    Fries

Ordered the Whit or Whitout meal through DoorDash. It arrived promptly and was packaged with care. The sandwiches were substantial and generously filled with meat. One featured American whiz, and the other had classic cheddar whiz. Both were delicious, with soft rolls and perfectly caramelized onions. I opted for mine toasted, which added a satisfying crunch. The fries could have used a bit of salt, as they were otherwise plain. However, the side of American whiz complemented them well--cheese makes everything better. The fries came in a large portion, ideal for sharing. Overall, the sandwiches were flavorful, filling, and very satisfying. Whit or Whitout offers a variety of cheesesteak options, including the Phillthy Cheesesteak with their signature sauce and the Angry Cheesesteak for those who enjoy a spicy kick. They also serve items like The Bird sandwich, jumbo wings, and classic sides such as mozzarella sticks and onion rings. The menu caters to a range of tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone.

    Philly steak without the bread.

We went to wait or without on a whim because we happen to be in the area. I did not realize how close we were to Philly and we were going to take the drive. However this place in Jersey was recommended so we took a chance I am not big on Philly cheesesteak but my husband Loves it so we went ahead to try it. The place is a typical takeout type restaurant, No Frills and nothing fancy there were benches and tables outside where we sat. My husband ordered a Philly cheese with mushrooms and peppers and I cannot have gluten so I ordered it without the bread. The sauce was highly recommended so we did purchase a side of that. My husband enjoyed his sandwich. I basically got a container filled with meat. I was hoping for some more peppers but all in all it was OK. It was too much meat for me so I packed it to go however I never got back to eating it. The service was fast and courteous. I don't recommend this place if you're gluten-free but if you can have a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, then go for it. I do regret that we didn't order any fries but all in all it was a good experience.

    BG55

Don't believe the 1 star review. And personally think 3 are weak too. This place rocks! Small family owned business and they work hard. But the best is the sandwich. I'm in town for work for a week and a half and found them. 1st time I was blown away. Had the BG55. Not a big Whiz fan and it has provolone and American. But BIG dices of onions and bacon. BIG sandwich for $18. Lots of tender steak and the sauce has a slight bite to it. Not hot, but noticeable. All I could do was think about how good that thing was - so I went a 2nd time and got the BG55 again! They got more sandwiches than you can shake a stick at. Only down side is it's take out only. But that is not a problem for me. It's probably a good thing I don't live here cuz these things are like meat heroin! GO GET ONE!

A great spot that we stopped at on our way up north. It's about 20 minutes off the turnpike, so if you're on a tight schedule, keep that in mind. The shop is tiny but cute and there are a couple of picnic tables outside. We got the Phillthy bowl and Angry Phillthy sandwich. We asked for a regular sandwich but didn't realize until afterwards that we were charged for and got the XL. Both were HUGE and we had leftovers. I wish there was some explanation in the store of what the different sandwiches were, that would have been helpful. But very delicious!

Haven't been around this area much in years, but was looking for a cheesesteak and was out doing some shopping and this showed up. Cute little place, friendly lady at the front counter, only bad thing is no inside seating, but there are picnic tables outside, decided to take our cheesesteaks home. I got the Phillthy cheesesteak which she says is a special sauce on it but it definitely tasted good. Lots of cheese melted into the chopped steak, rolls was good and the onions were perfect. Really good cheesesteak.

Garlic Cheese Steak Sandwich with American wiz

Absolutely amazing. I have family in from out of state. We searched FB to find out where to order cheesesteaks from. Whit or whitout was very highly recommended on the south Jersey food scene page. We gave them a call and placed our orders. Time to show the out of staters what a real cheesesteak is. Wellll you showed us locals what a real cheesesteak is too. Absolutely delicious. The American wiz I could have probably just eaten directly from the cup. By far the best cheesesteaks we have ever had. Full of meat, hot, great steak to cheese ratio. I can't say enough good things! So delicious!

