I have been coming to FitWit's free Saturday HIIT/boot camp workouts for quite some time now and absolutely love it. The trainers put together great HIIT workouts that allow you to get your best personal workout (whether you're new to interval training or a veteran, injured or recovered, feeling low energy or 100%). I've done several HIIT workout classes and FitWit is the only one I've stuck with. It challenges me, it teaches me new exercises and/or HIIT formats, and I never feel like I'm slowed down or prevented from getting my best workout due to the group nature of the class. Importantly, the trainers continuously monitor participants' form during the workouts, something that several other group fitness classes overlook. Finally, the crowd is awesome and there is no cult fitness vibe. I definitely recommend trying FitWit for a solid HIIT/boot camp style fitness regimen. read more

Since joining Fitiwit in August I have lost over 40 pounds, gotten a lot stronger, can do more pull ups than I have ever been able to (even if it's only 4, lol.), and gained a lot of self confidence I lost somewhere along the way. This isn't a typical gym or boot camp style workout. It's tailored, personalized, and I look forward to going just about every time read more

Workouts, Community, Giving back!! I have been coming to FitWit for over a 1 year and I just love it. The trainers are top notch, the group atmosphere creates competition against yourself while in the company of others, holds me accountable, provides me encouragement and support, keeps me coming back every day. I would highly recommend if you're in a rut or bored with a gym. The best part about FitWit is part of my monthly membership goes straight to The FitWit Foundation. A wonderful non profit helping Teens learn about fitness and eating healthy. Highly Recommend!!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about FitWit!! I have been going to FitWit for roughly 6 months now, and I've loved every minute. Prior to joining, I was in great "cardio-shape" with most of my workouts coming from long distance running with occasional weight lifting. I was looking for a gym that would challenge me in my fitness. Since joining FitWit, I have noticed an incredible difference in my strength & mobility. The instructors are awesome and truly take the time to work with you on your form. Everyone is friendly and welcoming too! And most importantly, the workouts are fun!! They offer a wide variety of class times to accommodate morning/evening workout folks. They have also handled Covid protocols extremely well - social distancing, frequent cleaning, etc. I love this gym and can't wait to continue my membership!!! Highly recommend! read more

I started working out at FitWit once they "re-opened" in the parking lot this summer. They offer an AWESOME workout! They do it all: cardio, strength, conditioning, and flexibility. The trainers are very supportive. They walk around (with masks on!) to help correct form and give encouragement. There is a sense of community with other members too-friendly and supportive. If you're looking for a safe and challenging workout, check out the FitWit website. You won't be disappointed! read more

I'm someone who burns out on workout programs. After having my second child, I got into Pure Barre, because it was convenient to my house, but never connected with the culture or the people. My husband encouraged I try FitWit, mainly because I needed to incorporate weight baring excercises into my life, but also because he thought I would love the community. For once in his life, he was so right! (that was a joke. Love you, honey!) I do love the fitness program, which is so dynamic and ever changing; but I stay because the people truly are wonderful. Funny. Welcoming. Encouraging. Come join the family and get fit! read more

I am posting this review after a couple killer workouts this week. You would think that workouts that leave you breathless and sore would lead to a negative review, but quite the opposite. Fit Wit has become the workout that hurts so good! Over the last couple of months I have seen improvements in my stamina, strength and focus. While some days you may dread getting out of bed to start sweating, just know you will have a great community of trainers and fellow Fit Witters to carry you through your workout. And on the note of trainers, those at Fit Wit really pay attention to your needs and form. And always with support. No negative yelling! And no self-obsessed trainers. I have been to a number of boot camps and crossfit gyms and FitWit stands out. You get the best of both those types of workouts by being outside and also using gym related equipment like kettlebells, medicine balls, pull up bars, etc that you normally find at a crossfit gym. One last reason to try Fit Wit is the Fit Wit Foundation that supports local students academic and health needs. So, just think that your workout every morning can actually contribute to your community. read more

