Because of the popularity of this store, it is fair to say you can expect to find new offerings all the time. Outside of the fact that all items are second hand, and therefore cheaper than a brand new item, the prices are a little higher than other thrifts. However - it's very clean and very well organized, and that requires a lot of staff hours. Everyone that works there knows what they are doing - it's a well oiled machine. They've got beautiful art prints from independent artists, handmade ceramics, plus stationery, a bangin' candle section, lovely housewares and textiles like throws, pillows, and tea towels, plus jewelry, the list goes on and on. Plus when you shop here you're really shopping small, because most of what they carry falls into that category. If you go to their website you can take a look at a list of the artists they carry in store, and I love recognizing names of friends and people I admire in their respective fields. Nickels Arcade is always a must stop for me when I'm in Ann Arbor…read more Located in a small alley near State Street and The Diag, Nickels Arcade offers a cobblestone pathway and numerous local shops that are so incredibly unique. Most shops are closed by 5pm or 7pm so I definitely recommend stopping by early in the day if you can. However, Nickels Arcade is still perfect to stroll by in the evening as well. I wanted to visit Bon Bon, a local chocolate shoppe, but unfortunately they were closed by the time I made it during my most recent visit. I loved that they offered a menu outside so I could still look at what they offered. Another shop I'd like to stop at during my next visit is Comet Coffee. I am always interested in finding new coffee spots and the window art on Comet's window was so inviting! Other shops in the alley include a barbershop, tobacco shop, and various antique shops. Spend an hour strolling through the shops. You won't regret it!

Not only did we walk in shortly before and as they're both cleaning up the store, putting items back where they belong you know the typical closing routine. Without hesitation they helped my daughter and myself find items throughout the store. I was in a hurry and did not know layout of store and with Dollar Tree not all stores carry everything other stores may. I must say, Brock and April we're so helpful, friendly, not bothered by helping us like most closing employees would be and to be quite honest, these two employees are KEEPERS and should be recognized for their amazing dedication to not only their job, most importantly the consumers!! I will shop back at this store again. I had several bad experiences at this location 5+ years ago and never shopped here until tonight. so happy I did and the store gained my business back Due to these two awesome individual!! This is the largest Dollar Tree that I've ever been to, and interestingly enough, the only one I've…read moreever been to without carpet. Like any other Dollar Tree, there is just so much stuff. What stuff, you ask? Just stuff. Loads of it. Mostly cheaper version stuff of things that you would buy normally, with a dash of useless stuff mixed in. I don't dislike this Dollar Tree at all, but I'm not impressed by it in any aspect other than size. The cashiers have ranged from rude to bored, and there are never enough of them. This location is consistently busy. The lines aren't always long, but with only one or two cashiers tethered to their registers, and no one else in sight, it's a bit difficult to get help finding things in such a vast and unorganized store. Understaffed, inexpensive, lots of stuff.