While still offering a full bar with high tops to sit at, TV's along the walls and a solid beat of very listenable music ... we had chosen the Corner to eat at and the one pager didn't offer what their website and prior menu photographers had implied. We walked in on a Sunday evening ... the darkness had enveloped the daylight but we were hungering for some of the menu items but upon opening the doors we discovered an emptiness applicably haunting on a dark dark night. But, then the barkeep welcomed us with this awesome smile and greeting! She pointed out that patience would be a virtue since she was working the bar and the dining tables, which we noticed did have some semblance of life present around them. We ordered our bar beverages and pursued the menu plus the "specials," which were limited. When the adult beverages were transported back we had questions about the chili and the crab chowder. We said we were testing her honesty as to how good they were. She described the chili but said she was allergic to shell fish so she couldn't say how the chowder was but she asked .... 'Would you like a sample of both so you can decide?" A SAMPLE we thought ... well yes, that is an exceedingly pro-customer option BRING ON THE SAMPLES ... So she strolls back with soup spoons and samples. And, we were thrilled .... The chili was not "spicy hot" but it was oh so flavorful and the Maryland Crab Chowder was thickened with stuff because after all it was a chowder with a little edgy kick but oh so so good! Decisions made ... Definitely the chili and a chicken quesadilla but the Chowder was turned down because it would be "too much" along with the desired fish taco's. And, what perfect decisions ... delicious food and the chili even got better topped with cheese and jalapeño! The price was right too. As we sipped the last few drips of the adult beverages while eyeing some of their happy hour specials we wondered why the menu was shrunk because we were very very happy ... And, after walking up to the bar to get the bill (We told her she was working her butt off handling the bar and tables that the least we could do was walk to her when we needed something.) and paying ... it was back into the dark of the night ... so dark and so satisfied with food and perhaps that second adult beverage my passenger went to the side door of a car that wasn't mine ... It was the right choice ... not the car but the Corner ... a good ending with plans for a return for one of those discounted happy night meals.

There's a lively atmosphere in there, which may be a little too loud for some people, but it's never been bad while we're there. Granted, we've been fortunate to miss the evening rush the two times we've gone, so service has always been good; with friendly servers and the food coming out fairly quickly. No idea if this is the norm, but the service staff are always nearby and seem to be very attentive even when it's busy. As for the food, it's solid pub fare. Lots of sandwiches and comfort dishes. The salads are good, and the sandwiches (chicken parm and shrimp po' boy sliders) I've tried have been good enough that I wouldn't hesitate to get them again. The serving sizes were larger than we expected, so definitely come hungry or order something that'll be good as leftovers. If there's one picky thing to consider, it's that they under salt their fries. I usually don't like too much salt, but they're noticeably lacking. The fries are good, though. With a nice staff, fair prices, bang-for-your-buck portions, and tasty food, Nipper's is worth checking out when your craving pub food and a pub atmosphere.

First time here and last time. Ordered a Cuban sandwich and…read morereceived their version of it I suppose . Slices of pork , a slice of ham , chopped pickles and a healthy overdose of a white sauce and it was served on an upside down sub roll . Yes , slice a roll and make the sandwich on the darker round part and leave the cut inside part on the top and bottom . Any Cuban I've ever had was always pressed or grilled but this was not , it was just sloppy upside down bread . I've never had a Cuban sandwich like this before ! It was a sloppy mayo dripping mess that I couldn't eat because I can't eat mayonnaise, something that should have been on the menu description. When a server popped by I asked what it was and she said it was a mayo- horseradish sauce and walked away . I ate the tater tots and left the sandwich, it was pretty bad . Well my boyfriend was finished his meal and both of our beers were empty and yet no one bothered to ask if we wanted another round . We sat there and waited, looking around at the 3 employees who were just standing there talking ... no one seemed to care. Our server who disappeared after taking our order walked right past us to chat with a couple of younger guys right behind us , they were regulars and she obviously knew them . They were chatting and laughing away and here we sat with empty glasses , an upside down sub roll slathered with mayo sauce and no server . Finally another server came by to ask if we wanted anything else and I said no just the check . She saw the sandwich untouched and I said I didn't know it had mayonnaise , something I can't have . She brought the check back and said she removed the Cuban . Um ....no , we were charged $2.50 for the tater tots which I did eat and $2.00 for the Cuban . What did she remove ? Meanwhile when our server saw we were leaving she finally decided to tear herself away from her conversation with the guys to ask if we were okay ....no but thanks for asking . A drink refill , a stop by to see if we needed anything or how was the food but no , we ceased to exist after she took our order . Overall pretty disappointing experience here and we won't be returning. And we're always very generous tippers but not tonight . Tonight we tipped based on the overall experience.... Food - not good at all Service - pretty much nonexistent Atmosphere- if you're a regular you get treated like you matter , you actually get a server that's not invisible !!! Would definitely not recommend this place