I was never athletic and am not a "joiner," but FitWit has changed all that. I was a heavy, out-of-shape, late-middle-age lady who was petrified of elevated heart rates, injury, looking foolish, and being bullied by trainers. Almost three years later, I'm still a late-middle-age lady, but I'm down about 40 pounds, in the best shape of my life, and I'm part of a fun, supportive, diverse community. I learned that I can do just about anything I decide to do. I credit the amazing trainers and the variety of workouts they design for us. It's hard work but they focus on safety and form, and tailor workouts to your needs, if needed. Fellow campers really make a difference, too. We support, tease, celebrate and check on each other. FitWit is a community of folks working together to get healthier and to giving back. I love knowing that part of my fee each month goes to support the FitWit Foundation that provides free exercise classes to kids and teens throughout Atlanta. When I joined FitWit, I wanted to kick myself in the butt and get out of a decades-long sedentary rut. I'd tried so many things before and never stuck with anything. I'd always read that you should find something you enjoy doing and that'll be the key to making exercise an indispensable part of your life. I never believed it--until now. FitWit has changed more than the shape of my body. It's given me confidence, a larger social circle, and a sense of connection to something bigger. I really can't imagine my life without it. read more

I LOVE this program! I tried several boot camps and crossfit-type programs before I found the right one for me: FitWit. I have been a member for nearly 5 years; the longest I have stayed with any fitness routine in my entire life. Everyone, from the staff to the other "campers", are so supportive, friendly and fun. I don't think you will find a more knowledgeable group of trainers in all of Atlanta.. When I joined FitWit, I couldn't do a pushup on my toes, run a mile in under 12 minutes or press a 15 lb kettlebell above me head. In a few months I will be doing my first triathlon at 54 years old. I give FitWit the credit for helping me believe I can do whatever I set my mind to and encouraging me along the way. read more

Believe the hype! I have tried a bizillion groupons for infinite workouts from Zumba, to Spinning, to Yoga, Barre, Boot camp, you name it! And nothing compares to Fitwit. The trainers are fantastic, so knowledgable and committed to fitness, and to every single person in the Fitwit camp. I tried it out for their one month special, and immediately was surprised how all the trainers learned my name and quickly incorporated me into the group. Although the classes vary in size, the trainers always have an eye on every person, an they come around and correct you, help you modify the exercises, etc so that you get the most out of the class without hurting yourself. I go in the mornings so my trainers are usually Casey and Stacy (both of them have to be among the best trainers I've had EVER-- period!). I've also attended some evening classes with Becca and Lisa who are also fantastic. Every class feels like you have your own private personal trainer (and they never miss a thing-- if you are struggling, they will support you, if you are pushing it, they will be encouraging, if you are "not getting it" they will notice and help you adjust/modify. They are genuinely invested in your fitness. Most conventional gyms just want to get potencial customers to sign a contract so they can take your money, and cash in on their commission and that's that, if you go, or don't go work out, they don't care once you have a contract signed and they can withdraw the monthly fee from your account. At Fitwit, all the trainers are genuinely invested in you being there. I recently missed two weeks cause I was out of town, and I got an email from Stacy just checking in and making sure everything was ok. I really appreciated this very much. Another element of Fitwit I really appreciate is the community. Everyone is committed to health and fitness (but not in a crazy culty way), but more in a life affirming, positive way. It's not cheap! Don't expect to find groupons, Classpass or any super deals. But you definitely DO get what you pay for. I went from a bizillion groupons and memberships i was barely using, to sucking it up and paying to Fitwit. I now go 3-4 times a week, and I am excited to wake up every morning and start my day with Casey and/or Stacy and/or Lisa and all of the Fitwit crew. read more

As the FitWit Live Fit contest winner, I received a year long membership. All my thoughts below are based on my own experience. I highly recommend FitWit for all levels and abilities! I came to FitWit as a primarily back of the pack run/walker who couldn't squat and needed the smallest kettlebell to complete a set who wanted to build strength and endurance to get faster. I gain those and so much more. The first workouts were a challenge but in the best possible way. As my year progressed, I not only got faster (shaved 20 minutes off my marathon time) but I gain strength for every day use. Beyond building muscle through various workouts including kettlebells, jump ropes, TRX bands, running, rowing, and everything you think of with a bootcamp style workout...yes even burpees..., I also gain mobility. Most important thing is there is a true sense of community. The trainers are knowledgeable and supportive. Each has a different style, so it allows for all types of people to find a style that works. The Campers are amazing as well. Once you settle in a routine you see the same encouraging faces that are there to put in the sweat equity with you! No matter where you start, you will make giant strides in you health and fitness! read more

