Wow. Easily the most mis-managed Five Guys I've ever encountered. I place a mobile order, and went inside and sat right by the counter where I was clearly noticed by all the employees (I was one of two people in the restaurant) I waited for 20 minutes before finally asking about my food. "Oh your Tim? Your food has been ready." I look around at the empty restaurant before reluctantly accepting my now cold food. Nothing but attitude and lack of accountability when I confronted them about staring at me for last 20 minutes without asking why I'm there. The cherry on top is that they completely botched the order. I gave Five Guys corporate a chance to make it right but I heard nothing back, so I'll never go to another Five Guys again. RIP read more

Ordered food from here before. However, I've never experienced such poor customer service. Begin by walking to the register to order a small cheeseburger and a small fries. Attending asks: "What would you like on that?" I responded with "Everything except for the grilled mushrooms" Im told this time in a snooty, passive aggressive tone "Really? Everything?" I again responded "Everything but the mushrooms". He rings me up saying "okay" and tells me to insert my card. While the payment is processing he turns around and announces to the other 5 workers on the line and everyone else in the restraunt "Hey, I think we should add 'everything' to the menu because 'all the way' isn't enough for some people" ('All the way' is how the additions and condiments are advertised on the menu). Totally disrespectful. What better way to represent your business of overpriced soggy hamburgers then by putting you clientele on blast infrastructure of the whole establishment. read more

This location has about the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Walked up to the register, the employee rolled his eyes and walked up, didn't say hello, what can I get you, nothing. Oh what to say about these 5 Guys, their burgers and fries.... I haven't had a burger in a few months and I was hesitant for a good 20 minutes prior to deciding on lunch on where to go and if I should go here because I wasn't feeling true fast food/drive thru today. So a little bacon cheeseburger and little cajun fries it is. This place is always clean so thats cool. You can watch them make your food right there. Today it took 8 1/2 minutes to get my food - I'd say that's acceptable. Sooo many fries and they are pretty good. The burger was ok - so many toppings my patty was a little lost but definitely a better patty than one of those fast food places. Visited this location on October 24th. Placed my takeout order for for a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. Got back home, opened my burger, and discovered that there were no burger patties on the burger. Called the restaurant and they offered to remake the burger or give me a refund. I opted for the refund. I got to the store and was only offered a refund for the burger, but not the fries getting cold or the drink with melting ice that were ruined at this point. I demanded a full refund but was refused. Terrible customer service. I believe that one of the cooks purposely did this to my order. The girl helping me claimed that nobody would purposely mess with my food and that mistakes happen during a "rush" (there were two other customers in the restaurant at the time). Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. Terrible excuse. I refuse to believe anyone working there is too incompetent to put the burger patties on the made-to-order burger. read more

I was in Neenah/Appleton for meetings last week. Instead of driving all over the place, I decided to stay close to the hotel. Also, this was the first day I got into town & it was late. After checking into the hotel, I used Yelp to see what was close. Less than a mile away was Five Guys. I got to Five Guys a few minutes before 10 P.M. They close at 10. I asked if it was too late to order, and they really went all out to make sure that I knew that they thought it was a pleasure for them to serve me. They were awesome. I ordered a small burger and fries. It was made fresh and served with a smile. They even told me to take my time as they would be cleaning up for the next hour. I would return to this place based on the service alone. However, the food was really good. read more

