When I first walked in the store, I was a little put off because I thought it was just a fruit…read moremarket. To my pleasant surprise, there was a lot of different things that you could buy there, and it saved me from going to the supermarket. Some things are overpriced such as minced garlic from Goya. They wanted almost 7 dollars for it, but the vegetables were priced low and they looked good even though there wasn't a huge selection like but that was just because my expectation was that it was just a fruit vegetable market. Apparently this store has changed hands since the last time I went there. I was excited at the prospect of being able to go here and shop locally for small business owners and with it being less than a half a mile away from my mom's house my goal was to go there and get lettuce, but I wind up getting a number of things That I needed from the supermarket and so when I left there, I felt satisfied. When I got home, there was a whole different story. I bought red leaf lettuce, which was rotten to the core on the inside. I had to throw it out. I also bought Romain lettuce, which was mostly the darker green leaves and less of the crisp part of the lettuce, which disappointed me a little, but I figured I could still make do I washed and cut up the lettuce and I used the pre-cut onions, celery, and carrots that I bought also from this fruit market. And I made my salad. When I was eating it, I didn't really notice anything except that the leaves were not really what I like. I don't love all Bert green leaves found at the top. But whatever. I ate it. An hour later and for five hours more, I was sick as a dog. I had to take two different stomach medicines, and Tums because something in that salad did not agree with me and then I start freaking out because the first one that I threw away was rotten so it made me feel like this lettuce wasn't that fresh or maybe it was the pre-chopped onion, celery or carrots. All I know is that I almost called out of work today. Luckily, I felt better when I got up, even though I have still have a little bit of a stomachache I called them this morning and told them that the red leaf lettuce is rotten and they need to take it off the shelves and I told the lady that I was really sick last night. She was so nonchalant about it and said OK and we hung up. I don't love that. She should've said come and get a different head of lettuce, but she didn't offer anything. And therefore, I waited till I got home from work to write this review. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here again. I usually go to Rahway Farmers Market and I don't think I've ever had this issue. I didn't take a picture of it, but I should have. Because when I tell you that the red leaf lettuce head was slimy and rotten on the inside to the point that it should've never been put on the shelf.

The store had just opened so I was one of the first ones to get their juice. I saw that the man was not wearing gloves but didn't care much at this point since he was just cleaning up from last pour. Next he started the machine to rinse it out with wayer, without wearing gloves. Basically using his bare hands to clean the machine. He proceeded to stick his finger in the spout where the juice comes out from. He started cutting the lime and ginger without his gloves. At this point I lost my appetite because his nails were long and he had accidentally cut part of his nail off, pulled it off and threw it somewhere. I was so grossed out that I walked back in the store and asked for the refund. I let the cashier know what happened and nobody seemed to care. Awfully disappointed and disgusted. Again this review is just for the fresh juice station outside. This is how people get sick.

Wegmans is the kind of grocery store I truly look forward to visiting. What I love about Wegmans is…read morethat they have some unique and delicious offerings, specifically within their bakery. The cheese bread is so soft and yummy. I also love their mousse cake, eclairs, and chocolate teacups. Most grocery stores don't have a bakery with high quality desserts like these. In the frozen section, they also carry my favorite ice cream, which no other retailer carries at the moment. I will say, some of the ready-to-eat options are not the best. The sushi is still grocery store sushi and by no means exceeds expectations. I often pick up a hot sub, which also isn't the best I've had, but it does the trick. When I do need to order things at one of these stations, the service here is really nice. Wegmans also has a pretty nice seating area if you're stopping in for a meal. Wegmans is truly a dream grocery store.

Had a lot of name brands, like London Fog, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, which were heavily discounted from $150/120 to $60 for example. Lines did appear to be long but they did not wrap around throughout the aisles or anything like that. But be prepared to wait, especially during a holiday weekend/weekend. Had a large parking lot, but have to drive carefully as they were doing a ton of construction and it just looked confusing to get to. Would come back, but must have patience to really browse for something good. Just like any other good deal/find, you have to put in the time.
