State fair French fries! That was the best part about this meal.. the fries! You get half a bag full so I recommend getting the smallest size. Their menu is a bit confusing... cheeseburger and little cheeseburger. (I thought the little one was a kids meal but turns out it's a single patty vs double). I love that all the toppings are FREE! What a nice surprise. Better than some other competitors who charge .50 for one slice of tomato! I also enjoyed the free peanuts as a snack while I waited. They have good food. Order ahead and pick up works but they won't drop the fries until you come pick them up. A tip is to call the restaurant when you are two minutes away and tell them you are two minutes away and will pick up quickly so they can keep the restaurant clear of too many people waiting for their orders. That didn't work today because they have a kid that hung up the phone on me and then was more focused on listening to music instead of getting orders out. I have eaten at multiple locations and I really like 5 Guys. I love that they fry all of their french fries in peanut oil (sorry if you have peanut allergies) it gives the fries a great boardwalk inspired taste. The burgers are really great and you can load them up with as much stuff as you like, no extra charge. It is awesome if you are not picky, you can get a great burger for a steal (if your picky, you might lose out on some $). Learn to like new things =) It is a shame they only cook their burgers well done, I like mine kinda pink, but whatever it still tastes good. I tried a milkshake here for the first time and it was really good. Once again, you can load it up with as much crap as you want for no extra charge. I did Oreo, Extra Oreo, Oreo Creme, Peanut Butter, and Banana. Yum. The service at this location was slow, I waited in line for over 10 minutes and I had ordered online and asked for it to be done by 12:30, it hadn't even been started when I got to the location. Bummer. I took that time to take advantage of the free peanuts they offer, yes throw the shell on the ground if you want (or be nice to the staff and just throw them in the garbage). This place is fairly decent as burger joints go. A little on the pricier side but I had a $5 money back after spending $20 through my Amex card and that softens the cost a little. You can choose all of the condiments you want upon ordering and watch your burger prepped and grilled while you wait. All their French fries are fresh cut, and hand cut daily, as well as cooked in 100% peanut oil. Peanut allergies alert for sure! Because they also have a bin of peanuts, and little dishes to dish yourself up some to eat while you wait for your order. Tends to make for a messy floor, but that's part of the flair of the restaurant. If you only want one hamburger patty be sure to order the junior burger. Oops! I got a whole lotta burger. I have narrowed down my favorite fast food burger experience to Five Guys and MyBurger, and now have my perfect meal down to a science by combining the two. Yes, it can be a pain in the butt, but it's such a delicious meal I can hardly wait to get my ass home to chow down. The burger goes to Five Guys. Best burger ever. The Little Cheeseburger is plenty big, and for just over $5 (and all toppings are free, even extra cheese!!) it's a great deal. Their other stuff might be pricey (I'm guessing, because a lot of people mention that) but this is a burger 10x better than a Whopper and for about the same price or even less if you like to add toppings. My personal preference is with extra cheese, mayo (ask for extra if you want more than the size of a pea though, they are really stingy with the mayo for some reason, I usually just get it on the side so I can put as much as I want on), onions, ketchup and mustard. As soon as I get that hot little baby in my hot little hands I'm off to MyBurger (conveniently located just off the freeway on my way home). There I order their onion rings (best FF onion rings around, IMO) and get a side of the sweet pickles. I get home, build my burger, dip in to the onion rings, and I have the perfect fast food burger meal! The only way I can imagine I'll ever come across a better combination is in heaven. I like the Apple Valley location of Five Guys better than my regular Edina store, because for one, the availability of parking less than half a mile away in Edina is a crap shoot. I've given up and just left before because there was literally nowhere to park and no one was leaving. Apple Valley has ample parking for the most part. It's also not as busy. I've seen it get busy a few times after I've picked up my food, but I have never had to wait behind more than one person there. I'm assuming they get busy at times since there are always like 8 people working at a time, so I'm sure when it is busy they are able to keep up the pace pretty well. Five Guys is like magic, and I don't know if I can trust someone who doesn't like their burgers. I am a staunch supporter of having a little pink in my burger, and when I first heard 5G only makes them well done I was a little scared. No need. I don't know how they do it but the burger is still juicy and delicious and tastes like beef and not a charcoal hockey puck like most places when they make a well done burger. Hooray Five Guys!! The Five Guys in our area all seem to be fast, fresh and clean. They now have Coke Freestyle machines to choose from more pop/soda selections than anyone is used to with new flavors surfacing all the time. Five Guys in general have very good burgers at a reasonable price and it is all fresh. Meat isn't frozen and the vegetables are fresh. You can pile on the toppings except bacon (added cost) to a burger for no additional cost. I get "everything" or "all the way" which is most of the most popular toppings thrown on. Being a diabetic I've been able to order my burger with a lettuce bun. It's always wrapped tight with all the ingredients inside. They need to train new workers. Received my burger, not many toppings as I didn't get everything that I order and threw in mushrooms that I didn't order. They put lettuce on top and bottom of my burger in tiny pieces. I love their burgers! Their regular burger is actually a huge double beef patty-fresh, perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. You gotta love that their toppings are FREE, so go ahead big baller you, pile them sautéed onions and mushrooms to wild abandon! Their fries are perfection! For a regular size order, they literally give you a giant bag. Trust me, stick to regular size. We always do even when there's more than two of us eating. And speaking of those fries...they are freshly