Our first seafood boil in the Badger state and boy was it tasty and hearty! Come hungry for sure because their menu is all you can eat. They are famous for their cod fish boil but we ordered their ayce (all you can eat) combo of buttery boiled cod, honey bbq chicken and bbq ribs. The meal comes with coleslaw, boiled potatoes, onions and rye bread. The meal is finished off with an apple strudel dessert which we had no room for because we were stuffed! Drinks are purchased a la carte. We visited in February 2023 but I'm sure this place is bustling during the warmer months. Regardless of when you visit, the food and good service will have you visiting year-round. Definitely worth it if you are in the Genoa City/Lake Geneva area.

When my sister mentiones having dinner here. I said ok but not really excited because Im not a fish person. I was sooo wronv and im glad we came here. This is an all you can eat place. Menu has COD Chicken and Ribs. Some sides potato, onion, coleslaw. Bread and butter and Cherry Pie for dessert. Not sure if the dessert changes. You have a choice if you want fish only or with chicken or all three. We did all three for $21. It was so good. It this is saying a lot because im not a fish or ribs person. But i would definitely go back. They pour butter over the cod. Cooked perfectly the chicken and ribs are tender and seasoned perfectly. Parking is not an issue. And be warned this is a CASH ONLY place. There is an ATM inside the restaurant itself. MUST TRY!

Set in a historic building in a small town just two blocks north of the State Line, Fitzgerald's provides a dining experience that's pure Wisconsin tradition. It's a perfect cap to a day spent in nearby Lake Geneva. Though the restaurant opened in 1990, it has the aura of an eatery that's been around much longer. Hours/days of operation are limited and the menu - which never varies - offers just 3 entrees, 2 sides, and 1 dessert. A small bar provides the "right" Wisconsin lubricants (Spotted Cow, anyone?). You prepay your meal as you enter and a server fills your plate at the buffet. Seconds? Of course! The place is crazy-busy on summer weekends, but an outdoor patio and a quaint upstairs room provide additional seating. True, they do things a bit differently here than we city folks are accustomed to. Don't expect a server to clear away empty plates - get up and do it yourself. And they don't take credit cards (a bank ATM stands incongruously in the waiting area). Drenched in melted butter (optional), the boiled cod really does taste like lobster. "Nearer my cod to thee." We've indulged in many fish boils in Door County, where whitefish (unlike cod, served with skin and bones) is typically used. Fitzgerald's may not be as iconic as, say, the White Gull Inn, but it's pretty darn good and less than 90 minutes from home.

Great spot, came here with a group of friends, it is all you can eat, the only downfall was that kitchen couldn't keep up with the demand, we had to wait a little too long a couple of times for food to be ready. But staff is very friendly, prices are reasonable, food is pretty good as well.

Cod, potatoes, onions, butter, coleslaw, brown bread.

Food is disappointing, staff seems unhappy to work there, & it's old & musty. Was 20 years ago & worse now.

Every time we come to Illinois we have to do the boil. The fish is the best then I would say the chicken. Easy and well priced.

Excellent fish for a reasonable price. No frills ambiance and service, but well worth it to enjoy their Offering.

Go for the fish fry. Best one in area. Can get crowded and you may need to wait. Have yet to try the ribs.

We visited on a Friday evening and were informed upon arrival (1.5+ hours before closing) that they were out of brisket, ribs, and chicken. This severely limited the menu choices, but we decided to give it a try anyway. The "coleslaw" had almost no flavor whatsoever - practically dry chopped cabbage. The baked beans were the best thing served; a little heat and good flavor. The pulled pork was bland, and honestly no different than pulled pork I can make at home in my crockpot. I tried the traditional BBQ and the Carolina Gold sauces. The traditional was good - just enough heat. The Carolina was heavy on mustard flavor (minimal vinegar tang) and extremely watery. Both came to the table in small plastic to-go cups... I was surprised and disappointed at how little sauce was provided, especially when you're charged $0.25 per extra sauce. But the lack of extra napkins at the table should have told me everything I needed to know... The corned beef sandwich special my husband had was decent, though neither of us felt our meals were worth the nearly $20 (each) price tag. The overall experience was disappointing. The staff was kind, but besides one initial check in shortly after food arrived, no one came by to check on drinks, extra napkins, etc. My husband finished his drink partway through the meal and was never asked if he wanted/needed another. 3 stars is generous - if we could rate half stars, I'd be giving 2.5.

The place is inside a gasoline station which is always sketchy but I will try anything at least once. The menu will be posted because I can't find one so I will show you what they have. I'm a big time rib guy so I stuck to my rule that if I don't smell smoke I only do the half rack. I ordered the half rack dinner that comes with an option of 2 sides and corn bread which I chose Mac and jambalaya. The ribs were meaty fall clean off the bone with a nice texture, not the super soft steamed meat texture but not the little chew texture that I like. The meat was moist and tender but not very smokey and the bark didn't scream anything flavorful to me either so this is a mild bbq that in my opinion needs sauce which I got on the side so I could properly evaluate the bbq. The sides were average which is not a bad thing because they were not terrible. The Mac and cheese was not cooked to total mush with a thick creamy cheese sauce with a small mild cheese flavor. The jambalaya was once again just average and not terrible either with tomato's, chicken and sausage. The corn bread was very good because it was very fresh and moist with that soft creamy texture, not the saw dust kind that chokes you. Overall it's just average bbq and not bad with everything being consistent, it's not the worst or the best bbq that I have had.