I was first introduced to fitwit at a party, where I was cornered by two women as they went on for about 30 minutes about how great it was. Although it wasn't quite the way I envisioned the evening going, I was intrigued by the concept. I needed to do something, as my typical workout routine was to think about working out in the morning, and think about working out in the evening, and never really getting around to doing much of anything. About four months and a couple of 'visitor day' sessions later, I ended up starting my first ever bootcamp. Fitwit operates out of Grant Park and Southside High School, and runs 4 days a week for 6 weeks at a time. You're supposed to have one 'homework' day a week where you do a light exercise, and you're given access to a nutritionist. The workouts are, not surprisingly, very intense, and you walk away from many of them amazed that you just finished an entire circuit. They track your times and stats, so you're mostly competing with yourself, trying to constantly improve from your last go round. The workouts are incredibly varied, and focus on multiple levels of fitness, from strength and stamina to balance and coordination. It's hard, as it should be, but the trainers and your fellow bootcampers are incredibly encouraging. For the newbies, they spend the first few weeks working on form and technique, so that you're getting the most out of the training. You really get to know and bond with your fellow fitwitters, and the trainers often plan happy hours or parties so people can get to know each other. I've just finished my first cycle, and I immediately signed up for round two. I feel much stronger, and my previously expanding belly (I blame the Yelp happy hours) has begun to retreat. I'm feeling muscles pop out that have been buried since college, and I think I'm making my wife sick by telling her to feel how solid my legs have become. I'm thoroughly hooked, and this is coming from someone who couldn't workout more than two days in a row to save my life. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in changing their sedentary lifestyle. A couple of notes: 1. It IS expensive. You can save about 10% by being referred by a current member (hint, hint), and you have to bear in mind that these bootcamps last 50% longer than most. Also, the price rapidly drops to manageable levels for repeat campers. 2. The 'wit' part of fitwit come from the nonprofit arm of the organization, which provides free personal training and tutoring to Southside High School students. Of course, proceeds from the adult bootcamp is used to fund the charitable organization. 3. The next session starts April 14th, so if you're interested, go for it! They also have a free visitor's day about four weeks in, so if anyone wants to test it out, let me know. read more

I joined FitWit right after I moved to Atlanta. I've always been relatively active but I have struggled with writing workouts and making sure that I challenge myself. FitWit accomplishes both of those things by having a variety of fun and challenging workouts. In addition, they also have great trainers who are always there when you need an extra push or need to figure out a way to improve in a particular area. The trainers and people who attend the gym are fun, kind, and encouraging which is always a great added benefit. read more

It is a miracle that not only am I still exercising regularly (about 3x/week) after two years, but that I'm doing it at 6am! It's because of the trainers at FitWit, who are motivating, knowledgeable and genuinely care about us "fitness campers." The other folks I work out with are also amazing; no one is competitive and everyone is supportive. It's an informal, comfortable environment and you get an intense and challenging workout. Couldn't recommend FitWit more. read more

I'm coming into my 1st FitWit anniversary so I figured it was high time to review my favorite early morning "hangout" spot. A. I'm a team player and my checking account gets hit once a month. If I had to sign up for this shit monthly it just wouldn't happen so I just go ahead and get that money deducted. B. 6 am workouts suck, but what sucks even more is getting fatter all due to lying to yourself about how you are going to workout AFTER work. Not so much. waking up a hour earlier isn't that hard and your work out is over before you know it. C. The trainers are super upbeat and always willing to give you modifications in case your body can't do something. D. Working out daily with others brings you closer together. Team huddles make you wish you were standing a bit further apart. E. I can brag to my friends about all the shit I accomplished before 7 am... mainly 150 jump ropes, 50 kettle bell high pulls, 40 wall balls, 30 supermans, 20 star jumps, 20 push ups, and back up the pyramid (that's just one day out of 260). F. During the week there is some muscle that is always sore, which for me is a good thing. If you're not sore then you didn't work out hard enough. G. If you miss your time slot workout, you can always jump in on another time slot. i.e. if you oversleep like I am sometimes known to do I can hit up the 6 or 7 pm workout. Most other boot camps don't allow this. -FitWit is no longer done in 6 week sessions; it has gone down to 4 week sessions with less time off than before. You can choose between a 2, 3, or 4 day workout structure after you have gone through your newbie month. -All profits go to the FitWit foundation so you are working out AND helping the community. read more

