Went here after a lunch in the area and wow! It's definitely small but mighty with only a window and one employee but their cronuts taste otherworldly! I got the cinnamon cream cheese this time and half of it was the perfect treat to end my lunch. The parking from the closest garage is validated upon request!
Stopped by for just a quick look, then decided on the Boston cream and S'mores donuts. Really outstanding flavor; the marshmallow was perfect, the Boston cream filled the entire massive donut and the chocolate on both was delicious. To top it off, the young lady working the kiosk was so bright and cheery, she made our morning.
I've had Five Daughter's before and am always impressed by their tasty donuts! I got one cinnamon crispy crunch and it was exactly that! Love the layers on the donut, the crispy crumble on top and the sweetness! Definitely recommend if you're a donut lover like me!
I got my first taste of Five Daughters a few years ago around Christmas time at their East Nashville location. My husband and the friends we were with ordered a bunch of different flavors to taste, and we loved pretty much everything--of course with a few favorites that stood out. So, when we found out they were opening a couple of Atlanta locations, we were definitely looking forward to it! We've been to this one many times since they initially opened, and I have to say that we keep coming back whenever we're in the area and pass by because the donuts are decent. But there's just something about these that don't seem to be as good as what we had in Nashville. Flavors tend to sell out quickly, and it seems like the donuts are a little dry if you don't come earlier in the day, especially when it's cold outside. But we also fully acknowledge that this is a walk-up window and the donuts are delivered here from their local kitchen, so we kind of know what to expect with that model as well. Anyway, can't go wrong with the Purist donut, whether the vegan or non-vegan option. The employees are typically kind and helpful if you have questions about flavors. Overall, great business. Also, love the scripture reference on the packaging as well.
VEGAN REVIEW Yay! Happy they have vegan options. Saturday about 2pm they still had 4 flavor options (I hear they sell out). Pro tip: the vegan options are on the lower shelf & have the lavender label. They don't say vegan in the name, but if you read the fine print it says "made with vegan ingredients" below-- you might miss it if you don't look carefully! We got the apple fritter & birthday cake. Fritter was very yeasty (not sure exactly how to describe)-- not dense with the crispy outer crust of a traditional fritter & no glaze. There was only 1 chunk of apple. So that was a bummer. It turns out the birthday cake donut is NOT vegan because the sprinkles have beetle in the dye. Also a bummer. Will try the other vegan flavors when I am in ATL again & update my review! Again, I am SO GRATEFUL they have vegan options... these were not awesome, but I want to try the others The line can be long but it does go fast & the staff are super friendly- not stressed out & crabby
A friend told me that her favorite donut spot is Five Daughters so I had to check it out. The website notes that they sell croissant style hundred layer donuts. It also notes that the croissant donuts are made fresh every day. This shop is located in Westside Provision. If you see flower child, you need to walk to the stairs in the area and you should run into it on your left. If you are only visiting this spot, there are several 10 min parking spots in front of the shop. I arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing today (Saturday). There were plenty of options to pick from. I ended up going for the chocolate eclair flavor. I opted to eat this in my car. First bite- uhmmmm- I don't get the hype. Second bite- it's dry. Third bite- croissant? Donut? I don't know! Overall the croissant donut was just ok in my book. I honestly would not have to have another one. Now, I must say that my taste buds may just be off because this place has rave reviews. As such, I would recommend giving them a try and judging for yourself! Last, but not least, I do want to mention that the service was an A plus plus!
Many highly touted donut shops have been disappointing me lately. Their instagrammable donuts are works of art, but turn out to be excessively doughy, dry, and devoid of enough filling. But I'm happy to say that FIVE DAUGHTERS breaks this trend! Their donuts are delicious! They basically serve multi-textured hybrid "cronuts" that are extremely flaky, light, fresh, and very flavorful. We very much enjoyed the Maple Glaze, Hot Chocolate, White Chocolate Raspberry, Cinnamon Cream Cheese, and Purist flavors. The Maple Glaze is the absolute winner; highly recommended! We were only disappointed with their Boston Cream donut (way too doughy, not enough vanilla custard filling). We'll be coming back very soon!
So glad we stumbled onto this place. It was late in the day but the selection was still good. It's a walk up and while they do have seats in the area on a cool windy day it's not warmer in the vestibule where it's located, just as an fyi. I ordered the lemon strawberry jam donut and it was potentially the best donut I have ever had. I would make a stop here the next time I'm in town!
I absolutely loooove Five Daughters! They have elevated the Cronut dessert to something delectable and visually appealing. I've ordered several of their croissant style donuts and enjoy all of them. My favorite is probably the King Kong, which has a maple syrup topping with pieces of bacon and a light cream filling.
This is a cute little place... you can't even go inside. They have many options of donuts, hundred layer donuts, and a few cookies. Before I visited Atlanta, my friend told me that I should try Five Daughters out, and I'm glad she did! 100% would go again.
Delicious!! These are expensive donuts but man they are worth it. High quality ingredients. Interesting flavors. Delicious flavors. Great customer service. The quinnammon is amazing The raspberry filled was SO filled with amazing fresh raspberry jam. The donuts aren't overly sweet and they use salt which most places lack salt but these are perfect.
I love their cronuts! So freaking good! Flaky not overly sweet. Perfect dessert bite! If you're ever in the area definitely check them out!
Lemon icebox, Birthday Cake Purist, berry crisp.... 100 layer donuts... I don't think there's anything else to say. If you're in the area, make it a MUST to try!
A wonderfully delicious addition to the Westside Provisions District! This new outpost of Nashville's Five Daughters Bakery is located in the breezeway right by Room & Board, and the eye-catching display of their signature Hundred Layer Doughnuts will entice any and all lovers of baked delights. Their Hundred Layer Doughnuts are Five Daughter's take on the cronut - but this creation far surpasses any cronut I've ever had, served without the pretense of the original SoHo version. This morning, it was the Cowboy Cookie for me - a doughnut dunked in a cold brew glaze and covered with oats, pretzels, chocolate, and brown sugar. This doughnut should be its own food group! They have standard 'staple flavors' and flavor that rotate monthly, so you're sure to find something to your liking. For those of you on a gluten-free diet, fear not, as a selection of paleo flavors are also on offer. My friend and I split an Orange Honey Pistachio doughnut topped with a whipped vanilla crème that made for a surprisingly good sweet treat. The young lady behind the counter was absolutely delightful, and there's a couple of tables in the breezeway where you can hang out and do some people-watching. We also took a selection with us as a sweet surprise for some friends we were visiting later in the day, and the doughnuts were a big hit indeed. This bakery should be on everyone's to-do list when visiting this new and growing part of Atlanta! read more

