A decent enough burger. I tried theIr regular hamburger. You have to eat it straight away as there is a lot of liquid that comes from the mushrooms I think. Therefore to avoid your bun getting soggy, eat immediately. Service was fast and friendly. The floors inside looked a bit messy, but they seem to be making efforts in sanitation, see the picture of their covid sign.

Slowest place in Miami.

Isn't it fast food? Lol I was waiting for my order for 17 minutes, it was only 2 customers before me. The problem is people don't really want to work and do it very slow. Because they get paid hourly!..

I have only been once to Five Guys when I was in college, and decided to give it another try this past weekend. Since there are several locations across Miami the closest to our job is the Dixie highway spot. The menu is very limited because their focus here is primarily the gourmet burgers and the french fries made from scratch. We ordered two junior cheeseburgers with lettuce, diced onions, ketchup, and mustard, on a toasted sesame seed bun. Regarding the french fries we ordered the large which was huge, it was pretty much a brown bag full of french fries!! I am glad that we ordered the junior burger because we would of been towed out of the restaurant with the abundance of french fries that were ordered. The quality of both burgers and fries were on par from what you expect from these gourmet burger joints, the burger was well cooked and the right condiments were added, while the fries were very greasy but very tasty and the right amount of salt. For desert we also ordered the chocolate shake which were the perfect companion and ending to our meal, very smooth and not too sweet. I wish I could eat here every day but, we all know why we can't do it.

I ordered on DoorDash hoping for "good enough." What I got was unreal. The burger was absolute perfection. Juicy, bold, perfectly balanced blue cheese. I was not prepared for that level of thoughtfulness. It completely changed my night. I called to thank them personally and Umberto, the manager, was incredibly kind and genuinely appreciative. The indoor ambience was cool with memorabilia all over the wall like a small TV playing star wars movie, a retro TV in the bathroom painted the words on it "Legalize Kush". Also graffiti art on the walls. Very cool spot in the grove. Since it was a nice cool evening, we opted to sit outdoors. Nice. Eventually the bill came in a CD case! Haha.

It's great knowing that whenever the craving hits for a juicy burger, you can swing by any day of the week and get your fix. I went with some friends, and we each ordered something different ...I had the Timba burger, one friend got the Bacon, and another tried the lala. These smash burgers are about 5 ounces each, so if you're thinking of doubling up, just know it's going to be massive. I've tried the McLala's, the Classic before, and I'll admit I'm more of an Original girl when it comes to bothers. While I was hoping to love the Timba the classic is the way to go ! As for appetizers though, i am so glad we went with both! We got the queso frita with guava sauce which were perfectly crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of sweet and savory. But the star of the night was their new special cheeseburger bacon croquetas in béchamel sauce. Holy moly, they have to keep these on the menu. They had this corndog like crispy cornflake texture on the outside with flavorful meat inside, creamy sauce, and a hint of lime that tied everything together. I'd honestly come back just for those. Crossing fingers that they stay!

During our first visit on a Thursday night, the restaurant wasn't very busy. The manager came by to introduce herself and explained the menu, drinks, extra burger patty is $4. I thought that was a nice touch. We ordered the queso frito bites and I wanted to like them, but my order clashed with the hot queso frito and cold guava sauce. Sauce could be warmed up. I also felt the plastic container it came in was a pretty cheap presentation. Not sure if these are even reused, as in washed or in the dishwasher, but being more environmentally conservative would be nice. We ordered our burgers with one patty. One patty is enough. Our burgers arrived. We ordered McLala, the bacon burger and a side of fries to share. Glad we got one order of fries because it was a lot of fries. And seriously, one patty is enough. The food has great potential, but the food didn't really wow me.

Location: Wynwood, Miami FL Date/Time of Day: Saturday,…read moreLunch Time Ambiance: Skinny Louie's is a quick walk up counter themed to be an old fashion 70s-80s burger joint (no reservation needed). Restaurant includes indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating where guest can sit down and enjoy their meals. Workers did an excellent job keeping each dining table clean and ready for the next customer. Size of dining room allows for customers to enjoy their meals quickly, which improves turnover. Bang for Buck ($): 3 separate types of burgers to purchase (regular, cheese w/ onions, and bacon), each with ability to have 1-3 patties included. Burgers start around $7.50 and increase $3/patty. Burgers are smash style which allow for the crispy edges although smaller in overall volume. Thoughts/Review: 4.2/5 starts in my opinion. I would be interested in returning. I purchased the double patty Louie burger that included cheese and caramelized onions. Soft style brioche buns and smash burgers were delicious and well cooked. Definitely checks all boxes when it comes to the cravings that come with the desired smash burger. Unfortunately, was slightly greasy but that's expected with this style. Only true critique would be the desire for tomato and lettuce to be added, although it's not available on the menu. Fries were crispy and salted excellently. And soda (~$3.50) bottled are the only beverages next to the (free) water station. Overall very happy with service and quality of food.