I can't say enough good things about FitWit. I've been a member here for just over a year and have loved every minute of it! Not only have I had more success in working out and weight loss than at any other gym, I've never felt so supported along the way. Every trainer here uses positive reinforcement to help you achieve your goals, and always goes out of their way to give individual attention, even if the class you attend is packed. The workouts are challenging but fun, and they do a fantastic job of mixing up the workouts so you never get bored. They're also great with helping rehab injuries and preventing additional injuries. I'm looking forward to year two, and continued success towards my goals! read more

I have been attending camps with FitWit on and off for the last 5 years. It is a fantastic community of people, and it all starts with the founder, Josh Guerreri. He has the right mix of inspiration, encouragement, tough love, variety, technical expertise, and fun to make getting up at 5:30am 4 times /week bearable. The workouts are tough, but somehow are appropriate for any and all fitness levels. There is a good ratio of trainers to campers, so you always feel like someone is nearby to correct your form and get you working a little harder. Maybe the best (and most unique) part of FitWit is the fact that much of the profit goes towards a foundation aimed at fighting childhood obesity and instilling health and fitness as a value for local teens in Atlanta. There are a bajillion bootcamps out there these days, but FitWit gets my business every time. read more

I signed up for my first FitWit in April and I am currently in my 2nd camp. Anyone who lives/works anywhere remotely convenient to either the Decatur or Grant Park areas and is looking for a way to get fit and have fun NEEDS to join FitWit. I used to be very active, I was in the gym 4-5 days a week and I had a very active lifestyle. I was living in Los Angeles with amazing weather and it was easy to be outside and active every day. When I moved back to the East Coast I let my good habits slip and found myself in the worst shape I've ever been in in my life. I joined FitWit mostly for the accountability and the knowledge that if I was paying that much for something, I might make a better effort to go. I also joined with a friend, so that added another level of accountability. For the first 2 weeks I was so tired and so sore, I didn't know how I was going to make it. But once I turned the corner and could get through the workouts better and wasn't quite so sore, I became hooked. Although the intensity of the workouts definitely qualify as a boot camp, I don't like to refer to FitWit as a boot camp because it conjures visions of falling in the mud with some drill sergeant screaming in your face to "GET UP AND RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The trainers at FitWit are incredibly encouraging and upbeat. They work hard to ensure that you are using proper form in all exercises so that you can avoid injury. They have modifications for everything we do in case you are dealing with an injury or just aren't physically capable of doing the prescribed exercises just yet. They are knowledgeable and will not hesitate to jump in and join you in an exercise if you are struggling to get through. The campers are just as valuable as the trainers. The campers are all incredibly encouraging as well, and there are many who will not hesitate to do extra work and finish out your reps or run that final lap with you. If I didn't already know how valuable the trainers and campers at FitWit were, the 1 week break in between camps proved it to me. I was at the gym trying to work out and had designed work outs based on things done at camp, but work outs that would have been a very easy camp day and I could barely get through them on my own! Without the encouragement of everyone else there to push me through, the mind over matter battle became MUCH more difficult. Finally, FitWit fosters a community spirit. There are socials and Field Days and many campers have been together for multiple camps and organize gatherings of all sorts. It's a great way to meet some awesome new people who are also striving to live healthier lives. Good influences are never a bad thing. read more

Best fitness routine, really keeps me accountable. I will never go back to the gym, this is much more effective... & fun!

