I keep coming back to Fitzy's hoping for some changes that make me WANT to come back more frequently then once a year. Today a simple order once again was screwed up and my sandwich was delivered to me wrong. Never fails my meal comes to me incorrectly, ok..I could possibly live with that as they did correct it very quickly. My issue today was my waitress looking at my party as dollar signs (her tip) We were asked more times then I can remember "Do you want an appetizer and then do you want dessert". I have no problem being asked but her tone was so pushy and when we declined it was like then please leave as you are taking up space too bad your not done chewing your meal. I just don't know about this place, I do like supporting the local smaller businesses, but this place is just fair and visiting often is not for me. The oddest thing was while my waitress was pushy and a bit unpleasant, the manager walked around smiling away as though nothing was wrong and everything was funny per her big smile on her face. A positive is I have a few friends who enjoy the the bar side of this establishment. So if you want to go out for a few drinks this maybe a place to go. If you want a nice laid- back place to eat, keep driving by. read more

The onion rings and calamari were undercooked and grossly soft. The bartender told us that substituting buffalo fingers for the buffalo wings in the combo platter was not allowed. When the live music stopped there was no other music turned on making it awkwardly quiet for a bar on a Friday night. read more

Now, it's reopened and as was said above...the Food is WAY better than it was before it closed. The cool thing that they have now is a Fitzy's Pub Rewards Card. Just hand it to them when you pay the bill. As you get more points, you get rewards to use towards food discounts and such. The good thing, as even if you just go in for a few beers, you can use your card towards that... The last time I was in I had the Wings...and man, however they make them...they are TASTY! And Chris the bartender will keep your glass filled with Sam Seasonal while you're eating. The Nacho's are also out of this world. They are HUGE! And the chili is very good. If you like Nacho's...this is a place to get them. They also have a Shrimp Scampi. If you ask them, they will sub it out with Chicken...and then have them add Garlic. HOLY SMOKES! It's GREAT! We'll stop in for the Music and a few pints here and there as well. It's a lot of fun and the people working the bar are great. read more

Located 45 minutes outside of Boston. I went in support of DJ Kprizzy (good, fun set!). I thought the venue was tiny, but I only saw the pub and didn't get to see the restaurant side at all. It has an open lot with plenty of parking. My friends had dinner there and had plenty left over by the end of the night. Prices we're very good! You can get lots of food and drinks for a lot less than spots in Boston. The staff was very nice and attentive. I was impressed by how efficient they were. Overall pretty good restaurant, but it is not likely I'll come back since I am so far. read more

I was smirking while reading the reviews because it is a tale of two restaurants. The dining room service is slow and hit or miss on the friendliness factor. Conversely, the bar area is a great place for Monday night football with good wing and beer specials. I stopped taking the family to the dining room but love to go on Monday nights for some beer, wings and people watching. read more

Very upsetting sneaky charges. My family has been going to Fitzy's for YEARS. Practically every weekend a small group of us go there to enjoy food and Keno. Recently my mom has been booking their Shamrock party room for events. We did my dad's 60th and my sister's 40th there. Again we booked the room for a party this past Sunday for my 30th. We were told that we could have the small buffet meal for $12.99 per adult and $4.99 per child. The food was good but we only had one server for 35 people so replenishing food, drinks, silverware etc was slow. Our party ordered LOTS of drinks so Fitzy's definitely did well on our bar tab, but obviously not well enough since they ended our special day with a surprise $17.99 per person tab. They said they charged us a banquet charge for offering coffee and brownies. Well we spent $200 on 2 fancy cakes so nobody ate the brownies (we were not aware they were providing these anyway) and hardly anybody drank coffee, so it should have just been added to bar tabs for those who wanted it. We will be discussing these underhanded charges with management and I will update with our resolution. It is too bad they decided to do this to dedicated patrons, they are losing lots of business. read more

was in town for a working dinner. Here are the factors that lead to a two star review: Bread basket: 2/3 overbaked, near burned. 1 properly burned. Side Salad: comprised of iceberg lettuce, perfectly serviceable if not terribly tasty. Entree: Rib eye, bone in. awfully thin. ordered med. rare, delivered mostly well done, to rare near the bone. tiny eye portion, mostly "tail," poorly trimmed of fat. Dessert: Molten lava cake: good sized portion, but very meh. microwaved texture. Carrot Cake: Perfectly serviceable. The problem? the whipped cream on both. for whatever reason, I could not get over the plasticy feeling texture of it, almost like it was shelf stabilized whipped cream. read more

