But when I came to the realization that if I didn't take control over my health and well-being, these kiddos may have a mom that couldn't keep up with them, and perhaps not be around for the long haul. I knew I needed a coach to help me be effective, keep me accountable while juggling a career, mom-life and achieve my health and wellness goals. I could not have been luckier to find Brien right here in EDH too. In 12 weeks, with Brien's coaching, education and encouragement, I've dropped 7.5% body fat, 26lbs on the scale, and have had great improvements in health risk indicators including drop in A1C (no longer at risk for diabetes!), drop in triglycerides, and improvement in thyroid function that my MD is reducing my long-time thyroid dosing. We AREN'T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING DONE!! He has an extensive background in biomechanics and injury prevention, needless to say he knows his stuff. The majority of the trainers/instructors I've worked with have been pretty limited in their scope. Brien has it all, knowledge, skill, humor, fun and incredibly engaging personality. Given his knowledge he works really well with diverse populations and has a passion for post rehabilitation work. I've never met a person who hasn't loved Brien, he's the real deal. Whatever your physical condition is, from expert to beginner, teenager to senior Brien can and will work with you. I can't recommend him enough.

I came to see Celio on a recommendation from a massage therapist with hope that someone new could…read morehelp fix my chronic back/sciatica pain which was lingering since I herniated a disc in my back in 2010. For almost 11 years, I had tried just about everything, from massage to acupuncture to physical therapy to steroid injections, and while all provided some relief, nothing really prevented recurring flare-ups. I had pretty much given up on running and weight lifting figuring my days of that were through. However, I am happy to report that just after 2 months with Celio I was back to running and now 3 months later I am starting to squat and deadlift again! To be honest, all the physical therapists I saw previously had applied the same general techniques for a herniated disc injury / sciatica pain. Nothing felt all that specialized or tailored to my specific symptoms. When I went to see Celio, I expected the same thing, but the first thing he had me do was take my shoes off and just walk. He was able to quickly identify a few bad habits I had picked up likely as a protection mechanism against the previous injury. These habits however had essentially locked my right hip, right lower back and shoulders. All of this contributed to my constant flare-ups. We started by working on very simple muscle activation exercises to retrain my muscles to respond when needed, and tailored those exercises as we progressed and found new areas to focus. Once we had developed a solid base and unlocked some key muscle groups, he then began challenging me to run, lift weights and perform exercise motions I had become too cautious to perform on my own. Now 3 months in he has me doing an hour long circuit training that honestly kicks my ass. It feels great to have my body back and to be able to exercise like this again!

What can I say that hasn't already been said here? Zach is simply stellar! I trained with Zach…read moretwice a week for a period of about 8 months. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and encouraged. He brings such a positive energy to the workouts that keeps you going. The one-on-one training that he provides is amazing. As a gym newbie, I came into my training with Zach with 3 main goals: 1. Develop a regular fitness routine. This is often a big hurdle for a lot of people just trying to get into fitness (myself included). It can be hard to develop the habit before it falters away. Having regular workouts with Zach really helped to create the routine and motivation I needed, which has since carried on after finishing training with him. 2. Develop a core foundation of the basics of weight-lifting. Before starting with Zach, I had a lot of anxiety when it came to going to a larger gym. I didn't know my way around the equipment and didn't know how to create a holistic workout plan for myself. After training with Zach, I feel more confident than ever going to my own gym now and creating personal workout plans. 3. Gain muscle. I was in the minority of Zach's clients in that most are focused on weight-loss whereas I was focused on weight and muscle gain. I had a long history of struggling to gain both of these things. While I by no means became a bodybuilder after 8 months, I saw concrete progress in muscle growth and weight gain through my training with Zach. It is such an amazing feeling to look back and see all the progress that was made in lifting. Not only that, after having trained with Zach, I feel more self-confident in my appearance than I ever have. In 8 months, I was able to meet all of my goals by training with Zach. I could not recommend a better trainer.