After working out (with occasional small breaks) for over 3 years I still love it! The trainers are awesome, the workouts vary and include cardio, strength, mobility, rowing, you name it! You get to know people and it really does feel nice to go where people know your name. If you are looking for a gym home, look no further! read more

How can I express my love for FitWit and what it has done for me? As a runner who had lost my mojo and gained a lot of winter weight, I got a ScoutMob deal in April thinking I would do the one month to reboot my motivation. Entering my sixth month, I can honestly say it has transformed my body and overall fitness level, and made me a better runner. The best thing about FW is the people; this is an amazing community of awesomely supportive, fun and encouraging people. The trainers are terrific and the workouts are structured so every ability level can be challenged. I can't recommend it highly enough. read more

I remember my first week at FitWit. It was one year ago, I was scared to death. The first day we had to do an assessment of pushups and squats. I was thinking..."Why on earth do I want to do pushups and squats? I just want to be able to walk down the beach in a bathing suit instead of a long t-shirt." Well, I couldn't do a toe pushup to save my life. I looked around and everyone else was doing toe pushups and I was like...Are you kidding me? I did a few knee pushups during that assessment. Now, I can do more than a few pushups and they are on my toes. The greatest accomplishment for me....Last month, I bought that bathing suit and I finally felt comfortable to walk down the beach. Thanks FitWit! read more

I had a great experience here. It was a good workout that included both running as well as strength training. Everyone there was very friendly and treated you like you belonged, even if it was your first time there. They clearly had an understanding of what everyone was capable of since they had different expectations for their members. Some were told to keep going and that they were not allowed to quit (those they knew they could push) and others were told to keep up the good work, even if they walked to the next station and got there just minutes before everyone else was about to leave. They had a great group dynamic. read more

I went here during the free week and it is definitely worth the hype. The workouts are scary enough to make you dread going back, varied enough to keep you interested, and tailored to any fitness level. I definitely got a workout here and it shook me to my soul. The trainers were very nice. JB was the first one I met and I felt like he was checking me into the gates of heaven, he's a sweet man with a kind face and he learned my name and encouraged me throughout the whole workout. What more can you ask for? Its $299 for 6 weeks i believe and they meet 4 times a week. read more

I've been a member at Fitwit for more than 3 years now. I've always been active and prior to this I was part of an outdoor boot camp for a couple of years and then barre classes and then CrossFit. I have say that FitWit is best of all worlds. There are intelligently programmed workouts using a mix of body weight, kettlebells and plenty of cardio. When the weather is nice we run or workout outside. There's such a huge variety of workouts ( you never get bored) and incredibly in-tune coaches that encourage and challenge every step of the way. It's like personal training but in a fun group. People of all ages and fitness levels all just being REAL. Plenty of class times offered, plenty of parking, all easy like it should be on auto-pilot. I wish I could go more often, but my twice per week are the BEST 'ME TIME'. Break a sweat, clear your head, hear your breath, feel your muscles and leave energized. It's a part of my routine now that I'd never compromise. Can't say enough good things. Oh and they do fun social events, give back to the community and nutrition coaching is available too. I recently did their Nutrition Challenge reboot - lost 5 stubborn lbs , gained muscle and a lot of high fives! It's absolutely at the top of my feel my best arsenal. read more

I joined FitWit to get a jump start on getting in shape. I had no intention of doing more than one six week camp. Three years later and I am still impressed with FitWit and what they do. The trainers are awesome and keep the workouts new and challenging. Also the sense of community with this group is amazing - and everyone is welcomed into the group with open arms. I cannot say enough good things about FitWit. read more

FitWit is not a boot camp - it is a community of people with whom you form incredible friendships and challenge yourself to meet goals you didn't think were possible. I started FitWit in the Summer of 2010 and participated in 4 sessions. During that time I became stronger and faster (finally went from a 10 minute mile average to running an 8:04 mile) and made some great friends. I took all of 2011 off to train for an Ironman. I loved that process but I missed the variety of workouts and the coaching that FitWit offered. After my race in the spring of 2011, I signed back up. I had done nothing but sit on the couch for 6 weeks and I was out of shape. Within a month, I felt like I was back in shape and actually more holistically in shape than I had been while training for an Ironman. The thing I continue to love is the support of the community. I feel like I can be challenged by other athletes but also be encouraged. The trainers are always available to answer questions and really care about your development as an athlete. They are encouraging rather than "in your face". They care more about you doing an exercise correctly and not getting hurt than faster times. When I have had injuries, I've found that they easily adapt the workout for me. The price tag is not cheap but this is your health. I could never go back to a gym workout or another fitness class after this experience. read more

