Our experience with Belle Decor Design Group was very disappointing. It ended very badly with them…read morewalking off the job without finishing. Every time we brought up an issue it was made to be personal and we were always told wait until the project is done and it will be fine. I realize we were demanding, but this project was very important to us and as the project progressed we had reason to be concerned. We realize the owner had a family crisis and we had stressed to her that if she needed to delay for a while we would understand. When the lead worker said he was finished and would be back during the next week to install mirrors and vanity doors we asked him about some areas that did not look right. He said we should submit a punch list for them to review. We sent the punch list to the owner and asked her to come out and look at the items with us. We told her that it was necessary in order for her to plan for materials and labor required to complete the project. She refused and chose instead to no longer honor her contract and to walk away from our project. Here are a few items that are on the punch list. 1. The shower floor drain is improperly installed and is a cut hazard for your feet. 2. The area under the shower entry threshold was not grouted or sealed and water will flow under the threshold to the floor. 3. Three of the side splashes on the vanity tops are installed upside down. We have no doubt that they may do better work on other projects but if you pick them you should ensure that you have regular walk throughs with the owner to ensure they are providing quality throughout the project. Some things are easier to correct sooner rather than later.
