When people see me now, they see the weight loss, kayaking, rafting, and all the physical activities I'm able to enjoy. What they don't see is the foundation that made all of that possible. I started Pilates because I wanted to move better and get stronger. Over time, Marylor helped me build strength, balance, confidence, and trust in my body in ways I never thought possible. I went from struggling with basic movements to doing things I never imagined I would be capable of. What makes Marylor special is that she doesn't just teach Pilates. She pays attention, adapts to her clients, challenges them appropriately, and genuinely cares about their long-term success. She meets you where you are while helping you become stronger than you thought you could be. Recently I saw a physical therapist for some knee pain. Instead of waiting until I was injured, I wanted to identify potential weaknesses early. The first person I thought of sharing that information with was Marylor because she has become such an important part of my health and fitness journey. Pilates was the tool, but Marylor was the person who made it work. I am stronger, healthier, more capable, and more confident because of her guidance, and I will always be grateful for the role she has played in changing my life. Highly, highly recommend.

I injured my foot a while back and was getting more and more out of shape with the inability to really exercise, and hoped this might be the thing for me. I arranged a private lesson with Janette and signed up immediately. Janette has been AMAZING! She honed in immediately on the things that were holding me back and works every lesson to move me past them. She is patient and kind but still pushes me to exceed what I believe I can do. Now in my mid fifties, not only am I getting the exercise I need, I'm reshaping my body, my posture, my balance, my whole body is changing in just a month. I feel wonderful when I leave the studio and look forward to every lesson. (not always the case for me with exercise ;-) The studio is warm and inviting. Janette is an incredible teacher with so much experience and such good insights. I highly recommend her and Pilates EDH to anyone looking not just for another exercise, but for teaching and movement that balances, strengthens and restores the body in all the right ways. I can't compare to other studios, but I can say that Janette has me totally hooked! If you're having any doubts, call the studio. You'll be glad you did.

She is helping me retrain my body to no longer depend on my lower back which has been giving me fits and pains over the years and use my core and seat instead. She can tell right away when i'm off and corrects me, or comes up with a new exercise to adjust. She cares deeply about the well being of her students (and the planet!!). I love that i can totally rely on her and trust her to figure out what my body neeeds, whether pilates excercises or bodywork or a combination of the 2. She watches and listens to my body and quickly comes up with the next step. I love her focus and dedication. I cannot recommend her enough for individual or group pilates classes, and for bodywork. You will be well taken care of.

I love Pilates Heartcore…read more I've been to five classes so far - two private, one virtual, and two group - and have been led by five different instructors. Each class was wonderful, as was each instructor. I'm new to Pilates - before Heartcore I had only gone to/done two studio classes fifteen years ago + a few YouTube (mat) Pilates videos over the years - so I was very nervous starting out. Each instructor made me feel welcome and very supported. In addition, when I first started taking classes, I spoke with Katie, the owner of the studio, over email many times (to schedule classes), and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. The studio itself is spacious and very clean (including the bathrooms). Also, Heartcore has no "surprises" - something I very much appreciate; all policies are posted on their website, so everything that prospective + current students need to know is there. People may need to set reminders for themselves about things - an upcoming class they registered for, the need to bring grippy socks to class (which they do sell in the studio), when to cancel your registration to a class if you won't be able to make it, etc. - but that is to be expected at almost every establishment/business. I've been a member here for just about a month, and I don't foresee myself ending my membership anytime soon (barring a faraway move or something). I look forward to each class, and I'm so excited to keep going. I love this studio!

I swore it off however I went and tried other studios where I could get more confident and understand the form. So coming back to Instaphysique I had more of a foundational knowledge and knew what was ahead of me. But not only that but you also start to find instructors that you prefer their cues and/or energy and that makes a HUGE difference. I love my classes Kristin and Marisa. Clear cues and they have no mercy on my hammies and booty cheeks - but in a good way. When I started I was 5 months postpartum and they were very dedicated to giving me modifications but as soon as my strength started to build again, they challenged me without being pushy or making me feel bad if I couldn't follow. Some tactical things: parking is great in the morning but once 12p and beyond hit, you're fighting lunch and dinner crowds in the parking lot. Not impossible but just not princess parking. There are two clean restrooms in the studio. There isn't really a designated bag/shoe place but you can have it at your station or against the wall. Classes are a bit pricey, I have a membership to cut some cost. However, it's a great 40 minutes and it goes by super fast. I find it to be a VERY efficient burn.