HUH??? What did you say??…read more The volume of the music system at Mt Royal almost shoves you back out the door ... you can feel the sound and I don't even begin to imagine the damage being done inside the ears of the bar keeps at this inn that has been standing on this corner for more than 100 years (Foundation must be good to withstand the thundering sounds ... did I mention it is LOUD IN HERE!!)! Even my glasses were shaking. Friendly staff but frankly I could not hear what my multiple draft choices were so I meekly said "I will have that first IPA." She replied "you nt the ore dub?' Or something like that ... I smiled and said yes. I hate QR menus but oh well. Specials and signatures are there along with the menu ... I find myself moving with the music but not sure it's by my choice or by the reverberation of sound. By the way, I am seated in a side room off the main bar area where the sound is blitzing the atmosphere! They also have some outdoor seating... highly recommended! 'I am rockin' in the USA' oops, sorry just started singing LOUDLY!! it's my birthday so what the heck even if I never hear again I am going to sing loud and out of key ... no one can hear me or even their own inner thoughts. Going "Buffalo" tonight because I have heard how good their 'wings' are plus they have Buffalo's traditional fish fry of beer battered haddock. And, it's my birthday!! Nice to be acknowledged by some BILLS' Fans or at least I think they said something good about my team because I am wearing Bills' colors. I think someone just collapsed from the sound ... a scream ... the music is 80's and 90's with a beat that literally moves you. I should have gone outside .. I reality should have. Menu has a nice selection of sandwiches... Suddenly the music's volume has returned to an acceptable level of loudness and the food arrived. Grabbed a fry and it was a really good fry! The fish offered the look of a wee bit long in the fryer but if a timer was buzzing earlier in the kitchen the cook could not have heard it. The wings dripped sauce... blue cheese hidden but it was there. However, NO CELERY ... NO CARROTS & no cole slaw with the fish ... I was in fry city. If you serve WINGS you serve CELERY! The wings frankly are not the best in South Jersey not even the best in the county. They however were "not bad" although in keeping pace with the fish they were not juicy and obviously over-fried. The good news they were not battered, which seems to be South Jersey kitchen's favorite way to prep the wings made famous in Buffalo, NY. Whatever beer I picked was pretty good (Bonesaw). I watched others struggling with the QR coded menu and absently tapped my fingers to music whose lyrics were hard to comprehend because my ears were blown out earlier. Bartender is also waiting tables so I patiently waited ... checked for cotton in my ears. Signed off ...20 percent tip, she is working hard. I came for my birthday to get really good, "best wings" according to some, and I am leaving with my inner ears muffled in their ability to process sound not impressed with their bar food nor atmosphere. They say this place has lots of history but frankly it is H-I-S-T-O-R-Y to me. I strongly urge management to limit the volume of the music, which was at an acceptable level as I left (Unless, I lost that much of my hearing earlier and it's still loud.). If you are attempting to provide meals to folks those drinking at the bar need to accept loud music rather than what welcomed me.
