mushrooms were perfect. They also didn't kill the burger by putting too much of any of the toppings on the star of the show. The wait was a bit long (busy hour), the menu is very simple to navigate through and keep in mind you order everything separately. For a drink, fries and burger you'll pay atleast $8-$10 per person (a little pricey I thought). The food really does taste like an outdoor bar-b-q. Very fresh and crisp.. full of flavor. I did notice alot of oil fat dripping off my burger though (I had a bacon burger). The facility is very clean and illuminated. I will go there again for sure... this time not alone :D read more

Had lunch today here, at the 5 Guys at Village Shoppes at Healthpark, which is this new-looking (cashier told me they've been open a year) quite empty Strip mall on the corner of Summerlin and Bass Road. (16230 Summerlin Road, Suite 201, to be exact.) Red & White colors (just like In & Out uses), and as decoration, they use 50 lbs. bags of Idaho Potatoes (not frozen, but raw), 35 lbs. containers of Peanut Oil, and 25 lbs. boxes of salted Peanuts. As your burger is cooked to order, takes about 10 or so minutes, you can munch on free peanuts. Had the regular Burger, which actually consists of TWO patties, and "ALL THE WAY" style, which is: Mayo, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Ketchup and Mustard. It comes wrapped in Aluminum Foil, and a plain brown paper bag which shows off grease stains pretty good! It was TASTY, and I suspect it's the quality of the beef used, along with the fteshness. I would say it's just as good, if not better, for those of us who have experienced the "In & Out" urge! Next door is a "Rudino's Pizza & Grinders" and a sign outside encourages 5 Guys Patrons to bring in their burgers and enjoy them with Beers, or Pizza or Salads. Smart idea! If you can beat `em, join `em! LOL! If you're looking for a quality burger, you can't go wrong here. As I have written before, I am not a huge fan of chains, but with all the positive praise this place receives from around the country I thought it was sure to be great. I tried out 5 guys for lunch a few weeks ago. I give them positive praise for their speed, polite service, and cleanliness. Where they lost points---the cheeseburger. I ordered it as it comes and made no adaptations. The grilled onions and mushrooms that come standard were a nice treat, but overall I thought the burger was lackluster and pricey. For the small cheeseburger and a small drink it cost me 6 and change. I suppose I should have ordered fries, since they hand-cut the potatoes there unlike other burger chains. Stupid me trying to watch calories. I was so unimpressed with the burger that I will not be back to try the fries. read more
