It is hard to tell, but this is not a large. I don't think it's even a medium.

We did not have a very good visit today. They made me a good coffee and that's the only reason why I'm giving them two stars. The attendance kept just chatting away about their daily lives with each other, and gave us very little attention. I asked for a large latte, I got a small. They forgot to give me a muffin, and I had to remind him that I had to coming. They could totally elevate their service by paying full attention to their customers, and giving them what they asked for. This is a very luxurious place, and I didn't have the heart to go ask for what I asked for. They got a beautiful place here, it is nice to sit at the chairs and enjoy that delightful treat. We tried to do the best we could with what we had.

A clean, organized boutique marketplace that makes great sandwiches. Almost half of the space is dedicated to wines. Food prices remind me of airport prices except they're mostly good quality. Hot and cold sandwiches are made to order. Service was good. My Sonoma panini, $16, rocked, especially the onion jam and arugula. I know sourdough bread is the thing in these parts but I actually liked it. The cold turkey sandwich looked average but was said to be satisfying. Cups available for fountain water. Day old baked goods are half price. Don't recommend the chocolate chip cookie, didn't taste any butter. There are some tables outside and plenty of parking, It's a convenient spot along the 17 Mile Drive.

Chili soo good!!!

Love this place. After 17 mile scenic drive and view of pebble beach golf experience. This is the best lunch you could ask for. We had the Italian sandwich, which was loaded with meats and very delicious. The kids had Mac n cheese and turkey club. The chili was the highlight of the meal. chunks of shredded meat and so mush flavor. If you like chili you will love this. Nice chairs to sit in and tables with umbrellas for shade. Very clean bathrooms to use as well. You can't ask for anything better. Ice cream to top it off at the end as well!

It's an average deli. They do have a good wine collection. I don't recommend Salad or Sandwich here. You will get cold and not so fresh food items. Good to buy groceries from.

Stale candy, undercooked / overcooked food, and ofcourwe over priced. We ordered Smoked Buffalo, Marniara Pasta and Wings, and couldn't finish anything. Please bring your own food or eat somewhere else. Service is not so efficient. It's definitely a nice place for scenery and biking I'd walk. From. Food perspective, very disappointing.

The prices are crazy and the food is extremely average, making for a disappointing experience. This basic turkey sandwich was $16 and the bread was dense and untoasted and the lettuce wasn't fresh at all. Also, it didn't even have real avocado as mentioned on the menu-- it was avocado mayo! It tasted decent but was far from worth it price-wise, so it was overall a somewhat regrettable purchase.

Main area of the store. There's a wine section to the right and refrigerators of drinks to the left (not pictured).

Nice place to stop buy for a quick meal while doing the 17 mile drive. They have convenience store snacks, grab and go foods, sandwiches, a coffee bar, salads, desserts, and ice cream. The salads we got were nicely seasoned and the coffee was good too. They have an easy parking lot shared with the post office and bathrooms are at the visitor center in the neighboring building.

I love coming here! Everyone is always so welcoming and the man making my sandwich, Alexis, was so friendly and made sure my order was just how I like it. I'm a regular at this point.

Mediocre sandwiches but you are paying for the location. Outdoor picnic area and Adirondack chairs with a small glimpse of the sea.

I filled out the order form, and the kind gentleman working at the deli let me know they were out of the hot chicken. No big deal at all. I asked if he had any recommendations, and he suggested the tri tip. I hadn't even noticed it was one of the options, so I was actually glad he pointed it out! I told him to make it however he thought it would taste best since I'm not a picky eater, and he absolutely delivered. The tri tip sandwich was so good! It was packed with flavor, the meat was tender and delicious, and the bread was just right. It ended up being such a great choice, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation. The sandwiches were made quickly, and the customer service was outstanding. He was so attentive, acknowledging everyone who came up to the deli counter while keeping orders moving efficiently. You could tell they genuinely care about their customers. When we checked out, the cashier up front was just as friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Between the amazing service and the delicious sandwich, we'll definitely be back to try more of the deli menu. If you're in Carmel by the Sea, Bruno's is absolutely worth a stop!

I'm not sure what's going on with the deli staff at Nielsen Brothers, but the experience has been…read moreconsistently disappointing. This morning, both employees saw me standing at the counter waiting. One was folding towels, the other was facing me. They made eye contact multiple times, then deliberately looked away without acknowledging me. It was very obvious I needed help with something. I had placed an online order for two sandwiches, which came out to $33.69. For that price, the least I expect is basic acknowledgment. After waiting long enough, I finally asked, "Am I in the wrong area?" Instead of a simple, polite response, I was met with an irritated "What do you need?" from both of them, as if I was inconveniencing them. When I explained I had an online order, I was told, "It's right there," with a dismissive point toward the shelves. No greeting, no guidance, no courtesy. I'm a local resident and work in healthcare. Even on difficult days, I make a conscious effort to treat people with respect and kindness. It's not that hard to acknowledge someone standing right in front of you. This world is already full of enough frustration and rage. A little basic courtesy goes a long way. On a positive note, the hot dog stand guy out front is always super nice and friendly, which makes the contrast even more noticeable. Customer service doesn't require perfection, just basic decency. Unfortunately, that seems to be missing here.