Truly the best fitness center around. The studio side offers small group classes in an encouraging environment, with classes from 6 in the morning to 7:00 or so in the evening, so you can find a time to workout every day. The boot camp side is full of amazing coaches and campers who keep everyone motivated and coming back. I really never thought I'd be a person who wakes up to work out at 6 or 7am. But I love doing it at FitWit. read more

I'm not one of those people that ever worked out. I was one of those people that got away with it for a long time. I got along fine without putting on too much wright. Then, after I turned 30, all of those things changed. So, reluctantly I followed my wife as she decided to try a group fitness camp called FitWit. The first day went like this. We did an active warm up for about 10 minutes. Through my sweat and grunting, I was quite surprised to learn that we had not in fact started the workout. It was hard. But it was hard because I had never worked out. I had no idea what good exercise was about. Regardless, the trainers were patient and understanding. They focused on taking things slowly and working on form, but pushed me to do my best everyday. Fast forward 3 years and I can't imagine what I would look and feel like without having joined FitWit. When I don't make it for a week, not only do I feel sluggish, I feel guilty for not being there, and I feel left out of what is happening without me. The campers and trainers alike make it a place where anyone is welcome as long as they come to work a little and make themselves better. And after each day, I do feel like I'm making myself better. There are lots of options out there for people looking for exercise, but I can't imagine that there is one better than FitWit. Between the dedicated and educated trainers, the wealth of equipment at hand, and the constantly changing and evolving workouts, I never feel like I'm not getting what I need. The truth is, I may not want to workout tomorrow, but I will go anyway. And when I'm wiping the sweat from my brow and high-fiving my fellow camper, I'll be glad I did. read more

FitWit was introduced to me via ScoutMob, and boy was I glad I jumped at the opportunity. Varied workouts, such as those used in the philosophy of CrossFit are used on a 4x/week basis at 5 times during the day over 3 locations in Midtown, Decatur and Grant Park in Atlanta (1 month camps offered to start). The outdoor locations are great as opposed to a stuffy gym (indoor facilities available during inclement weather), and with a lead trainer and assistant trainer at every camp, there is plenty of help to keep you informed and motivated. Stacy, my lead trainer at Grant Park is great in teaching everyone proper form (the first 2 days as a 'newbie' you are shown proper technique aside from the 'vets') and she kept us going even if we felt we couldn't do the job. All trainers are very well versed in being just that, a trainer, with many different background in fitness. Workouts are always flexible to accommodate those of different skill levels, so don't be shy about joining, regardless of your background, couch potato or super athlete or anything in between. I love that every day I went home feeling great, having met new people and being a part of a TEAM environment, everyone encouraging each other to finish each workout, sometimes rough but always with some fun. The best part is that when you join (commitments up to you), you are helping a deserving child gain access to fitness as well through their non-profit organization. FitWit truly means family, helping everyone live a healthier lifestyle through not only workouts and social events, but access to nutrition, running, kettlebell and yoga classes and by helping those in need. FitWit has honestly been life changing for me. As this is only my second month, I have NEVER gotten results like I do now. I've lost inches and pounds and I feel amazing. The trainers are amazing and they really care about working out correctly which I think that has always been where I struggled. I started FitWit because nothing I was doing was helping or working and I am getting married in June so I realized I had to make a change. I go to the 6am class and even though it is so early in the morning everyone is so inspiring that I leave with my energy and attitude great for the remainder of my work day. The trainers ROCK and are so helpful and always telling you good job, keep going, you're doing great...which I LOVE! The people that you are in class with really motivate you and make you never want to miss a class. I'm not going to lie....when I don't have camp a day, I get kind of depressed... So I think I'm a FitWit addict. This has been the best decision I have ever made in my life and I have 4 more months to get ready to walk down the isle and I will owe my "thin" pictures all to FitWit. IT WORKS! read more

