We went through the drive thru to pick up our two chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. The chicken on both our sandwiches was so dry, which was very disappointing. I remember this location being very good when they first opened years ago so that is unfortunate. The spicy chicken sandwich was so thin too. Update: I haven't worked at Chick-fil-A since summer 2021. I've never worked with or met the manager who responded to this review. What I did do was report here that on Aug 30, 2025 at 2:50 p.m., I watched an employee cough directly into their hand while bagging my food, no gloves, no handwashing. Instead of addressing the concern (which I wasn't expecting in the first place), the manager dug up my job history from 2021 like that magically makes coughing on food acceptable. Rather than fixing a hygiene issue, management chose to dig up records from 2021, when I was a young teenager, to make it personal over a Yelp review. So if we're being personal, Dear Anthony, pleasure to meet you. So sorry we never got the chance to work together. I'm sure you've already got my number on file after digging through the archives, so feel free to give me a call. I'd genuinely love to hear how you decided that an employee coughing on food wasn't worth addressing. read more

THIS IS MY FAVORITE CHICK-FIL-A!!! My husband and I are signature members with Chick-Fil-A and we have been coming to this one for years. We have been to *most* of the CFAs in and around the Twin Cities and this one is my top favorite, followed closely by the CFA in West Saint Paul. This one is typically cleaned well and we have rarely had any issues with our orders. The service is great too and one of the managers always remembers us, which is so nice. Recently, we ate lunch on the outdoor patio and it was great. The food came out hot and quick! The only suggestion I would have if you want to eat outside during the summer is to sit inside first to get your order and then bring it outside. Unfortunately, they don't usually check outside when bringing the orders out. It's a minor inconvenience, but it does come out quick, so you won't be sitting inside for long. We did that recently and it worked well. I also really like the layout of this CFA compared to others. When we sit inside we typically sit in one of the booths by the window. It's a nice view, with good lighting when it's sunny, and you can see the Target across the way. Not every CFA has booths by the windows like this. For example, the one in Eagan mostly has high tops with chairs. They have very few booths and they don't have booths by the windows. This layout at the CFA in Apple Valley is my favorite! Even the one in West Saint Paul doesn't have the booths right up against the windows. So that is another reason why I prefer this CFA! I don't believe you'll be disappointed with this CFA. Ordered meals for my family through the drive thru. Was VERY specific with what sauces and dressings I wanted for our salads and nuggets. Got home and there was none, zero, zilch. Not even salad dressing. Seriously, please verify your orders more than once before handing the food to your good paying customers. It's ridiculous. read more

The service here is amazing! I've mostly gone thru the drive thru and every time I do so, it's been efficient,easy polite service. The menu is easy to read and although a bit pricy for fast food its worth it! The food is very hot and filling. the regular chicken sandwich-the one that started it all, its good and easy to gulp down when hungry the spicy chicken sandwich-a spinoff the regular-this one has an extra kick to it holding true to its name and i prefer this with a side of ranch milkshakes- honestly the best ive ever had! beats restaurant quality too. strawberry is the best flavor IMO salads- can be a bit expensive but very filling and nutritious, the spicy southwest salad with the avocado lime ranch is my fav of all time chicken wraps-this gives the extra carbs and a nice inbetween from a salad and sandwich. doesn't always fill you up tho. very tasty tho! fries- they cook these in peanut oil apparently and so are supposed to be a bit healthier, sometimes they're a hit but more often than not they're not that seasoned and im not a huge fan. ive tasted better make sure to check their facebook page for deals and promos especially during christmas time. download their app as well because they frequently send free items and have offers like mobile mondays read more

Tried to order on the phone. Was hung up on a very rude employee!! Called back and she would not take my order over the phone. Very long lines at the store, but customer's are required to order at the store. For people who don't have cell phones for the app, this is a problem. The first time I had a spicy chicken deluxe with waffle fries I was in Virginia ... I fell in love. When they arrived in MN I only hoped it would be as good as I first remembered. Sure enough they delivered and specifically the apple valley store has been on point ever since. The Burnsville location has had nothing but problems and consistently provides poor service. This Apple valley store seems to be the best in the cities. Keep up the good work and we will keep coming back! read more

I come here with my kids for breakfast mainly and sometimes for dinner when they beg for the play area. The staff are always quick and courteous, the food is always tasty and the quality seems like it is always good. My kids enjoy coming here and so it is a family win for all of us! I've been to a few Chick-fil-a restaurants and never had quite the service of this location! They are very caring and set themselves apart from any other fast food restaurant. We were greeted at the door and immediately helped with our order and then we were helped with refills or sauces during our meal if we needed them. I know it's the small things that make a difference but not many other places go out of their way to help you out like they do. Keep it up! read more

