Stop by this mall with my Lady while visiting Jacksonville Easter weekend. She wanted to get her…read morenails done at a spot recommended to her from a friend who used to live here, so we decided to stop in. The nail shop review is under a separate review. But overall, this mall has definitely seen better days. While the exterior doesn't necessarily reveal the level of aging, when you get inside the mall you noticed pretty quickly but this mall is likely on it's downturn. There are several closed, or seemingly closed stores, and most of the traffic seems relegated to a couple of the larger department stores like H&M and Belk. A lot of empty kiosks in the middle of the walkway with the rest of them being occupied by local vendors that didn't seem to be getting much business at all. And if teenagers are still headed to malls on Saturday's to hang out, this is clearly not the mall that most of the local teenagers here hang out in as the traffic was surprisingly light for a Saturday - I just realized that may appeal to certain readers of this review. Lol. Anyway, unless you are visiting a specific store in this mall as a destination, I would probably suggest finding one of Jacksonvilles bigger malls for a true mall experience.

This past July I made another Purchase and the system had a glitch. Can you believe I was charged 75.00 but never received my merchandise? I kept going back into the store to show the transaction was processed and posted and I still didn't get my items the manager Joshua uttered something in Spanish as I go I didn't understand. Super unprofessional as well as the manager Karen another rude lady. She promised to keep my items that were ALREADY PAID FOR IN HER OFFICE AND THEY STILL HAD THE AUDACITY TO PUT ALL THE ITEMS THAT DID NOT BELLNG TO THEM BACK ON THE FLOOR FOR SALE. One of the first businesses to catch our eye was the Insomnia Cookies! Soupa Noodle Bar anchored the Northern end of the plaza and Class UFC Gym is at the South end. In between is an assortment of businesses including Senor Loco Taco, Kazu Sushi Burrito, Niore Nail Bar and Pizza Hut. We were just reading an article about Pizza Hut closing a bunch of locations- I wonder if this one will survive the cut. Because this little plaza was built in a large parking lot in front of the movie theater- there is an abundance of parking. There is some cross cutting traffic because of the location.... I may be guilty of that myself- especially right now with the movie theater closed. This little plaza packs a punch with food- and is a good addition the the Tinseltown area. I've been wearing clothing from both over the last 4-5 years in shirts and trousers and just find them to be the best for my daily casual wear. 5.11 Tactical offers great looking clothing that fits the needs of law enforcement, first responders, and perhaps in some cases, military personnel. I find their pants and shirts comfortable, with stretch material that gives breathing room as you wear them. I especially like the various types of trousers they offer as they have multiple pocket sets (in some cases even pockets within pockets) because it gives me the space to put some small camera gear when I'm out on YouTube video shoots or doing photography for myself or my channel. Now, you won't find suits for church here but I will say their pants and shirts are certainly good enough to wear when you attend church! It's my type of wear weekly. As for value, note that 5.11 is a specialty store, which means you will pay oftentimes above what you may expect. This shop does not offer military discounts, BUT I will say that you can find great deals when they have clearance sales. I left with a bundle during my visit. Also, if you are military, you can get 5.11 Tactical apparel at the Navy Exchanges at 20 percent off or on special occasions at 40 percent off. That is to say, there are still good ways to get deals on 5.11 clothing - it's how I purchase all of mine. In addition to shirts, trousers, and shorts, you can find excellent boots and reinforced shoes designed for law enforcement and first responders here. I'd like to get a pair for trail walking - I may do that soon! The service from the employees here on this day was excellent! They took time to answer all my questions and really believe in the product they sell. So stop by 5.11 Tactical and see what you think! Hard to believe if you can't find something you like here! The store pretty frequently has unfinished cups and opened food wrappers amongst the merchandise, and the selection of items seems smaller (or maybe they just run out of stock more?) than other Targets in the area. The store layout also feels more cramped, which is odd considering it seems like a pretty large store footprint. Checkout is one of the biggest reasons I try to avoid coming here. The self checkout line is almost always long, frequently with at least 7-8 people/groups waiting. This is always while multiple register lanes are unstaffed. On the plus side? Whenever I do a pickup order, the folks are always friendly.

But I hope to go pick up that awesome John Denver t-shirt that's seen in the display window in one of my photos! But I do like what they have to offer men. The shirts and jeans they offer are truly set for solid street wear. I may adjust from some of my 511 wear and pick up some of these! But in reality, Urban Outfitters is really more focused on appealing to females, with a very large selection for them. I'd say about nearly three quarters of the store is devoted to them. My dearest likes to check things out here on occasion and found something she liked a few months back. Overall, there are jeans, dresses, various accessories of all kinds, belts, hats, all waiting for customers to purchase. I've experienced chatting with the crew who run the shop on occasion and they're generally enthusiastic and willing to assist and see that you get a good deal if one's available.
