From the very first day, I felt welcomed and encouraged. He brings such a positive energy to the workouts that keeps you going. The one-on-one training that he provides is amazing. As a gym newbie, I came into my training with Zach with 3 main goals: 1. Develop a regular fitness routine. This is often a big hurdle for a lot of people just trying to get into fitness (myself included). It can be hard to develop the habit before it falters away. Having regular workouts with Zach really helped to create the routine and motivation I needed, which has since carried on after finishing training with him. 2. Develop a core foundation of the basics of weight-lifting. Before starting with Zach, I had a lot of anxiety when it came to going to a larger gym. I didn't know my way around the equipment and didn't know how to create a holistic workout plan for myself. After training with Zach, I feel more confident than ever going to my own gym now and creating personal workout plans. 3. Gain muscle. I was in the minority of Zach's clients in that most are focused on weight-loss whereas I was focused on weight and muscle gain. I had a long history of struggling to gain both of these things. While I by no means became a bodybuilder after 8 months, I saw concrete progress in muscle growth and weight gain through my training with Zach. It is such an amazing feeling to look back and see all the progress that was made in lifting. Not only that, after having trained with Zach, I feel more self-confident in my appearance than I ever have. In 8 months, I was able to meet all of my goals by training with Zach. I could not recommend a better trainer.

From start to finish, she was so easy to communicate with, incredibly flexible with our date and time, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. Julie went above and beyond by offering privacy for our event and helping provide lighting decorations, tables, and chairs, hot/cold water dispenser, which was convenient and made everything come together perfectly. The space was perfect for about 65 people and felt both comfortable and welcoming.Im sure it could even accommodate more if needed. Parking was super easy to find, and the studio is conveniently located near a Main Street with tons of great restaurants and activities, which was a huge bonus for our guests. The studio itself was clean, well kept, and even had snacks and water available for purchase. 5/5--highly recommend working with Julie! My son and I found SOS, hoping to buy a new pump, but instead, the kind ladies there offered to let us use the charging points in their own car. Without hesitation, they went of their way to make sure we could get our boards pumped up. They were so kind, generous with their time, and just genuinely good people. It's rare to come across strangers who are so willing to help. Thanks to them, we got to enjoy our day on the water after all. We are so grateful!

Then I found In Shape in Folsom and felt like I found my gym... finally. Things I look for in a gym are: Punching bags (there's 2 one outside and one inside) the inside one has been removed the last few days... I hope they fix it. I also look for a steam room and sauna, and of course a pool. I also love that they have a smoothie bar with great ingredient options which are fairly priced.

You have accomplished what decades of New Year's resolutions could not: you've made me less excited to come to the gym. The rich maroon and blue walls gave this place personality. They made it feel energetic, comfortable, and welcoming. Now I walk in expecting someone to hand me a clipboard, ask for my insurance card, and tell me the MRI machine is down the hall. Did someone lose a bet? Was there a clearance sale on "Corporate Beige Despair?" Did a committee gather around paint swatches and unanimously declare, "Let's remove every ounce of warmth from the building"? This gym has always been one of the reasons I've stayed a member for years. It had character. It felt alive. Now it feels like the waiting room where enthusiasm goes to die. Whoever approved this color scheme owes the old walls a formal apology. Please. Bring back the warmth. My muscles don't mind the workout, but my eyeballs are filing a grievance.

I wanted to build muscle and have a toned and strong body. Immediately, when I started, Jason, the owner and his wife, Darla and their trainer, Amy were extremely supportive and accommodating to the fact that I was out of shape and needed modifications for almost every exercise. I started coming multiple days a week and after a couple of months, I was able to start coming six days a week. The workouts are 30 minutes each, which is great because it doesn't take up too much time in my day and they are great workouts that have made me feel and look stronger and healthier as well as feeling good about my body. I have lost 90 pounds since I started at their gym and I have gained a ton of muscle and look fantastic now all thanks to Hoops Boot Camp and Fitness! I went from a plus size 5X to a size small. They're wonderful owners and are great trainers. They are encouraging, supportive, positive motivating, and accommodating. I have never felt like they pushed me beyond what I was comfortable with yet their workouts are still challenging so that you can get results. They are a family owned and run business. The class sizes are small, no more than 14 people per class and you rotate stations and every day is a different workout and challenge that focuses on lower body strength, upper body strength and core strength along with agility training and cardio. The people that attend the gym are all very supportive and nice. It is a judgmental free zone. I have felt comfortable in this gym since day one and I have never felt that sort of comfort in any other gym that I have been at. I highly encourage you to give them a try. I was given a four week free trial and after that another four weeks at a discounted rate of only $100. Their pricing is really great for a small gym. I only pay $130 a month for unlimited classes. They offer morning, afternoon, and evening workouts. Most of the classes only have around 6 to 8 people so you really get individualized and personalized attention which is really nice. They show you how to properly lift weights and will help you if you are not lifting weights properly so that you don't injure yourself. The gym is small, but it has everything that you need for a full body workout . They have a ropes station. They have weights of all different strengths. They have a TRX station, a med ball station, a kettle ball station, and step up boxes of various size, yoga balls and rollers, rowing machines, and much more equipment to be able to make each work out different but effective. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental and accommodating gym, with a small group experience, personalized support, and want to gain strength and a healthy body.