A couple of months ago I moved down the street from FitWit Decatur. I was looking for a gym so I thought "Maybe I'll try a yoga class or check out the TRX..." So, I dropped by and checked the space out and thought at first "This is kind of Spartan..." It seemed kind of bare/minimalist and it didn't really look like any gym I was used to... Just two rooms with a few pieces of rowing equipment, some weights, and some TRXs hanging. Instead of rows of machines there was just a stereo and lot's of personal notes on whiteboards announcing events and praising people for achieving goals... Where were all the fancy machines I didn't know how to use, or what purpose they served? What, no receptionists to ignore me at a sign in desk in a fancy lobby waiting just to check my ID and wave me on through the turn-style without even a word? This wasn't like any gym that I had seen before... There were just people in there working out together and smiling and laughing and sweating. The emphasis seemed to be on healthy movement and the workout was tailored for each individual . Everyone was working together, but each person was doing the exercises to the level that they were capable. My first instinct was right - Fitwit isn't a gym like I had known before! Fitwit is more a way of being and it is not just a place! FitWit is more of an inspirational movement where friends get together and push each other to go farther, to do more, to make the effort and to achieve something that they didn't think possible alone! Yes, there are instructors there to improve your form, to inspire, and to make sure that you are growing and reaching and being challenged... Sometimes the instructors even share life lessons and articles from magazines and healthy recipes. They are there to help build that community and help foster the ideology of FitWit. See, the idea of FitWit is to lift you up and support you, to help you find strength, and then help you to do the same for others who will follow! It isn't competitive it is collaborative. FitWit is actually Fun! I've been going to FitWit for a couple of months now and I've made new friends in my classes. These are real people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. I've seen some of these new friends accomplish big and small goals. Maybe a pull-up for the first time or lifting more weight than they ever have before. I've accomplished things I didn't think I was able to, and slowly but surely I am getting stronger. Not, just biceps or pectorals - I'm not trying to get big and muscular. It is my core that is growing stronger, it is my will that is getting stronger. My self-confidence is building and I see it in my sports; both on the soccer field and on the tennis court. I feel it when I pedal and I feel it when I jog - a strong deep core from which to build. Perhaps FitWit Decatur isn't packed full of equipment. But, now I know why! The room is too full of heart, and determination, and will, and friendship that there is just no room for another squeaky treadmill! No - FItWit isn't like any gym that you are used to. And that is a very good thing! read more

I joined FitWit after moving to Atlanta and struggling to find a good workout routine and community. I tried Classpass and joining generic gyms, but both lacked the continuity, community, and challenge that I was looking for. When I joined FitWit, I really just wanted a way to stay relatively in shape, but I got so much more. I've always been a fairly athletic person, but FitWit has without a doubt brought me to my peak physical performance. The programming is unique and challenging and really ensures that your entire body begins to work in unison. The careful attention to the importance of focusing on different areas ensures that my entire body is working as one for the first time and I notice that it has improved other activities too - from running to hiking, to having better posture at the office. While the workout program is heads and shoulders above anything else I've experienced, the real value of FitWit is the people. Never have I found such a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging community. I love that we have people of all abilities, backgrounds, lifestyles - you name it, it's at FitWit. Few things can motivate me to get up in the bleak and dark cold mornings of winter, but the people at FitWit make it worth the struggle. The trainers are exceptional individual who bring an incredible level of professionalism and genuine care to their work. If you are gone for more than a few days, they check in with you to make sure everything is ok and take time with each person in class to offer adjustments and improve your work, no matter where you are in your progression. Of all the things that I've found in Atlanta over my last 2 years here, FitWit has by far been one of the best! read more

