Turlock, CA: this store has really "cool" junk that's addictive and eye catching, but like every dollar store, they have their downsides. I went yesterday and was in the "Five Beyond" area, and their was a piece of pink gum near the pin art and fidgets. so gross; probably not the workers but still gross. anyway, the service when I went in July was not the best. a lady whose name I forgot was rude to an elder telling her if she sat somewhere it might break, which it didn't look like it would. they then sold HUGE BAGS , no other size. weird. but I've also had great experiences at five below. At first, when saw the name "Five Below", I thought this was a food place like "Five Guys" burger joint. To my surprise, it was a discount store like Dollar Tree or 99 Cents Only, except this is "Five" for $5 or below. On the contrary, while I am expecting everything should all be $5 or under, it's actually NOT true. There are some items way above $5, more like 10-15$...so I guess to call it "Five BELOW" can be misleading, similar to Dollar Tree or 99 Cents Only that not everything is $1 or 99 cents... After browsing around inside the store a bit out of curiosity, I couldn't really find anything of my interest. The store seems clean and organized, and the staffs seem okay, but no particularly items for $5 (+|-) really caught my attention. Maybe, that's why I don't usually see many shoppers go there (nothing much caught their attention as well?). Guess I will stick to Dollar Tree or 99 Cents Only stores. read more

Five Below - Discount Store Near Me - Turlock, California

Took my daughter to 5 below. Let's get this perfectly clear, the items are not all $5 dollars and below. My kid had a blast grabbing toys, candies and little girlie stuff like earrings and scrunchies. One thing that was disappointing was the fact there were quite a few items without a price tag. Plus some items can be deceptive. Look at the slime picture. Would you think it's full? Well it's not. There are some cool electronic stuff like phone chargers that won't break the bank. I would ALWAYS come to this store to bring my 3 yr old. Today I bought 4 items & paid $20. Worker named Armando stopped me & asked me if I paid as I was heading out?? Confused and said yes & he says " are you sure" & looking at me as if I'm stealing... as I'm showing him my receipt & just turns around? Doesn't even say sorry or anything. Sooo rude & have never had a problem until now. Not coming back, an experience like this ruins it all for me in coming back. read more

I have been to quite a few five below locations, but this location always has the greatest selection of merchandise in my opinion. Many locations are often times sold out of hard to find or popular items but at this location I always seem to find some good stuff. read more

I went for what was supposed to be a big "squishmallow release event" on August 1st. We got there an hour early and we were about 30 people deep in line. A very rude girl coming in for her shift says "just so you know i only have 30 squishmallows so you guys probably won't get any and we wont be getting more in" her tone was very snotty. Then once in the store a lady came up to ask her when the restock would be and she again rudely said "I dont control the order I am pretty sure we will not be getting more for a long while." If you dont wanna work customer service then go somewhere else and stop being rude to people! I wish I got her name! read more

They aggressively run after you to put a mask on, store looks messy and the employees stand around chatting with each other instead of cleaning the store/asking if anyone needed help. When checking out the employee came over to the pin pad and hit a button while I was trying to pay....Come to find out, it was a survey for the store, who does that?! At least let me know there is a survey coming up so I can give a PROPER rating and not one the EMPLOYEE is forcing on me. read more

Horribly Rude Staff. Walked in fine and was browsing around the store with my mom then head one of the girls shouting from literally across half the store to pull my mask up. I understand the rules and have no problem following them, I had just pulled it down bc I was short of breath for a second. However it was very embarrassing and not one but THREE of the cashiers were staring at me as if waiting for a response. I was only able to catch one of their names as I walked out and believe it was Stephanie. Those 3 girls did move from their little group in the front for about 25 minutes and the floors were an absolute disaster. They also wished me a nice day VERY sarcastically and all watched me as I walked out, super uncomfortable. Regarding the mess, it was terrible around the keychains & books and SugarRush.. this was at 1pm on Thursday 11/07 I had been in 3-4 times before and always get great buys, so disappointed by the staff. read more
