I've been going to Mayweather for 6 months now and it has been one of the best decisions of this…read moredecade. As an aging woman with ZERO boxing experience the coaches are helpful, encouraging and motivating. All the coaches help elevate the experience farther than five stars! The operations manager Langston is a significant reason I continue my boxing journey. Or maybe it's coach Manvir, coach Stephan or coach Jenn? All are the# bestinthebusiness. Can't stop won't stop

To be honest, boxing is also intimidating... but I was in for a pleasant surprise. I feel welcome here and if you go enough, it starts to feel like a little family. I also notice minor changes to my body and it's only been about 2-3 weeks (I've been going 4-5x/wk). More details below if interested. Scheduling: Super easy via app. There's also a waitlist in case classes are full. But there are a variety of class options which make it easy to fit in your day. Classes are also 45 mins during the weekdays so it doesn't cut too much time into your work week. Classes: If you're looking for something calm, this is not for you. It's loud, it's energetic, type of exercises vary each day (keeps you on your toes and your body challenged). However, you can start at whatever level you feel comfortable (no need to be a pro!). Classes start with warm-up, intro to types of punches you'll work on throughout the class, then the actual workout (you rotate through stations), closing with core exercises then cool down. Equipment: There's a variety of different bags that you get to rotate through. It's also not just about boxing. There are fitness stations to build up your strength and endurance. Depending on the class routine, you may use ropes, medicine balls, dumbbells, steps, treadmill or row. You will need wraps (either traditional ones or modern) and gloves. Technology: There are TV monitors to show you the punch combinations for each round and exercises for the fitness station. You also can get a heart rate monitor to keep track of your progress. If you're competitive, there's a leaderboard to keep you going. There's also an application to monitor your progress and a lot of fun features. Ambiance: Once it's go time, it's low lighting and loud music. For me I love this because it's like an escape from the world and it's just you and the bag/station. Also it's makes it less intimidating. Staff: They are amazing and know what they're doing. This was important because in other fitness clubs/centers I'll notice that trainers aren't helping you with your technique (not to be a pro but at least to make sure you're not hurting yourself) and they look fit. This might sound judgmental but I feel this is reflective so I know I'm getting a good workout from people who know what they're talking about. Also, I have no idea how they do this but they bring in the energy every time. I love that they love what they do. The thing I appreciate the most is that they meet you where you're at (level of fitness). They provide a good balance of pushing you but making you feel comfortable. They also walk around and check on folks to make sure all is good. Cost: Okay, okay this does matter and I was surprised at the cost (over $150 or so, but this will vary depending on package). Here's the thing though, if you go at least 3-4 days a week, it's actually reasonable. So I'd encourage folks to not be too intimidated at the costs. Overall, this place is a gem!
