Never really had a problem buying waters, sodas, and basic medical supplies or snacks here. Primarily we just purchased convenience items, but this last time we got a prescription refilled. Would have to say that the people at the pharmacy registers did seem less competent than at CVS stores back home. The lady who helped us was ok. She did have to go fetch our prescription as it was not in the bin even though the app said it was ready. We did not have to wait long and this sometimes happens back home. The man at the register next to us seemed far less competent. Per Gemini AI, use the app, have your doc phone in a refill rather than having CVS contact your doctor for a refill, and do not bother calling CVS or waiting for a text, just check the app and/or go into the store and ask to wait for your prescription if your doc already called it nor you had refills left. We used this general procedure and got a refill next day and did not spend a lot of time at the store or have to argue with register people. Their lot is pretty big for the area. Never had trouble getting parking. Just beware that you cannot turn left on Lighthouse, so plan to turn left or right and circle back through the side streets to be able to make a right turn into the lot off of Lighthouse or from the side entrance on Prescott. Would definitely come back here for convenience items and would get prescriptions refilled here again using my own doc and the CVS app rather than relying on CVS to get it done--just go to pick up.

Because he proceeded to lie and at random claim that he refuses to service me because I "interrupted his conversation" (actually admitting he was just chatting away) of course I made a call and as I was stepping outside he still had the audacity to follow me outside the store minutes after the door was closed behind he proceed to instigate me while I was on the phone with dispatchers because no I have actually shopped at this store prior no problem. Hence a cashier who proceeds to follow you once you left out the store is clearly a danger in addition to claiming you're the supposed issue clearly is lying and honestly providing the worst customer service. From an individual who has actually dealt with customers being racist and demanding--me asking him to please ring me up should not have been an issue at all. I…read moresometimes shop here around 6:00-6:30 a.m. before work, and it's frustrating how quickly a long line can form with only one cashier open while self-checkout is still closed. What makes it worse is that even when the line is clearly getting backed up, it can take 10-15 minutes before another employee is called up to help. At that point, several customers are already standing around waiting. A lot of people are working much earlier schedules these days, and you can tell many of the customers shopping at that hour are grabbing breakfast, lunch, drinks, or other things on their way to work. People shopping that early are usually trying to get in and out quickly. If there are enough customers consistently shopping at that hour to create a line, Safeway should either have additional cashiers scheduled so 2-3 lanes can be opened when needed, or simply allow self-checkout to open as early as 6 a.m. It would make such a big difference for early-morning customers.

I was overcharged during my last visit. I got a three pieces of ribs that were from the deli section pre-cooked and I asked how much they would cost and the gentleman who helped me said 8.99 a pound. When he rung it up, he quickly took it off the scale, but I noticed it said .39 pounds and later after getting rung up and leaving, I noticed that I was charged five dollars!! Five dollars was written on the package. No indication of the weight was written on the package. He was also very selective of picking up the pieces he gave me...and I noticed that the pieces I got had large bone in them and very little meat. Definitely got less than a quarter pound of meat altogether once I removed it from the bone. So I have decided not to return because I don't trust that they're ringing up the meat correctly.