My Husband is a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur. We have not had Five Guys burgers before so we wanted to introduce our bellies to different burgers. I love burgers and I don't mind paying double digits for one. The cashier was extremely helpful and he walked us through the ordering process. Basically you choose the type of burger you want, then choose the toppings, and you may add fries and a drink if you wish. Very simple. You may also watch the guys make the burger. They have bags of potatoes and gallons of oil in the middle of the establishment. It doubles as décor (I think that's what they were going for) and a stock area for their extra items. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our burgers. When it arrived, the burgers were warm and they packed tons of fries with Cajun seasoning into the to-go bag. Note: If you're going to order fries for two or three people, just order one. One bite and the burger was juicy. The meat was medium well cooked. Don't get me wrong, the burger was pretty good. Tastes like meat and not fresh from frozen. But for the price, wait time, and in the environment of yelling between the employees, everything was just ok. It's been a while. Sometime ago in Connecticut I experienced the best burger money could buy. It was at a Five Guys in Farmington. The taste of the burger was like the East Coast version of the In and Out, fresh and delicious with seasoning, a bun and sauce that was outstanding, this was amazing. Fast forward to the Appleton location several years later, while driving through Wisconsin we decided to splurge on a delicious burger and fries, we decided we can treat ourselves and blow through the calories cause we both remembered the first time we had the burger, it was amazing. The location, accessible. The restaurant, clean. The staff, friendly. The burger, disappointing. The burger lacked all that was a burger, the meat fell apart inside the bun and crumbled to the table we both looked at each other and felt discouraged. The taste was that of something that has been and no longer existed, a fond memory fading in mind, something half-remembered. The fries were more than disappointing, the grease in the fryer may have been older than the oil in the car we were driving, fresh was the last word that would describe this food. To whomever eats there bewared, I do hope you have a better experience than we did, to whoever runs this establishment, please take a moment to evaluate quality of the product you are selling. Ok, here is the deal. I am a Burger Guy. I love em. In all there many forms and designs. I collect burger recipes like others collect coins. So, with that said, I have been reading about Five Guys Burgers for years, always feeling the bridesmaid, well, finally, I got to be the bride! LOL! My discovery of this new location and subsequent first visit was by accident, I happened to drive down the one road to the mall that I usually do not take and was excited to see the FIVE GUYS letters in red on the building. So, needless to say, I had to go right away. First, the menu. Not like anything you have ever seen before. I recommend that you visit the website to familiarize yourself. My son (10) ordered the Bacon Cheese Dog, he stated "best hot dog of my entire life!" My daughter (13) ordered a Little Bacon Cheesebuger, she loved it! Her comment was "better than a restaurant burger, it was like home made" I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. Which comes with two burger patties, cheese and bacon. Right off, I realized that they missed adding the bacon, as soon as I mentioned the missing bacon, they got me a side of bacon. Most places, your lucky if you get 3 little strips, they gave me enough to actually have two layers of bacon on my burger. The only downside for me was that the bacon was super crispy, so, if you like yours that way, you wil be very happy. Now, one thing you have to get used to when eating at Five Guys is how fresh everything about the burger is, it tastes so good! We also got a large order of fries. Hands down, might be the best fries I have ever had in a restaurant. I was told they blanch them first, that is what gives them their amazing taste. The only thing that was disappointing was that at $4.99 for a large order, it was pricey for the amount you actually get. We all loved the fries and no one really was able to get more than a small hand full and we were definitely left wanting more fries!! For the meal to feed three it came to $30.00, I spent half that for one burger and order of sweet potato fries at Serious Burger (which I will not go to again) with no drink. At Five Guys, I got for my money 2 burgers, 1 hot dog, fries and drinks. It is great to see all of the burger places that are now in Appleton, but hands down, Five Guys is best of all of them. read more

The manager steve is very rude, I placed an order which went through. But when I went to pick it up the store was closed at 6:30. They did not post anywhere they were closed and did not turn off their ordering systems. I was hung up on when I called. However, he did fill our order but for the next day. I don't know about you but if I order for dinner I don't usually want to eat it the next day. Now, I am on record as an official Five Guys fanatic. However, this location was not quite up to the standard that I've seen elsewhere. My burger was good, but the fries were not as crispy as I would've liked (most were downright soggy), and while I know it sounds silly, our "little" order of fries was anything but. And the whole reason I like that size is because it A) keeps me and the boyfriend from overindulging on starchy carbs, and B) reduces the amount of fries we have to throw away because we're overstuffed with said starchy carbs. Also, despite it being mid-afternoon, and thus well past the lunch rush, no one seemed to be sweeping up the piles of peanut shells on the floor, which seemed odd, since I've hardly ever been in a Five Guys that didn't have at least one person running around sweeping and emptying the trash pretty much constantly. And the soda fountain area didn't have anywhere to set drinks down while you grabbed lids and condiments, and in fact those items were confusingly located around the corner by the pick-up counter. Small complaints, to be sure, but a little surprising given the locations I've been to in the past. Next time we have a Five Guys craving, I'm sure we'll be back, hoping that they've cleaned up their act a bit. read more

Holy God this place is AMAZING! I'd been seeing these pop up all over Chicago, and while visiting family over the holidays, we were famished with gift returns and spotted this location! It's a little awkward to get into - like the drive is meant for moving traffic into the mall, but we and our tiny little city car made it! We stepped up to the counter, admitted we were brand-new to this process, and the guy was super helpful. We ended up getting a single burger, regular burger, fries and water. My surprise - they had accidentally cooked an extra patty and offered to make both burgers doubles! How nice! They also have boxes of peanuts in store. AWESOME. Was in Appleton to visit family. Being from a tiny rural town up near Crandon, I'm not familiar with many fast food places. The nearest McDonald's is even 20 miles away from me. So being in the Appleton area, I was shocked at all the fast food places around, and didn't know which one to choose. My step dad recommended Five Guys. I thought I'd give it a try. I went and ordered food for all 4 of us, and ordered myself a cheeseburger. It was AMAZING! I'd have to say, it was one of the best fast-food burgers I've ever had. I Ordered four cheese burgers with fries. Didn't realize one order of fries was so big and expensive. I got three cheese burgers instead of four. One came as a double instead of a single. I went here for lunch yesterday. There were about 6 people already seated and no one in line. I waited 27 minutes from the time the receipt was printed to when my order was called. Of my group of 4, the last to get their food waited 36 minutes and 6 other people who came after were served before her. She ordered a small burger with mushrooms... Between the loud scraping of the chairs on the floor and the blasting of hard rock music and the employees yelling back and forth to each other made for a terrible environment to enjoy a meal. As far as the food, limp soggy french fries, asked for grilled onions and got chopped up translucent onions, nowhere near "grilled". The burger was o.k. but very dry. Lean beef but everyone knows lean beef has very little flavor.