Mmmmmmmmm, doughnuts (Homer Simpson voice)! OK, now that I have got that out the way, I want to say these doughnuts are legit, I don't like the term artisanal but this is what they are. They are like Sublime Doughnut's mature, well traveled cousin! I sued Sublime because I really like their doughnuts. Five Daughters creates a dense, yet airy combination of doughnut goodness. Not to cloyingly sweet but just enough to hit the spot. A bit pricey but if you are going to splurge on a doughnut, it is well worth it! I got the huckleberry and vanilla cream. The huckleberry was OK, not great but pretty good. The vanilla cream was on point with the flavor profile that it was built on! I almost passed on this place because my wofe and I were headed to dinner and then I realized I could BUY the doughnut and EAT it later! read more
Five Daughters is based out of Nashville and has several retail locations across the region, including this one in Westside Provisions (newly opened) and the one in Ponce City Market in Atlanta. Having heard about their famous 100 Layer Doughnut and drooling at the thought of it, I had to try it. Once there, I quickly found it in the breezeway next to Room & Board. The lady working there wasn't friendly at all and hardly said anything throughout my transaction. No "hello", "how are you", "what can I get you?", just impersonal. Being a lover of all things bacon, I went for their King Kong doughnut, which had a partial cream filling, maple glaze, and several pieces of bacon on top. When I bit into it, it was just as flaky and flavorful as I had imagined it would be. The sweetness of the doughnut and the saltiness of the bacon went together perfectly to produce a complex yet delicious taste. The doughnut did come with a nearly $5 price tag, but is bigger than your average and is worth a try, if nothing else, for the experience. The next time I come back though (my family has already requested that I bring them some), I just hope that the service is a little more friendly. read more

I love the donuts here! They are very unique. I ordered the maple doughnut which has a very sweet icing on top filled with vanilla cream. The vanilla cream has no taste in particular, not sweet. This donut can be paired with a great latte with no sugar. I also ordered the dipped cone donut which had vanilla cream on top dipped in chocolate, no filling. The taste was bland since the vanilla cream has no flavor. But it does have sugar around it which helps. read more

