I hadn't been to Five Guys in a while, but I saw one and got an instant craving for a burger. They did not disappoint. I ordered a hamburger and a "little" fries, which, as usual at Five Guys, was still more than enough. I ended up eating the food in the car and loved every bite. Service was good I got there when they first openned. The burger was exactly what I wanted: a little sloppy, in the best way, with real, quality meat and plenty of flavor. The fries were hot and plentiful. They delivered exactly what I was hoping for when I pulled in. This visit gets a full 5 stars from me. read more

FORTY DOLLARS, for 2 tiny, messy, crushed, sloppily slapped together burgers, and a dixie cup of the tiniest, saltiest, burnt french fry ENDS imaginable. A large fries here is EIGHT. DOLLARS. I spent EIGHT. DOLLARS. for a cup of potato butts that were fried within an inch of their life, and then bathed in salt, before being thrown upside down into a bag. I have been a fan of Five Guys since their humble DC Metro days. I remember when it was like TWO locations in Virginia, and we would take the drive to get the best fast food burger there was. When they shouted "2 in the door!," when you walked in, and you snacked on peanuts while reading where todays potatoes were from. Even though most of that still happens, it no longer feels like part of the charm, it feels like a CHORE. Back then, they CRAFTED your burger, because they wanted you to have the best burger of your life. They told you about where the fries came from, because they took pride in knowing that YOU know they care enough to know their damn potatoes lineage. Now, it's just page 3 of the employee handbook: "Write a city name on the board...who cares." It's not just this location either. All of Five Guys have gone down. The time before this time, at the Moorestown location, I remember having to go back in and ask for more fries, because I just couldn't believe the paltry amount of fries I received for, again, EIGHT FUCKING DOLLARS! A PAPER CUP SIZE OF FRIES! FOR $8!!!! It was me and the Misses, and it was FORTY. DOLLARS. for what isn't even that good of a burger anymore. And the fries were pitiful. I like Five Guys, and when they get it right, they are ALMOST worth the exorbitant cost. But, they just rarely, if ever, get it right anymore, and they still cost an arm and a leg. This won't be a long review because Five Guys is a well know top tier fast food burger restaurant. So I assume the majority of people already know what they serve, which are burgers, fries, hotdogs, soda, and milkshakes. Upon entering, I noticed how clean the seating area was, which was impressive for how busy they were. They looked to be well staffed, the cooking area was full of employees, and our order was taken in a very prompt and polite manner. Everything at Five Guys is made to order, so I expect to wait a little while for the food to be prepared. They called my number for pick up faster than I expected, so that told me not only were they well staffed but the employees were taking their job seriously, that was a welcome surprise compared to many fast food establishments nowadays. They have one of those Coke machine that let's you choose many different varieties. I went with the Cherry Coke, and it was perfectly blended. The burgers were awesome as usual, and one order of large fries was more than enough for the 3 of us. I was going to give 4 stars but the custo.er service put it over the top. I feel bad for restaurants right now. This particular one only had 2 tables for eat in. I was able to dine in. While I was eating, a guy got his food, left and then came back because his order was wrong. Without hesitation they made his order again. He was told to keep the wrong order as well because of their mistake. No issues, no attitude and there was a few apologies from the workers. It was nice to see. As for my food, a cheeseburger, little fries and a drink cost me $18 but it was just as good as I remember as its been many years since I've had food from Five Guys since the one closer to me closed down. Stopped by for lunch, restaurant seemed clean and orderly. They have peanuts that you can bag up and take with you or munch on while waiting for your order. The menu is fairly simplistic just order a burger and add your favorite toppings. They do not come with fries and they must be ordered separately. The burgers were pretty good all members of my party enjoyed them including myself, the fries were fresh and hot and cut from skinned potatoes. After eating I felt full but not full enough, so I decided to go for one of their shakes. The shakes are $5 and they have a decent selection. I'm going to say the shake wasn't all that and maybe skip it and head to your locate ice cream joint. The prices are a bit high but on the verge of acceptable. All and all it was a pretty good quick meal and I will be heading back if the opportunity a raises. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service and experience! Ordered food at 6pm got it at 7:18pm. We ordered through their website and they told us we had to call door dash... we order through your website! You call door dash we used your site! We order burgers and fries along with milkshakes. Over $60 in food the burgers and fries arrived cold and soggy and the milkshakes were melted and warm. This one hurts to give three but if you order these burgers for take out, when you get home they are all smooshed together. You can't even make out the toppings. They are just soggy and smooshy! The beef is quality but I don't understand why these burgers get like that. I was really disappointed when I got home and saw it. Very unappealing to look at as well. Maybe if you eat it there it isn't as bad but I wasn't able to do so and didn't think they would be like this. Solid experience at the Deptford Five Guys last weekend! My husband and I were on our way to a wedding in deep South Jersey, and we needed something quick and easy for lunch. I hadn't been to Five Guys in ages so we decided to grab some burgers. We walked in right before a crush of local athletes so our timing was great. I didn't really get a chance to take in the menu before the cashier asked us what we wanted to order. I felt a little rushed so just went with a bacon cheeseburger and order of fries to share. It was only after we placed our order that we carefully read the sign and realized that our burgers wouldn't come with any toppings. My husband ran over to the counter to see if we could add lettuce and tomato. The staff took care of that for us which was greatly appreciated! Everything is cooked to order so we waited around five minutes or so before our number was called. Again, in a rush to order, I didn't realize that my burger came with two patties. The burger was massive but delicious and I housed it! The fries came overflowing into the brown paper bag and there were so many we actually didn't even finish them. The space for eating isn't really comfortable (uncomfortable chairs that screech loudly when moved across the floor) so I think there could be some improvements there. Otherwise, this was a positive experience and I'd return if I was in the area and craving something on the opposite end of healthy. read more

