I ended up ordering the hot dog with avocado (sans tomato) and some spicy fries. Both of the items were pretty good. My on issue is that I had hoped the hot dogs would be bigger. I'd rather have a bigger dog with less toppings vs more toppings and less dog. I understand Thad's how they're made here though and I respect that. The spicy fries are similar to Cajun fries from other places but these have more of a kick. I liked them a lot and how they were not too crispy. I can see myself coming back to try other items from the menu next time.

Ordering was pretty easy, kiosk or counter, take your pick. The rodeo burger caught my attention immediately. Thinking about it has me salivating. Honestly. You can get it regular or as a double and no going back as soon as you've had it! I paired my burger wth chili cheese fries. I'm regretting not adding the jalapeños to it. They had this lemon cake milkshake that is absolutely delicious. There's actual cake in that that shake! I noticed that they offer catering too. Where asking a question feels like you're interrupting someone's day. So today, when I took my son to Ted's Hot Dogs. This is a place I've been going to since the 1900s (as my kids love to remind me ). I didn't expect much. Things had changed since my childhood days, but the food had always remained good! I just missed the days when the same guy worked the grill and knew my name and my order by heart. But then, today... There was Karen. Yes, Karen!! Standing over a grill in 117° Arizona heat, she greeted us with patience, kindness, and an actual smile. She let my son take his time ordering without making him feel rushed. And when the ketchup was empty, she didn't shrug it off or point us in another direction. She didn't hand me a thousand little packets since the pump was empty. She simply took care of it. Was it just ketchup? Sure. But it also wasn't. It was someone choosing to care. When other patrons had notified other staff multiple times it was out - Karen found a simple solution without excuses! These days... that feels rare. We've spent years turning the name "Karen" into a punchline. But today, I met the kind of Karen the world could use a whole lot more of. If you're her manager and you're reading this... take good care of her. Promote her. Clone her if science ever figures that out. Because people like Karen don't just serve food - they create loyal customers who keep coming back!! In a world that tells us what a "Karen" is... be this Karen.

We sat down and waited another 25 minutes until finally our buzzer beeped. We picked up our tray and noticed we were only given 5 hot dogs, not 6. We didn't mention anything just because we saw how busy it still was. The hot dogs were actually pretty good. They were a decent size and flavorful. We really liked the bacon fries and it was enough to share between us three. There was an employee keeping the tables clean and picking up trash - he was friendly.