I have been a FitWit member for two years. I go every single day and it is truly the best hour of my whole day. I can hear you asking yourself "But REALLY what makes FitWit so special?" Let me tell you! The single most important differentiator for FitWit vs all other gyms for me is the caliber and quality of their trainers. FitWit trainers are kind, extremely educated, and take time to work with you individually to ensure your form is perfect. Seriously guys, the trainers at FitWit have to be the most educated group of trainers you will ever meet - a lawyer, a bio-mechanic PhD, physical therapists, the list goes on. FitWit trainers are elite industry professionals. Where else do you have resources like that? To become a trainer at FitWit, the process is extremely tough. Each trainer goes through 100 hours of hands-on training before being hired at FitWit. This intense pre-hire training process ensures that each FitWit trainer understands the mechanics of each lift and movement to be able to safely and successfully coach FitWit members during class. FitWit trainers also truly care about your personal fitness goals. Whether you are a long distance runner, a power lifter, or even someone who hasn't been to the gym in years, I promise FitWit is for you! Also, if you don't come to class the trainers notice. They truly care if you show up or not. If you miss a few classes expect an email checking up on you to make sure you are ok! The second thing that I love about FitWit is the programming. FitWit is a group fitness kettlebell conditioning gym with a special emphasis on rowing. FitWit's programming is different every day! We often use kettle bells, battle ropes, medicine balls, jump ropes, dip bars, rowing machines, and lots of body weight exercises. The diversity and variation of movements and class formats keep me excitedly coming back for more! Personally, FitWit's programming has enabled me to achieve many fitness goals. Before FitWit, I run a 10 minute mile. Now I run a 8 minute mile. Before FitWit I couldn't do a double under. Now I can do 100 unbroken. Through measurable benchmarks, it is clear to me that I am more fit, better conditioned, and more in shape than I have ever been in my life. FitWit's programming works! The third thing that I love about FitWit are the FitWit members. Before FitWit I traveled so much for work I really didn't have time to meet people or make friends in Atlanta. Through FitWit I have met so may sweet and genuine people. I even consider some to be my closest friends. FitWit is a community that encourages and truly cares about the success of all of its members. I love walking in everyday because I am greeted with high fives and smiles. The forth thing that I love about FitWit is the convenient location. FitWit is located right off the belt line next to Two Urban licks. The location is easily accessible, convenient, and on my way home from work. Before joining FitWit, I tried other gyms along the belt line and none of the gyms even came close to FitWit. Like what you have heard so far? I would highly recommend giving FitWit a try today! read more

I love FitWit. I enjoy group fitness and FitWit has been an excellent choice for me. The trainers are knowledgeable about what kind of fitness really works. The workouts start with a lap around the football field and a warmup moving up the yard lines. During the first week, I couldn't even run a full lap and was out of breath during the warmup, but my week 3, I was already in enough shape to jog all the way around without stopping. Workouts are different everyday and the trainers make use of equipment so that workouts are engaging and dare I say fun! The environment is ALWAYS positive. The trainers all have different personalities, but have never yelled at campers or punished the group when an individual can't fully do the exercise at hand. The campers are another great reason to try FitWit. Everyone comes from different places fitness-wise and we all encourage each other to work hard. I've been last at nearly every exercise so far into week 3 of camp #2, but I never FEEL like I'm last. I have a support system here for exercise, diet, AND self-esteem that I don't think many gyms or bootcamps can claim. Honestly, I can't think of anything bad to say about FitWit other than it gets hotter than Hades at the evening workouts in the summer! Haha ;) "Peace, love, & burpees!" read more

I heard about fitwit through Yelp a few months ago, but was nervous about trying it out. I had a really bad experience w/ a boot camp last summer and vowed I would never do it again! But fitwit is different and I knew after my first day I was hooked. The trainers are amazing, they push you to do your best, but never make you feel like a failure when you are struggling. The workouts are varied and amazing! I love it. After only 3 weeks of the camp I saw unbelievable results. Right now I am doing my 2nd camp (now a vet!). I also love my fellow campers; we work as a team pushing each other to do our best. And it's a great mix of folks, so you won't feel out of place no matter your fitness level or age. It's a really great environment. I would recommend fitwit to anyone, and I do all the time! I believe in the program so much, I decided to become a member and committed to going year round. Fitwit is a non-profit foundation as well, a portion of the fee to join program goes to help underprivileged children learn to be healthy and fit too. read more

Bootcamp is essentially the only way I will push myself in a workout and FitWit is the best place to do it. Every workout is different and every routine is varied. This is great because it helps time go by quick and you are never doing the same thing twice. I have learned a lot about myself through my FitWitting and I would highly recommend it. If you are thinking of joining up somewhere or getting a personal trainer- do FitWit. I have tried other camps and it is the best. Awesome people and awesome results! read more

FitWit is a fantastic program! I am in my late 40's and have tried everything from personal trainers to countless gym memberships. It wasn't until I joined the FitWit team 2-years ago that I finally saw the results I had been striving for. The workouts are challenging but achievable once you get into FitWit shape. The trainers are the perfect mix of supportive and tough, and their is enough diversity in the workouts to keep you from getting bored and hitting a plateau. Highly, highly recommend this group! read more