On Sunday 1/16 I ordered cheese burger and I paid for an additional extra patty. I received the burger without burger! I just got buns lettuce, bacon and some fixing not even 1 patty out of the 3 I ordered. I was very disappointed and I called the store to be told that since it's Ubereats they can't do anything about it. It was 9.50 pm and most the restaurants around me are closing so I couldn't even order something else. Never using that store again. read more

Love five guys probably my favorite burger place. I love that you can get as many toppings as you like. Sandwiches are always juicy and delicious. Their fries are good too, love to dip them in malt vinegar. I haven't tried the milkshakes yet but plan on trying them soon. Went back tonight (12-14-18). Burgers are always good. They had a ton of people working. My only complaint is they forgot my grilled jalapeños but that's ok. This is my favorite burger spot and I am sure I will be back soon. read more

So I have been a long time Five Guys fan and it saddens me to write this review. I thought it was a fluke the first time it happened but we went back and it happened again. On 2/23/2024 we went to Deptford location. Maria cashier was great. Made sure we got all sides requested. Fries great as usual. Chocolate shake good too. However these last two times we went to Five Guys it appears they have changed their rolls. Well it's either they made the rolls bigger or are using less meat. The burger patty still tastes good but I can no longer eat it on the bun because it tastes like I'm only eating bread. These last two times I had to remove the roll to eat it. My wife ordered a little hamburger which makes it worse. I get the 2 patties and it has too much bread and miss the old rolls. The hamburger is the main reason we go to Five Guys but since it isn't the same we will need to go elsewhere read more

Five Guys has a great tasting burger, it is fresh and you see them grill your burger unlike other burger joints who put them through a conveyor oven. Plus you can enjoy peanuts as you wait for your order to be called out Got the bacon cheeseburger with toppings you choose for no additional price. The regular is 2 patties and it is very filling and tastes are good. It can be a little pricy for the burgers. Bacon is not over cooked or under cooked, cooked just right. Also ordered some cajun fries, small order is reallly a good bet cause they over load the cup they put it in and they add some more to the bag, which makes it better . Don't know what it is but when they hand you the bag and you see the grease from the fries seeping through on the bag its gonna be a good day. I know that doesn't sound healthy but you live once... go for it. They also have dogs they make.. once in a while i would go with 2 bacon cheese dogs with raw onions ketchup and mustard.. good stuff right there people.. I finally decided to see what the hype about this chain was all about. It was Meh at best. I ordered the small bacon cheese hamburger with lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato & ketchup. I was unsettled about them cooking the meat to well done but it wasn't dried out. I prefer my burgers medium. But rules are rules here. Even with all the toppings, I found my sandwich lacking in any flavor. I guess you have to salt & pepper the meat yourself. Even the cheese & bacon was bland. Bacon was crisp which I like. The tomato wasn't flavorful either. The bun was very lack luster as well. I guess I expected something better for my $6.83. I did not order anything else. The restaurant was clean with a few patrons. The staff was friendly & efficient. They have self serve peanuts. So be aware if you have an allergy to peanuts. I won't bother eating from this chain again because it's not an outstanding burger. This place -- amazing. We all know the food is stellar. This review is about the above and beyond amazing customer service. I'm lactose intolerant so I ordered a burger without cheese. When I received my order, I noticed they accidentally added cheese to my burger. No big deal, I just brought it up to the counter and explained my situation. After apologizing profusely, they vowed to make another one. Something must have gotten lost in the mix because ten minutes later, my burger wasn't ready. The manager ran over to me, almost exasperated with about a thousand apologies. Things happen, I wasn't really that upset. I got a speedy new burger, more fries, and a coupon for a free meal at a later time. So they messed up my burger and when they remade it, it got lost. This could easily have resulted in a negative review. It was the incredible customer service and genuine caring that I really appreciated. read more

