Ordering was easy online. Everyone working was wearing masks properly which made me feel comfortable and safe. Fries made fresh!

I have been here a few times and every time i come i am never disappointing well this time i was very satisfied, there food was so good and the fries were fresh and made to order. The service was pretty good they were very fast in giving us our food even though the place was pretty busy as it always is specially during lunch time. The place is kept clean and well organized as far as were to get condiments and your soft drink and plenty of places to sit with free peanuts before or after your meal. Definitely gets four stars the only reason i do not give it five stars is because this place is over priced for two people, two fries,two hamburgers and two soft drinks =$22.00 bucks, I know it is located in a "Upscale" area and they probably pay a fortune for rent but they need to lower the prices a bit even though the food is very good and the fries are not as greasy as the ones you find in Mcdonalds. I come to Five Guys when I need a big 'ol, sinfully greasy yet equally delicious burger. Keep in mind, there are no "value meals" here, so everything else you order (fries, drink, etc) is a la carte. The awesome thing about five guys is that all of their toppings are free so you can pile on as many as you want, according to your taste buds, at no additional charge. This place turned me away bc I had a 50$ bill for my 45$ order. I asked where the signs were. Manager said they could not post any signs to inform customers of this and they could only post FiveGuy logo posters. I'm not sure if the owner would be happy about turning away a order this large bc of a change issue. I'm sure it's a case by case circumstance. I understand if I only ordered 1 item but I ordered 4 burgers, 1 large fry and 2 beverages. I will not be returning to this one or any others. Very bad business practice. This place is delish - I normally get the one patty hamburger which then I add on the (free) additions: the basics like mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, ketchup.. and then some others which you don't always find grilled mushrooms, green peppers, jalapeno peppers. For those who don't desire the burger they offer hots dogs, veggie sandwich and grilled cheese but I'm such a carnivore that I cannot resist that juice burger. The little burger is a simple one patty whereas the hamburger is two. The fries which comes in a medium or large (which will feed three!) are yummy. Would you like a burger with those fries? My goodness, the amount of French fries you get at this place. Unbelievable! Haha. They can't give you enough, it seems. Seriously, order anything with fries and then see what your bag is filled with. :) Okay, on to the real assessment. This place is great! I don't really eat red meat anymore, but when I did I loved coming here. You can get just about any topping imaginable on your burgers here. I used to order them all sorts of different ways: one with A-1, onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce ... another with barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard ... I don't know, I just had fun thinking of different ways to get mine. To me, that was half the fun. I see that they have vegetarian options, which is good ... since that doesn't rule me out from going here ever again. Though ... Greatest fast food burger joint in the west. Huge, authentic patty. I always get the works. Free peanuts while you wait, which is great. Friendly staff. Quick orders (burgers are made right in front of you). With all these plusses, you can definitely justify the price (which is just a few more bucks than a big mac). I came on a day that apparently wasn't very busy, and ordered the fries. They said they had a ton, and asked whether I wanted the rest of them since they were just having an off-day - lol. Who would say no? They immediately fries a bunch of potato slices and gave me the whole paper bag of fries haha. I was first introduced to Five Guys when I lived in Washington DC. It quickly became one of my favorite places to eat. The food is fresh, I personally love the bacon cheeseburger, and they give you more than enough fries to fix my craving. The cashier who assisted me was kind, smiley, and attentive. She really helped make the experience wonderful. I expect nothing less. I came with my family during a busy time but our food came out hot and in a timely manner. I am grateful!!! If Bengel owns this one I suggest you take an unannounced visit. One topping maker wipes his nose and eats fries, while complaining how big the line is. Extremely disgusting and health code violations left and right at this store. No one knows how or cares how to make a milkshake. They are disgusting runny milk. This is not worth it. It's been 25 minutes after we placed an order, and 15 minutes after half of the order was completed. I just asked about the second one 5 minutes ago and was told it is still being made. Same thing too, nothing fancy. A burger. :) So I ate mine, and the person with me ate fries. Amazing place if you want to eat alone, annoy your company, and in the process be annoyed yourself. Update: finally asked the manager for a refund for the sandwich that was not made. I love a good burger! I do not love Five Guys' burgers. I had heard so much talk about this place, and then my husband and the boys came home raving about it after lunch one day so needless to say, I tried it. Ewwww. Talk about a greasy joint. The greasy burgers is actually what my husband loves about the place. That and the fries that come in paper bags that are slick from all the oil. Uh, not my idea of yumminess! For me the negatives are the overly greasy food, it's pricey and the nightmarish parking lot (not their fault). The positives ... sweet tea, the food is fresh (I'll give it that), free peanuts ( this is what I eat while the boys chow down), and Dwight Howard's appearances! It may be that Five Guys was talked up so much that by the time I got there, I was expecting edible diamonds and platinum. My experience at Five Guys, however, was more like visiting a kids cooking camp. I'd give it another shot just based on the reviews of others, but for now, my vote is pass on this and go to Backyard Burger. A few reasons: 1- They didn't have ranch dressing. Ranch is a MUST. The fact that they looked at me like I had 12 heads when I asked was a bit absurd. 2- My first, and only time there, I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Apparently a cheeseburger really meant two, so when I realized that I asked to change my order. That involved getting the manager. 3- The manager was a jerk! I think he actually referenced having 12 heads for my lack of knowledge on Five Guys burger terminology. It took about 5-10 minutes for him to agree to cancel my order, which involved several credit card swipes, placing a new order from the beginning, and piercing glares from all of the counter employees. 4- The burger sucked! Maybe they were having a bad day. Maybe they threw mine on the floor (KIDDING) for the travesty that was changing my order, but it tasted terrible. 5- I ordered regular fries but the seasoning was so hot I thought I'd have to call the fire department. It seems like I'm the only one in the world, from what I can tell so far, who actually dislikes Five Guys. Props to you all for putting up with it, I am not a fan. read more

