Christmas shopping 2024 made so easy by TJ Maxx. I am a one store and done type of a guy. This year my store was TJ Maxx. Long lines no problem. I had plenty of time. I previewed items the day before but the items I saw were gone. The store is small enough to not seem suffocated. There are a lot of cut odds and ends. T J Maxx - The end of the road - Discount Store Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

I go there on my lunch hour - The wait in line is insane - Last Time and final time I went the Store Manager was standing at the front just watching the line grow - After about 15-20 minutes he called an additional cashier. However, the cashiers always want to make small talk with customers and it takes forever to check out one customer with one item. The conversation is usually about personal matters. After waiting in line for over 20 minutes, I ended up leaving and not purchasing a single item in my basket. One item had no price so they had to send someone on a goose chase to get pricing. Don't have all afternoon to wait. Also - every single visit - you get this run down - Do you have our credit card, would you like to apply for our credit card, you can save money today. This store needs some personnel training. read more

Lorraine is a jerk. She's constantly rude to customers and treats her employees like they're stupid. And for some reason she really seems to either not like old people or white people. Normally I would NEVER make that assumption, but seeing how she treated my 68 yr old mother vs the black guy I can only assume it's one of the two. That or she hates women in general she was mistreating was young employee as well. Either way, she's not a nice woman. When you speak to her she acts like you've inconvenienced her, and she's the MANAGER. I won't shop at this store again. Beals is next door and sells almost the same stuff. read more

Oh the days of aimlessly walking around a store post mask days. TJMaxx has always been gem in my eyes when it comes to bargaining shopping. I'll never take this place for granted lol. From the home goods to clothes, there is something for everyone. I can spend hours in the store. I slowly move my way through each department buying products I probably don't need, but man do those good endorphins start running when you place those things in the cart. Also to mention, this store is very organized compared some of the other stores similar to it. This is very big to me because I hate digging in clutter. So, for my budget TJ Maxx is a bit out of my price range for things like kitchenware, shoes, handbags and clothes but I do get tempted by their jewelry occasionally (their selections are beautiful and are very nice). I have found some beautiful sets that were at an amazing price. Special treats. Also, they do have my dog's treats which I can not find anywhere else off the shelf at half the price of the on-line store, so I stock up every five months or so. It's great! I always shop the gourmet aisle for chips, teas, olives or any other tasty treats that you can't find anywhere else for half the price here as well. You might find a decorative item on the clearance shelves too. So, although most of the items are a bit too steep for my wallet, which is slim, I do come in and find bargains for some items. I recommend you come in and check them out. The store is crowded with merchandise and you do have to put up with sorting through shelves that are stocked to the brim and over-flowing, which is a pain. I guess the upside is there is a great selection? I find them expensive, so don't buy much here except for a few select items but those few things are items I can't find anywhere else and I do save a lot of money on them. Not complaining at all. Nice area to shop for clothing, shoes, pet supplies, furniture, jewelry and housewares. Good and discounted prices. The selections and sizes are limited and somewhat seasonal but the brands are high end and good quality. Some prices are very good deal especially when they go on clearance. This TJ Maxx location is surrounded with good number of restaurants and other shopping stores. read more

This past Monday, I've accompanied my mom to this T.J. Maxx location at University blvd. and didn't regret it. We were pleasantly surprised by one of the employees at the Jewelry department. I think Her name was Paulina and she was supper nice and eager to help my mom while not pressuring her to make a quick decision nor was she trying to push a sell. Terrific COVID COMPLIANCE! Everyone is required to wear a mask, traffic is one way and social distancing spacing is marked on the floor. There is not as much merchandise as TJ's normally has but it is actually safe to shop here and the rules are being enforced. Typical TJ Maxx. Nothing really stands out about this store. It was pretty organized. It seems a little small but maybe that's because of the layout. I noticed a few associates on the floor but like most TJ Maxx locations, they didn't speak or offer assistance. read more

Typically I avoid stores like TJMaxx because I never find anything good, the items are the stuff that nobody really wants or likes, and the stores are in disarray. Today, I had some time to kill on this side of town, so I figured why not pop in and look around. To my surprise, this store was neatly organized and they had some really awesome stuff for the cheap. From Anastasia eyeshadow palettes (24.99!), toys and books for the kiddos, Jaguars gear, Christmas decor, and some cushy slippers for my husband, I felt like I won the lottery after leaving this store! If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping in to see what kind of goodies you will find! read more

Fairly clean and found some apparel and shoes. Changing rooms were clean. I don't shop much at all, but definitely will come back.

TJ Maxx is one of those places my wife and daughter stop by regularly. I usually end up sitting in the parking lot waiting for them. They have a really good selection of all the latest styles. I especially like to go check out the clearance area in the back. If you look you can get a really good deal there. The prices are fair. The people are friendly and helpful. They do their best to move the line along quickly to check you out. Parking is easy. read more

I came here because I was in desperate need of some new shirts. I was happy to see the plethora of options I had to choose from. I tried everything on making sure it all fit to my liking. I picked out six shirts and a dress. After getting home, I washed and dried all the new clothes. Much to my surprise, EVERYTHING SHRUNK DOWN BY SEVERAL SIZES!!!! Nothing I bought now fits me! Even the dress shrunk up so much that my butt cheeks hang out. Not only that, but three of the shirts were full of holes after their FIRST washing and never being worn, and another had a split seam down the side. I am so so upset. I spent $70 on new clothes (something I have not been able to do since I was pregnant two years ago) and none of it wearable. The clothes at this store are absolute trash. Please heed my warning and take your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Went shopping here the other day. I can't believe this was the first time to this new store since they opened. I walked in and it was beautiful! Everything was clean and bright! The employees were very nice and greeted us when we walked in the door. I like that the store had some sort of design. Not just plain Jane shelving and boring white walls. Great flow and organization. It may sound weird but the store was pretty. You can tell its new. Of corse I ended up buying more than what I came for. I found some steal of a deals. So naturally I just had to buy them! Check out was super easy and the cashier was very friendly and seemed like he enjoyed his job. I can't wait to come shop here again. read more

Management is horrible the only good one there is Annisa she is the only manager on top of her game and knows what's she is doing the store is always changing as a former employee I know and the way that Maria treats her male employees is as if she doesn't have to do anything and boys should do all the work. Yay! A new TJMAXX!!! This store looked super nice and organized. It's new, so no surprise there. There was a pretty good selection, but...NO PLUS SIZE! Whyyyyyyy. I was so hoping there would be one! Either I overlooked it, or the plus size section is incredibly small. I walked around in circles about five times trying to find it. I'm a diva on a budget...with curves! So that was a bummer. Anywho, the usual great finds of decor, kitchen items, accessories, and the like are still there and waiting for the taking! read more

I lOVE Tjmaxx! I came across this location by accident. I was in the area and saw the sign so I just had to stop by! Let me start by saying they have the BEST clearance section ever! In every department! I started out in the home section, as I am in need of a white vanity ottoman, I found a nice white and gold painting that I had my eye on from Homegoods in their clearance section for $12 YASSS So I totally snatched that up, I also found a white faux fur rug for $20. I made my way to the beauty section and found my favorite deep conditioner that was marked down and a Tory Burch wallet that was close to 70% off (They are selling the same one at Nordstrom for full price.) I browsed the store for maybe an hour in aww of their inventory (they have a nice selection of high end items at great prices), although I didn't find my ottoman I found a few other things at great prices and I will definitely be putting this location in my go to spots! read more