After refusing to take an order over the phone, went to the drive thru and waited about an hour , the order was fulfilled wrong. Vignette dressing was ordered, but Italian was put in the order. The chicken nuggets and tenders were way overcooked. The 2 piece tenders were only 2 and one half, because the box used would not fit 3 pieces . Very sloppy in preparing food and fulfilling orders. Very horrible experience all around. Definitely not a place to get good prepared food. Will not go there again!!!!!!!!!! read more

My mom affectionately referred to this place as Shit-Fil-A back in the day--fifteen or so years ago, to be precise--and I think the moniker is still befitting. I grew up in the south in Virginia. As a southern cracker, I'm able to verify the authenticity of several things including (but not limited to): fried chicken, coleslaw, mint juleps, bourbon, cultural stagnation, red dirt, moonshine, plantations, economic depression, pork rinds and biblical miracles. The first two things on that list are of great pertinence in this review and, without further ado, I will address the two of them with the delicate southern grace they deserve. __________ THIS AINT FUCKIN' AUTHENTIC, YA'LL. But bless you'uns little hearts for tryin'. - The coleslaw done look like a rooster got on one'uh them mowers'n plowed it halfway to th'hen house (translation: It looks like it was run through a food processor on high for thirty minutes). - The chicken tastes like soggy sweet shit (translation: the chicken tastes like soggy sweet shit). __________ The terrible politics of this place aside, I have fond memories of eating at Chick-Fil-A as a kid with my grandma. It was nestled in the food court of a nearly dead mall and, since it was the only thing to do within 300 miles, we went there a lot. I finally bit the 'fuck you, you homophobic chicken fondlers' bullet yesterday and dragged my ass here in search of a nostalgic boost. I don't know. I'm aware that memories haze and tastebuds change, but this was some disappointing-ass eating. I felt compelled to give it three stars for the mere fact that the staff seem really on top of it here. They were wandering around with a giant pepper mill asking everyone if they wanted fresh cracked pepper on their salads, constantly spot cleaning and maintaining an energetic vibe behind the counter. I couldn't be a pointless dick and dock two stars just because it doesn't live up to my whimsical memories but I also couldn't lie and tell you it was five stars -despite- my whimsical memories. The food was legitimately half-assed and underwhelming. Tell your friends. In closing, I really wanted to love this place, but... *drops mic* read more

My 1st time here. I stopped in instead on a sit down place across the street as I was in bit of a hurry. My receipt was rung up at at 230. When 245 showed on my watch I went up to ask about it. Husband came home with our to go order. Epic fail by chick fil a. Ordered a spicy deluxe with American and no pickle. Receipt clearly states that is what was order. I got some grilled chicken thing with no cheese and it is awful! If they were closer I would bring it back. This is now the third time there was a screw up by this restaurant. I honesty can't think of a worse place to eat at. There is absolutely nothing special about this place. The food is tolerable at best. For people who specialize in chucking sandwiches your chicken is just average. It reminds me if something I could get at a gas station. There is just nothing special about this place. I say go to the cub foods that it is in front of and go get frozen chicken patties because the taste is very similar. I say go try it once just to say you have eaten there and for novelty purposes. If you like it that is fantastic and more power to you. Just don't get your hopes up with all the hype because I did and when I ate there I just felt let down and disappointed. Do yourself a favor and just go to KFC. The spices on the breaking make it far better than this place. Don't get me wrong it isn't the worst food I have eaten. When I first tried chick fillet I didn't understand what the big deal was. Then I tried the chicken sandwich with the Chick-fil-A sauce and I understood why it was so addicting. Not to mention the amazing waffle fries that take it to the next level. They also offer very good grilled chicken options. I also wish they had a salsa specifically for chips. Their sauces/salsas are great, but only on food. Not great with chips. Overall - still great. Go eat here. Service is slower than before. Prices have gone up. Wish they had queso and a salsa for chips specifically. Wish I got a full cup of rice when I order a side of rice, considering how expensive the rice is.

Perhaps it is only this location that is so marginal, but it turned me off of Popeyes as a whole for the near future. The service was kind though.

The batter was amazing and it wasn't overly battered. My wife and I both agreed that the halibut is probably not worth the extra cost. When we go again, we will likely just get cod, or maybe walleye. Service was nice. It seems to be a family-owned restaurant and they seem to run it well. Overall, this is really just an amazing place. It is very expensive, but I was expecting that for fish so I was mentally prepared. I believe we spent about $50 for everything, which is definitely a pretty penny, but again we were prepared and knew the halibut was a premium. I would highly recommend checking them out. Another customer waiting on their order mentioned the fish was really good so I was excited to try it for myself. They weren't kidding! It was a very good fish fry. I had the perch dinner which had a delicate yet crunchy batter. The waffle fries were crispy and had a flavorful seasoning. I ordered the MN sauce on the side that is unique and hard to tell what's in it. It's citrusy with a hint of spice. I would skip this sauce and stick to tartar sauce but worth a try if you are looking for something different.