Ya know - I don't usually review chains and corporations. But Five Guys,... ohhhhhh Five Guys. I just wanted to say "Thank You." Your little cheeseburger with extra pickles, mustard, mayo, ketchup, and sauteed mushrooms has gotten me through COUNTLESS hungover mornings (and by mornings, I mean 4pm on Sunday.) I call my order in, wait 10 minutes, put on sunglasses, grab a friend and try not to scare the children and families as I breeze past them all in line to grab my brown paper bag full of delicious grease, and of course a giant cup for sweet tea. But I was on a bank run with a friend and we were trying to get in a quick lunch, and this place was right next to the bank, so we stuck our heads in to see if there would be anything I could eat without having to get back in the car. And, surprise! The 12- or 14-item menu actually included three veggie selections - Veggie Sandwich, Veggie Cheese Sandwich, and Grilled Cheese! I can't really add much to Shaun's thorough review, other than one large order of French fries is enough for three people, and they offer brewed sweet and unsweet tea, instead of the typical soda fountain crap. Craving a burger and Five Guys was the closest/best option when you just want a quick burger (that isn't fast food). It took awhile for us to be recognized as customers and have our order taken. Then when we proceeded to find a clean table, we gave up and cleaned our own. There was food and/or trash on all tables and all over the floor. It was about 4:30pm on a Friday and only two other tables filled with customers, no one else in line after us. However, the entire time we were there no one cleaned up anything in the customer area. The bacon was burnt to a crisp. On the bright side - the rest of the burger was good and the fries were piping hot and tasty. For those with a lighter appetite their burgers can be ordered in a "little" version which comes as a single patty instead of the double stack. Consider saving room for some of the delicious fries served either regular or with a Cajun seasoning. While the claim to fame is certainly the burgers, the menu offers a few other choices such as hotdogs (cheese and bacon optional) and grilled cheese. As if the place couldn't get any better, peanuts in the shell are complimentary while you wait and they serve Coca-Cola products to wash it all down. In theory, I love Five Guys but the reality is that I kind of don't. To clarify, what burger fan can say no to a big juicy burger delivered on a toasty bun with really good french fries? Done and done-now what...There is nothing else to grab onto to keep me coming back unless someone asks me to go there with them. The burger variety isn't as great as many other places..especially the newer breed of upscale gourmet-style burger facilities. The prices always seem to be more expensive than you would think-probably because the fries come in a way too large portion and are priced accordingly. The ambiance doesn't lend itself to sitting down and enjoying your burger. Everything about being here is rushed and chaotic. Arguably, the store is way too small as seating is very limited for the crowd that is usually here. Even though my burger and fries have always been tasty enough I feel perturbed every time I come here. Frankly, nowadays, I can get a similarly good burger at Wendy's if I want something close or quick...or I can go a little more upscale and get way more variety at a gourmet burger shop such as Pine 22 if I want to sit and take my time. Let me start by saying I love Five Guys. The burgers are great, the fries are awesome. I LOVE THEIR ICED TEA. I'm a snobby iced tea drinker and I REALLY REALLY REALLY love it. That being said, here's what I don't like about Five Guys. First of all, the burgers (although tasty) are always greasy. I understand a certain amount of grease is normal but I usually need two or three napkins to keep my hands clean. Wtf. Second, the portions are WAY too big. My stomach is not that big and I always feel like I have to cut my sandwich in half and take it home. Don't get my started on the fries. I don't eat meat, and I barely eat "fast food." So what was I doing at Five Guys, you ask? Well, I was in town visiting my pregnant friend and her family so I went wherever they took me. I actually like the grilled cheese from here though, I just don't like paying so much for it. Everything here is a little expensive, and they definitely get you by pricing everything separately instead of having any meals. But I guess it kind of makes up for it when you get your bag of fries.. I definitely recommend getting regular fries and sharing between at least two people. The first time (different location) we waited a whole hour past when it was supposed to be ready! Today, at this location, we waited 30 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready. I wasn't sure if I should rate 3 or 4 stars. The burgers are okay. but a little on the soggy side. Although that could be because we've been getting take out the last couple times. so a warm burger wrapped in foil may be the cause of that. To top it off the burgers make me nauseous a couple hours after I eat them. I dont eat here much but the last couple times this has happened. its possible im just not used to eating greasy food often. there was a time I could eat McDonalds several times a week. now just the thought of a burger from there sickens me. the cajun frys are awesome though. the staff is friendly. so all in all. if your looking for decent food, 5 guys should do just fine. read more
