Right away Rob noticed my flat feet and the fact that my leg was rotating inward on each pedal stroke.

Beware of this studio…read more Wish I could give 0 stars. Their customer service is the worst I've experienced in a long time. My class was cancelled by an instructor and I was told by the staff (as well as via email and text) that I would NOT be charged. However, upon further investigation, I found out something interesting. I WAS in fact charged. Thinking it must've been an honest mistake, I reached out via email just to be told they don't do refunds after all. Instead, they offer "credits" to come back to their studio (that expire BTW). I was still charged after being reassured I would NOT be charged, for a service I never received. As if that isn't enough, the staff was also unfriendly immediately upon walking in.. I was blankly stared at by 2 staff members with no greeting for some time before they said anything to me. Plus, they don't offer modifications for people in class which was surprising to me, considering these are supposed to be "professional" instructors. There's fishy things going on at this studio.. I highly recommend taking your money elsewhere. BodyRok may as well be called BodyNOT.

The instructors are all very nice and the first handful of classes I would let them know I am new. The first class killed me! I was sore for a whole week after! The 2nd and 3rd wasn't much better but you do get used to it. I love adding this into my routine and now I go 1-2x a week. Keep roking!

I love Pilates Heartcore…read more I've been to five classes so far - two private, one virtual, and two group - and have been led by five different instructors. Each class was wonderful, as was each instructor. I'm new to Pilates - before Heartcore I had only gone to/done two studio classes fifteen years ago + a few YouTube (mat) Pilates videos over the years - so I was very nervous starting out. Each instructor made me feel welcome and very supported. In addition, when I first started taking classes, I spoke with Katie, the owner of the studio, over email many times (to schedule classes), and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. The studio itself is spacious and very clean (including the bathrooms). Also, Heartcore has no "surprises" - something I very much appreciate; all policies are posted on their website, so everything that prospective + current students need to know is there. People may need to set reminders for themselves about things - an upcoming class they registered for, the need to bring grippy socks to class (which they do sell in the studio), when to cancel your registration to a class if you won't be able to make it, etc. - but that is to be expected at almost every establishment/business. I've been a member here for just about a month, and I don't foresee myself ending my membership anytime soon (barring a faraway move or something). I look forward to each class, and I'm so excited to keep going. I love this studio!

The class was fairly challenging but there were options to make it easier or harder, depending on your level. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the spa amenities! They had various rooms and devices. We did 40min in the dry sauna, rinsed off, a couple minutes in the red light, and finished with a couple minutes in the cold plunge. The sauna and cold plunges were able to accommodate two persons at once so I can see this being a great couples activity. Afterwards my body felt so amazing and relaxed! All the spaces were so clean and felt new. The bathrooms were very clean as well and provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. I believe we met the owner at the front desk and she was so sweet and accommodating. She helped us navigate all the spaces of the spa and provided clean towels and eye masks. I'm not local to Sacramento but I'm definitely paying this place another visit whenever I'm back in town. Highly recommend!

Also, the staff here are one of the biggest reasons that makes me continue to go back..I tried this place recently with my friend and we didn't know we were going to love it as much as we do now. We ended up deciding to get a membership together and I love the feeling I get after a workout here. April and Bianca are very good instructors and I am so glad they are there at Body Heat. I never want to miss their classes because I love how it makes me feel after I am finished.. it honestly just makes my day better. Thank you Body Heat

I am new to Pilates and called Pilates EDH because they advertised focusing not just on Pilates,…read morebut on general wellness. I injured my foot a while back and was getting more and more out of shape with the inability to really exercise, and hoped this might be the thing for me. I arranged a private lesson with Janette and signed up immediately. Janette has been AMAZING! She honed in immediately on the things that were holding me back and works every lesson to move me past them. She is patient and kind but still pushes me to exceed what I believe I can do. Now in my mid fifties, not only am I getting the exercise I need, I'm reshaping my body, my posture, my balance, my whole body is changing in just a month. I feel wonderful when I leave the studio and look forward to every lesson. (not always the case for me with exercise ;-) The studio is warm and inviting. Janette is an incredible teacher with so much experience and such good insights. I highly recommend her and Pilates EDH to anyone looking not just for another exercise, but for teaching and movement that balances, strengthens and restores the body in all the right ways. I can't compare to other studios, but I can say that Janette has me totally hooked! If you're having any doubts, call the studio. You'll be glad you did.

She is helping me retrain my body to no longer depend on my lower back which has been giving me fits and pains over the years and use my core and seat instead. She can tell right away when i'm off and corrects me, or comes up with a new exercise to adjust. She cares deeply about the well being of her students (and the planet!!). I love that i can totally rely on her and trust her to figure out what my body neeeds, whether pilates excercises or bodywork or a combination of the 2. She watches and listens to my body and quickly comes up with the next step. I love her focus and dedication. I cannot recommend her enough for individual or group pilates classes, and for bodywork. You will be well taken care of.