I have always believed they FG's is one of the better burger joints in its category. Simple and good. I was disappointed on my last visit. I felt that the burger was over done and dry and the bacon was burnt and basically bacon bits as opposed to strips of bacon. But my biggest issue is the price. For a little bacon burger and a soda, just under $10. I just feel the price point is way to high. If I had ordered fries, it would have been another $4. I do like FG's, but I won't be rushing back anytime soon. Locally, if I want a burger I will go to Kid Rips for one of the best burgers in the area. Service was good and prompt. Place was clean. Staff did a great job. I just think you are pricing yourself out of regular guests. read more

I like the burgers a lot, I usually get the burger with everything. The meat is well seasoned, cooked to order, and balances well with the other ingredients when ordered "with everything." This is key for me when it comes to a burger, I don't want my burger to taste like I just have a mouthful of ground beef, so an appropriately sized patty to bun to toppings ratio is important. I like that they offer many different toppings, but that there is a set "with everything" that works well. I am not a big fan of the fries, they usually soak the bag they come in with oil. The small menu doesn't give much in the range of alternative options for a side dish, so often I just eat my burger with peanuts. don't come within 100 feet of this place if you have a peanut allergy. Ordering to go is a bit of a mess, my burger has started to fall apart when I've gotten take out. A better take out container would help with this, or just eat it in the restaurant. read more

I've been back a few times since my last review. While the burgers are still superb, the fries seem to have taken a negative turn. I remember having been served delicious crispy fries here in days gone by, but now the fries are soggy and greasy. They're not bad, don't get me wrong. But they're definitely not the best around. I like my fries to be as crispy as possible and these just aren't anymore. The burgers are still excellent though! And again I should make mention of the bacon. In my experience, NOBODY else serves bacon this crispy on a burger, and so evenly distributed at that. If you like bacon burgers and don't care about fries, this is your place. EDIT: I should point out that they have no "kids meal" options at all. So if your kid is still in the chicken nuggets/mac n cheese phase, you might want to skip this for their sake unless they'll eat a hot dog. read more

They're good burgers, but they're not quite what everyone makes them out to be. I've had much better burgers at Shake Shack or Bobby's Burger Palace, and they're about the same price. The fries are also good, but I've seen them imitated, and the imitations do it better. Ollie Gator's in Berlin, NJ does a perfect imitation. The problem with the fries is half of them will be cooked well while the other half are limp and soggy. I have a feeling they pull the fries out of fryer earlier and that causes this. Its a bit pricey for nothing more than a fast food burger. The toppings are all free, but they tend to skimp on some of them. I always ask for extra lettuce and I never have gotten enough. The bacon seems to be the star of the burger. The cheese is also good, but often doesn't melt well enough. For this particular store, I placed an order online for pickup at 6:05. I was there at 6:05. My food wasn't done until 6:10. That pretty much defeats the purpose of ordering online, I would have lost no time ordering at the store. The Cherry Coke was out at the machine, and the nicest feature of this store, the view onto the courtyard is now boarded up and they're building more stores in that courtyard. I have heard friends talking about this place and how I just HAD to go here because they had the best burgers and fries. Thinking it would just be another McDonalds type-of fast food restaurant, I was clearly mistaken. The service was fast and friendly and my fries and burgers came out hot and cooked to perfection. Here's the skinny, Freshly made and cooked to order Burgers. They're very good. The fries are freshly sliced potatoes, HOWEVER, the oil was not hot enough to make them crispy and they were LIMP. Now the not so good part. I waited 23 minutes for 2 cheese burgers, LIMP fresh french fries, and 2 drinks for approximately $20. The atmosphere is fast food like. All in All. I would have gone to a fast food hamburger joint. True, the burger wouldn't be as big and fresh, but the fries would be crispy, service would be quicker, and I would have saved $10 Bucks. read more