cut, never frozen and the potatoes sourced from local farms. They post the farm that supplied them on the board inside the restaurant. Some say that their prices are on the higher side but if I'm getting a quality (not previously frozen) hot, juicy double patty hamburger along with that giant bag of freshly cut fries, then I don't mind paying a little more for that value alone. Also remember, you are paying for a large double burger. Their menu can be confusing as well because they do offer a single patty burger called the "Little". Because of the current pandemic, you cannot dine inside. Because of the pandemic there are also no free shelled peanuts to munch on while you wait for your food. I've always loved the free peanuts at Five Guys. I think it's so neat of them to do! And as the old saying says, "I Don't mind if I do" whenever I'm in there. Due to the pandemic, precautions are being taken, only takeout orders and contactless payment at the register. There's plexiglass between you and the cashier and there are also markers on the floor so that a safe distance is kept. On this occasion, I was the only customer in the store. I skipped onions and peppers. It is on a hamburger bun and soggy. I ate less than half and gave to dog. The Fries are handcut but salty and soggy. No special dipping sauces. The menú is short and Prices seemed expensive. The bathroom has only one stall. I know who goes to a burger place and orders a veggie sándwich. I was looking for a chicken sándwich or Bison. Friendly counter worker. Took 10 minutes for takeout. This place faces competition from smashburger, red robin and others. The limited menú is a letdown. I Enjoyed the free peanuts and Took 2 scoops home. The Fries are fried in peanut oil. If you have peanut allergies stay away. I may return to Try a milkshake or hotdog. The burgers are really good (a big pricy). The forgot the jalapenos on my wife's burger and the bacon on my Bacon Cheeseburger must be an essence of bacon thing where they slide the bacon across the bun like a paintbrush and then put it back in the bin for the next one. Never have been a fan of the fresh potato fries as they always seem to taste a little burnt to me. Its worth it for the burger (if they don't mess up the order). If you have never been to a Five Guys you have to stop and try it out. This is a national chain and one thing they are really good at is consistency. The restaurants all look the same and the burgers are great. They have tons of toppings for free, their fries are cut fresh every day. They even post where the potatoes are from! Pretty cool. I have eaten at the Apple Valley restaurant a few times. The food has always been great. The service is a little slow at this location for some reason. Not sure why their process is fairly straight forward. Fry the burger on the flat top, add the bun and toppings wrap it and serve it. If your in the area, swing in and try this place. My husband and I had not been here but my daughter & son-in-laws chose this for a quick lunch. The cost of the burger varies depending on the size you want & whether you want cheeseburgers, but the double burgers/cheese burgers are a really good value. If hose aren't healthy enough for you then this isn't the place to come. Condiments are ordered as you want them, but grilled onions, and sautéed mushrooms are among them and at no extra charge! My husband did add onions to his and I selected the mushrooms along with others. My daughter warned us to just order 1 fries. OMG, a single order fed all 4 of us. They are also fresh rather than previous frozen and the name of the farm from which they come is posted on the board. The huge bags are available to see. In addition you can munch on peanuts in the shell while you wait for your order. None of us is allergic but our order came out so quickly we didn't have time to eat very many. The burgers were large, juicy and hot. The fries from fresh potatoes, really did taste better to us, too. One order that should not have included pickles, did, Water is available if you are avoiding soda, but for hubs and myself, this was our first experience with a machine that gives so many options to create your own brew! When I'm at school, I go to the one in Dinky Town once every 2-3 weeks and have never had a single problem. This summer, I've tried going here a few times as it's much closer. Here, though, the high school, teenage employee set my burger on fire and had to use the extinguisher to put it out. I had to wait 30 minutes for him to clean off the grill and remake my burger. He barely even apologized when he handed me my food, offering a weak, "sorry about the wait..." I would have complained to a manager had I not been awake for 40 hours after a long flight home. Another time, my sister picked up my order and brought it home. My order is simple, a bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce. The receipt correctly showed my order, yet the only thing I asked for on my burger was missing--no BBQ sauce. It's the same great tasting food you can expect from a Five Guys. If you've never tried it before, you'll love it. It's a bit more expensive than fast food, but not as much as sit down (especially when you add a tip). I had been craving a good, juicy burger for a few weeks so stopped at Five Guys at Noon 4-10-17 after an appointment. What a disappointment. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with mustard and onions and small fries. While the fries were just fine, the burger was flat, about 1/4" thick, and dry as a bone. Absolutely no flavor in the meat. Ordered at this location a couple times over the last month around 7pm. Food and value are awesome but the service is lacking. I tried the online ordering and it estimated a 10 minute wait. I arrived there after 10 minutes and my food hadn't even been started yet. Waited 25 minutes longer for my food. Tried walking in and ordering and it took 45 minutes to get my food. Me and my husband love five guys we went tonight for dinner... I grew up on it in VA were it started i was so looking forward to it opening so close nearby as it has been a family favorite my brother has even worked there for 7 years. We have travelled all over mn to the different five guys. When one open 5 mins away again we were so excited. I ordered the hotdog my husband ordered the buger. Then we split a regular fry. The portions were way smaller then anywhere else we have been for fries and the size of patties. And the fries just had something off to them we could placebit but something was off that they werent as good. But i do recommened five guys they are one of the best hamburger chain there is.
