It comes down to appearance, taste, texture (love a good bite; should not be mealy), chew, and substance. I'm pleased to report that Saint Germain satisfied my sweet (French) tooth. After the sampler, I was done desserting. Yep, sampler. Why settle for one flavor when you can try them all? Well, six. Six. I tried six. And each one was excellent. The staffer was patient and helpful in leading me to a mix that would satisfy my desire to be a bit broad in my tastes but never traveling too far from sweet. Savory is not the move when it comes to these treats. My journey to France by way of Atlanta started with chocolate then went to raspberry violette (what???) then I went to the circus with cotton candy. I got a bit traditional with salted caramel, stayed there with nutella and finished up with creme brulee. When I tell you each macaron was better than the first... wow. You definitely get what you pay for -- so this wouldn't be an everyday splurge but... when you get a hankering pay for the real deal. Your tastebuds will thank you. If you're gonna go, go all in. Next time I'll venture past the macarons... but not too far.

We ordered a shot of espresso and a jasmine tea. The espresso was strong and nice, but to our surprise the jasmine tea was literally a jasmine tea bag. We were expecting brewed tea and not just a tea bag especially for the price, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. We also ordered the peach tart which was delicious! It had a decent peach flavor to it and the top part of the peach had an ice cream texture to it. Would recommend ordering one of their pastries! Service was decent. We received our orders quickly. There is plenty of seating near the cafe and throughout the hall. There is also parking in a big lot connected to the hall.

For context, this is my friend whom I used to regularly bakery, hop with...so he was convinced based on my comment that he should try cookies from Sugar Shane's after our lunch. By the time we'd eaten, I'd forgotten about the cookies, but my friend did not. So we went by Sugar Shane's and he bought himself a cookie. This was my first time at this Sugar Shane's location, as I have only been to the midtown location. I learned from the guy who was working that the cookies here are baked and transported from the Midtown location. That said, I found the selection to be lacking given that there are always so many delectable options at the Midtown location. For example, there were none of the thick/tall cookies that I think of as being signature to Sugar Shane's. There were also no other dessert options than the few cookies in stock. As far as Sugar Shane's goes, I'd recommend a trip to the midtown location or possibly stopping by this location earlier in the day when the selection may be larger.

The hot dog cheese was a cheesy bun filled with sliced hot dog pieces. It was fluffy and flavorful as was the curry chicken bun. A perfectly flaky and buttery crust, and a not too sweet velvety smooth custard. The staff was friendly. A casual cafe where you pick your wanted baked goods from the cases. If you want to heat up your buns (which I highly recommend you do, especially with the savory buns), the staff will hand you a plate, and you heat it up in the microwave next to the napkins & utensils. If I have time, I'll grab my food and sit outside to eat, but it works just as well when I need to grab something and go. The bakery selection is always tempting, so it's rare that I leave without a pastry, cookie, or something sweet. We got a strawberry shortcake doughnut and a glazed doughnut. Both were fresh, delicious and super soft. I enjoyed both, but I also did really appreciate that the glazed doughnut was much bigger and had visible vanilla caviar in the glaze. YUM! We ate our doughnuts almost as quickly as it was to pop in and order them. I would definitely come back.