This place did not disappoint!! I wasn't expecting the ordering process to be so quick but it is essentially just a window in a wall where you walk up and order! The outdoor space of the building had plenty of tables to enjoy the goodies at!!! 10/10 will return. The vegan options were incredible & supporting a small business was even better read more
I didn't think I would like the donut but they were amazing! I would hate to see the calorie count!! The King Kong was gone before I took a picture ...the maple bacon on top was delicious as well as the filling. The strawberry lemonade well I was almost licking the container after I ate it all ....I loved it!!! I definitely will be back for more read more

These doughnuts were awesome! The location is under a tunnel on a little bridge thing in the shopping center (we were confused looking for it at first). They are definitely pricey for what they are, especially if you're getting a large quantity, but the doughnuts themselves were exceptional. The cronut-style ones were my favorite. They have basic and unique flavors, but they are all tasty. Would definitely come here again. read more

So I've been craving a good cronut for months and I live in NC. This weekend, I was in town for an event in ATL. On the way out of the city, I stopped at the Five Daughters location at Howell Mill Rd and wasn't disappointed!! I had the King Kong, Vanilla Creme, Pineapple Whip, Raspberry Pop, and a mini Purist...I'm a believer!! Now, is there a way for me to order and have some shipped to NC!! Please let me know!! read more

Cute little donut shop in an inconvenient spot! Parking can be scarce and it is located on the upper level of a shopping plaza. This makes it inconvenient for anyone looking to drive through or make a quick stop before work. This didn't effect me at all because we were just tourists making our way through all of the places we had bookmarked to visit! This is food-truck style, so there's no restaurant or place to sit, save for a couple chairs nearby. Better to grab these to go! Vegan, gluten-free and paleo options. We stuck to the original donuts. These average $4.50 each, but they are double the size of a standard donut! The texture was amazing and the flavor was great. We bought a lot and they were still fresh two days later. I wish we lived closer! read more

This is a small "grab and go" style shop in the breezeway at Westside Provisions. It could be easily missed if you didn't know where to go, but it's a great little doughnut shop. The selection is made offsite so it's an "until sold out" situation so be sure to get there early for best selection. I had a maple covered doughnut. It was a cronut style with cinnamon sugar on the outside and a vanilla cream inside. The maple flavor was very light. The employee on site was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions. I definitely recommend grabbing something as you walk by. read more
Very cute little donut shop inside of Westside Provisions. It can be a little confusing to get to if you don't know where it is but, just follow the signs. I ordered the Chocolate Sea Salt and it was delicious! Absolutely no complaints. I can't wait to come back and order more flavors. read more
I really thought these were tasty! They are huge (and kinda pricey) but worth it. I love trying new places. :) I can't remember the names of the donuts we tried but two people couldn't finish them in one sitting. Staff was friendly. I thought the location was a bit hard to find. Go up the stairs near Room and Board. Free parking long enough to grab what you need read more

Heard about this place from a from who boasted on how great it was. So I ordered 4 online for curbside pickup. After my first bite of the carrot cake I was instantly hooked. The inside of the donut is the shocker. It had many layers unlike a traditional donut and eating it was a new experience. Never had anything close to this before. The flavor combinations of each donut was delicious. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu. read more

The flavor of the cronut is great, the only thing for me is that my Cronut was very cold. It would be a 5/5 for me if they were made fresh throughout the day. read more
i have only ever been to five daughters when they had it in seaside, but i'm so glad to know there is one down the street for me! located in one of the alleyways of westside provisions and easy to park and get your destination. i always enjoy the different flavors and the seasonal ones. the peppermint bark was fun and and the boston creme pie was creamy and delicious. i usually love to get the chocolate sea salt, but tried something different. a little expensive but totally understandable for the quality and variety of donuts you're getting and worth it in my opinion! it's my favorite place to take visitors because it's easy and delicious and super cute. read more

Stopped by here on my yearly visit back home to ATL since I live in NYC now and it was probably one of the best donuts I've ever had. We usually settle for Sublime since it's also close by but these cronuts make sublime look like a joke (still love sublime though, don't worry). The donut was soft with the perfect amount of filling and frosting. We got the almond joyfulness. 100% recommend. read more
