Jean has also shown me that an injury shouldn't stop me from being consistent at working out. She provided me two modified workout routines while I was dealing with an ankle injury. Ironically she was dealing with her own injury and her persistence in maintaining her work outs encouraged me to persist and provide daily updates of my progress. I have worked with several personal trainers over the years, and Angela is THE BEST. For Angela,…read moreyou exist outside of the session, and she wants you to succeed in all aspects in life. I have always found the gym intimidating and working out a chore, but Angela has taken away the intimidation and created workouts that I enjoy doing. As someone who used to go to public gyms often, Angela provides tips and tricks to working out comfortably in a public setting. The workouts she creates for you have a variety of exercises, so you aren't doing the same ones every time. She also understands that you aren't always going to be motivated to go to the gym and has created workouts that can be done at home. Angela encourages you to listen to your body, so you do not injure yourself by lifting too much weight or using improper form. Angela demonstrates the correct form before having you perform the exercise, but also provides immediate feedback if she sees incorrect form. I really appreciated this as I have injured my back before and was scared to reinjure it. Angela taught me the signs that told me I was completing an exercise incorrect and was putting strain on my back. In addition to the workouts, Angela teaches you about how your eating habits affect you gut microbiome. I learned so much about cooking oils, macronutrients/micronutrients, supplements, and so much more, but it never felt like I was forced to learn or do anything. Angela provides you with the information, and lets you decide what you do with it. Unlike other personal trainers, who want you to be reliant on them forever, Angela wants you to be comfortable with working out so you can go to the gym by yourself. I have learned so much from her and am so thankful that I had the chance to work with her. She has truly changed my habits (and life) for the best.

Highly recommend!

I injured my foot a while back and was getting more and more out of shape with the inability to really exercise, and hoped this might be the thing for me. I arranged a private lesson with Janette and signed up immediately. Janette has been AMAZING! She honed in immediately on the things that were holding me back and works every lesson to move me past them. She is patient and kind but still pushes me to exceed what I believe I can do. Now in my mid fifties, not only am I getting the exercise I need, I'm reshaping my body, my posture, my balance, my whole body is changing in just a month. I feel wonderful when I leave the studio and look forward to every lesson. (not always the case for me with exercise ;-) The studio is warm and inviting. Janette is an incredible teacher with so much experience and such good insights. I highly recommend her and Pilates EDH to anyone looking not just for another exercise, but for teaching and movement that balances, strengthens and restores the body in all the right ways. I can't compare to other studios, but I can say that Janette has me totally hooked! If you're having any doubts, call the studio. You'll be glad you did.