Had wanted to check this place out for a while and finally got our chance. First impressions always set the tone and all the boxes got checked: (great pub atmosphere, clean and well lit dining room and terrific aroma coming from the table across from us). My wife and I started with the clam chowder (delicious and good clams-to-potatoes ratio) and stuffies (quahog-which was tasty and (thankfully) didn't include the chorizo (filler) a lot of places around here serve). They were out of the steamers special, so I ordered the corned beef Reuben while my wife tried the Fitzy burger. Both were excellent (they even had Dijon mustard (a necessity, imho) for my Reuben which isn't always the case elsewhere. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!! Ordered the baked scrod. You could tell by looking at it, that it was bad. I cut into it and could smell how bad it was. After the waitress finally came over, she said she would take it off the bill. Then we saw her talking with the manager and came back defending the fish claiming the fish was fresh today. Then the cook came out and was obnoxious. He too defended the fish telling me 30 other people had the fish and no one complained but me. He was so rude to me I will never go back...please tell a friend. Stay away from this place. horrible! read more

I decided to go despite the bad reviews, I'm expecting to be sick very shortly. The fried zucchini were goodish but the fries tasted like they had been in the freezer for too long and then microwaved and had an awful consistency. The personal pizza tasted like it came from a fair. Everything seemed very low quality. read more

This was awful from start to finish. I really wasn't expecting fine dining, but I certainly wasn't expecting such a negative experience. I should have realized something was up when it was 1:30pm on a Sunday and there was no one eating lunch accept for us. The hostess treated us like we were an inconvenience seating us. Then we were seated in a dingy section of the restaurant. Our server wasn't unpleasant but came very infrequently to check up on us. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and the chicken was old and cold, absolutely undeniable.one of our our drinks was not correct. We then couldn't wait to get out so we paid the bill and this is the cherry on top, we went to our car and there was a gang of bar people smoking and leaning up against our car. My husband told them it was rude to lean on other people's car. I am only happy that no fight ensued. read more

First time there, last time there. If I could give this business less than one star I would. I was sat immediately by the hostess. Waited 15 minutes and still no waitress. The hostess came by and asked if I would like something to drink. She brought me my drink, still no waitress. Another 10 minutes and I stopped the hostess and asked if I could order. The hostess took my order which was delivered by the manager (????? don't really know). Half-way through my meal the waitress showed up and asked if I needed anything else. I finished my meal and after waiting another 10 minutes, I flagged down the hostess and asked for my check. She gave me my check and I waited another 5 minutes for the waitress to show up with my change. I eat out quite often and this evening was the worst experience I have ever had. I loved the Old Fitzy's back when it was owned by the Fitzpatrick Family. I really wanted to like the new Fitzy's owned by the same guys that run the Mozzarella's Grill & Bar with several locations in RI. Sadly I have to admit that the food here is inconsistent at best, and the service just about the same. I really think they concentrate on the more profitable bar section and the restaurant suffers as a result. I have never been to any of the Mozzarella's but clearly they are an Italian leaning chain. As an Irish/American Pub they simply don't make the grade. I really wish that they did though. I will continue to be a loyal Chieftain Pub devotee, for authentic Irish Fare and Suds. read more

Went here despite the reviews and wish I didn't. Got boneless wings and you could tell they were frozen. They weren't that bad thou. Waited way to long for our burgers to come only to have them overcooked. It wasn't busy so I can't imagine why it took so long. The portions (wings and fries ) were small for the money. I don't think I'll be back unless its to drink only. Cocktails were reasonable. The waitress seemed like we were interfering with her day. Work it out Fitzy's and maybe some day well be back. I've been to Fitzy's about five or six times, all in the dining room and all but once with kids. I usually get the steak tips with rice, and the meal has generally been good. I've explored some other options like the chicken parm, but have learned to stay away from some of the options. The kids' menu has very reasonable pricing, and I've never gotten any of the horrible service or food that others have posted about. read more

