I went to Country Bay Music Festival here in Miami this weekend and upon leaving the festival with some midnight snack cravings... my friends and I decided to go to Taco Bell! Not only did we go the first night of the festival but we went for another late night run the second night as well! The food was amazing both nights, and none of our orders were wrong. Couldn't have asked for more for ordering food at 12:30 AM. Having only been to Taco Bell a handful of times I was all in but decided to try something different from my usual favorite the "Crunchy Taco". While looking at their menu I decided to try the Chalupa Supreme.... And it was the best choice I ever made because it is my new favorite item!! I mean a taco with the shell being flatbread! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS... and I LOVE me a hard shell taco but this is my new favorite which says something haha. My boyfriend asked me that night if I had ever tried a Cinnabon Delight as I proceeded to say no he then ordered 2 of them and let me tell you.... THESE ARE THE MOST AMAZING THINGS EVER. I had no idea what I was biting into but my jaw dropped from how INCREDIBLE these tasted.... This place is severely understaffed and undertrained :( there's several doordashers who have been waiting for their orders for about 20 mins, many of them have just left at this point. Being a hindu who does not eat beef, taco bell has repeatedly put beef in my "vegetarian" orders. This one especially. Quite irresponsible. I ended up eating one slice of beef mexican pizza accidentally and threw up my dinner. As you can see in the photo, the effort seems intentional: typically there is either beef or beans. However, in this instance, there is both with beef hidden under other slices. Destroyed my appetite. I will never go here again. PS: taco bell. For a Taco Bell, this place is alright. I'm never going to order a crunch wrap supreme ($2.99) again because it is either soggy or burned. Or even both somehow. On my last drive through visit, I discovered that the chalupa supreme ($2.39) is better than a crunch wrap. Where else can you get Doritos locos tacos ($1.49)? The taco shells are sometimes broken and the amount of lettuce & cheese filling varies. The new breakfast items are too greasy for me. Overall, this is an okay option if you're desperately hungry and too lazy to make food or stand in line at the nearby Chipotle. Drive through service is surprisingly acceptable here. Honestly, Taco Bell has been there for me when other places haven't. Where else would I go for my past midnight food cravings?! I have been going to this location for years and in my experience, they have done a pretty good job. My only complaint is that they don't melt the cheese completely sometimes when I get chicken quesadillas. I really am a big fan of dillas (short for quesadillas), so it kind of breaks my heart when I bite into a dilla that is FULL of cold cheese :( ! Compared to other Taco Bells, this one is still particularly bad. I come here with my roommate a few times a month usually when nothing else is open. They seem to get my order correct only about half the time. This mistakes ranges from giving us cold food, to forgetting to substitute beef with beans (my roommate is vegetarian), to completely forgetting an item after we've already paid for it. This is also the slowest fast food place ever. There's been a couple times where I've waited 20+ minutes for my food. The few times I've dined in, the place was dirty. I don't have much good things to say about the service either. There was a time when the person at the window wouldn't give us extra hot sauce even though we ordered a huge amount of food. My friend ordered crunchy tacos and so did I. They are honestly pretty good and the prices are excellent. Four of us ate for about $20. I was specifically craving a Gordita crunch, so I dragged myself out of bed, got dressed, got into my car and drove on over. There is no line at the drive through, and all I ordered was 2 Gordita crunches. I went to the window and the cashier was polite but seemed distracted talking to another employee. He handed me my bag and I asked him for extra hot sauce. He reached into a bucket and put some in. I drove home and didn't even look. Once I looked in my bag, first thing I see, ALL FIRE sauce. I don't like the actual taste of fire sauce so I always use extra hot sauce. There was only one packet. So not only was he distracted and not paying attention to get what I asked correct or he just didn't care and ran out and gave me what he had. Once I go to eat my tacos I usually open the tacos up and put the hot sauce in (luckily I keep extras around at my house and has some hot sauce at home) the Gordita crunch had about a dot of the special sauce that makes it a Gordita. It tasted like a normal hard taco with a soft shell wrapping it. Was very disappointed. This Taco Bell was the first place I ever ate in Miami. True story. Had the worst flight experience ever planes yes I said multiple aircrafts ended up breaking and our 3 hour flight became 10 hours of travel and we landed at 2:30 AM. This was the only place open at 3 on a Wednesday and seeing that sign and the lights on made the night a little better. Very reasonably the cashier was surprised when my dad and I pulled up to pay for our ridiculous order but since then this place is like a bad habit I can't quit. Sometimes some thing you know is bad for you is the best thing for you. The food is good for what it is and it is the best hangover blocker in the world....except for not drinking in the first place. The staff is quick and the baja blast is amazing. Go to hangover cure: cheesy Gordita crunch and a baja blast. Please remember though, this is a hangover cure not a daily meal.