Love this place but whoever is bartending tonight ( Monday) is more interested with her phone than anyone at the bar. Didn't know Fitzy's closed but glad it's back. I used to visit a friend in N Attleboro and we always stopped in there. Classic divey sort of place in a good way. I used to die for the boneless fried chicken dinner with gravy and a decent buffalo chicken bar pie. Yummy read more

Last few times i ate here food was mediocre at best. Gave it another try tonight and was glad i did. I had the French onion soup which was very good, and the Reuben sandwich, also very good. Not a bad place. I sometimes pop in for a burger or a few drinks, and to play some Keno. Sometimes Mansfield is dead or I just feel like going for a little ride, and I end up here. Burgers and fries are good; drinks are fairly strong, good crowd and friendly people. A solid 3 stars! read more

Saturday night prime rib is great, tender and at less than $20 there is always enough left over for a great sandwich or steak & eggs in the morning. I am not sure about other reviewers saying the service is slow in the dining room - if anything I think they should slow it down a little bit. We tend not to order right away just so we can have time to order a second drink before the meal arrives. Good bargain, good atmosphere and good food. The menu selection is pretty large with standard sandwiches and pizza but also has a lot of seafood selections. The buffalo chicken sandwich is my favorite. The prices are excellent. I lived in the area for a couple of years so I've been to Fitzy's a few times. There can be a wait on the weekends so beware. It's definitely a place the locals flock to. read more

Best lunch ever. For 8 dollars I got a half of grilled chicken sandwich and a cup of seafood chowder. The chowder was packed with seafood and the chicken sandwich was so moist. A must try place. Staff was super nice too. read more

Very middle of the road for me. I have been going here with my family since I was a kid but it is now re-opened under new ownership. I got the BBQ burger, which came out cooked just how I asked it, while my girlfriend got the Shepard's Pie. We got the potato skins as an appetizer. Food wasn't the worst we have had, but was not the best I have had either. Will probably return but I wouldn't pick this place for a special night out or anything like that. Worth mentioning they have Keno as well, both in the bar and seated sections. read more

Been to Fitzy's many times. Meals have always been good. The Sunday family style chicken dinner is awesome. All you can eat for $9.95. The chicken is so tender it falls off the bone. Went there last Saturday After a basketball tournament. I had never been. The food and service was fantastic. The Sheppards Pie was awesome. We had 5 kids and six adults. There was a group of 6 adults next to us who were extremely rude. With 5 twelve year olds we might have been a little loud but by no means disruptive. I mean we were sitting in the family section! You could tell this one woman did not have kids. After they left our waiter apologized for them and stated we were by no means loud. Again I would highly recommend this place. Fitzy's is back and better than ever! The Food: The food is at least 1000 times better than it used to be. Get the Zippy Shrimp appetizer and ask for some bread with it. Use the bread to sop up the delicious sauce. Also, the sourdough burger is fantastic. The service: I always sit in the bar and the service is always great. When to go: Go on Thursday night. Karaoke starts around 8:30 or 9pm. The karaoke guy (Steve) is friendly and entertaining. I'd get there a little early, sit in the bar and eat your dinner, then stay around for the entertainment. read more

Why do people still come here? Nice older guy sitting across from us told us he's been coming here for years. He went on further to tell us that his taste buds were shot off in the war. The place still reeks of spilled beer and stale cigarette smoke from a bygone era. Would love to set up a sobriety check point outside the lot of this place! What i got was tasteless hamburger with very little potatos in a sea of oil (not sure if the oil was supposed to be the gravy or not). Have not been to Fitzy's for a very long time. We went a few months after new owner and swore we would never go back. The food was pretty bad. Met a friend for dinner tonite. The waitress was so good. She made a bad experience very nice. The place was close to empty. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and fettuccini Alfredo. The wine was good and the glass was pretty full. It was a fairly medium sized glass. The fettuccini can and had almost no sauce. Sent it back and it was returned with more sauce. It had no flavor. It was as if the chef had made a roux with milk and forgot the cheese. It was terrible. It was like eating paste on noodles. I added quite a bit of Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and that did nothing. Maybe the cheese was really poor quality. I ate a couple of bites and could not eat any more. The dish was taken off of our bill. By the way, the wine was $11! Probably will not go back again for quite a while. The waitress saved the day! Kudos to her. read more
