We recently started training lessons for our 8-year-old, and it has been a great experience so far. The coach does an excellent job of focusing on the fundamentals while keeping each session engaging. I especially appreciate how he takes the time during/after drill to discuss with my child what they learned, explain proper body positioning, and relate each skill to real-game situations. This approach not only builds strong technical fundamentals but also helps kids understand the game and think on the field. Highly recommended! read more

Small class size for focused training but large enough to work on runs and positioning. Franco knows his stuff!

Great communication from initial call to training day. My son plays competitive soccer year round ( ECNL ) and he learned a lot from his 1st training with Coach Franco. He already notices a difference in his shots just from that first training. He enjoyed his training and all the knowledge Coach Franco gave him. We definitely recommend. read more

If you want your kid to get from good to best, Coach Franco can make it happen. My son is 11, loves soccer and is a great student. But I didn't see his game improve much in last 1.5 years. His first touch and sense of game was already good. How do u get better from here? Coach Franco was spot on in recognizing places he can improve and integrated skills like quick thinking, improving first touch, handling ball under pressure etc. and many details that often get ignored, were now integrated into the drills he customized for my son. Within few sessions, I can see huge improvement in his game play and confidence. Thank you Coach Franco! read more

I did five sessions with Coach Franco while visiting family in EDH this summer.  He asked me to do different drills to see where I'm at during the first session and identified weaknesses I need to work on. We did exercises that cater to those areas over the next sessions.  He puts a lot of focus on the right technique and endurance building.  I took those suggestions, practiced on my own and found his lessons to be very helpful.  We will seek out Coach Franco again when we return next summer.  - Alex (10) read more

As a small town club in Placerville (Sierra Gold SC), many of our youth head down the hill for greater opportunities, to be coached at a higher level. We started a 2014 comp team, with four 2015 players and looked to find a way to bring some of this great coaching back to our club. Through a mutual friend, we found Franco Accettura as the top recommended trainer for our boys. Coach Franco did not dissapoint. Our team formed for the first time in late May and began training July 1. Our first tournament we lost a combined 30-0 in three games, against a Bronze and two silver teams in early August. Coach Franco started training with us around the same time and helped lead us into our regular season. His communication skills with the boys were beyond my expectations and his ability to both read each boy, and understand how to connect with the individual was fantasic. His vast experience with soccer and knowledge of the game translates so effiecnetly and eloquently to the kids. In addition,he strives to build the love of the game and have fun, while pushing the kids to improve. The fundamentals he expressed in such a short time period translated quickly to the game. We had a total of 7 sessions with Coach Franco, which carried us through most of the regular season and two additional tournaments. Other than a 5-1 loss to a Silver level team, our tea did not los another game by more than 2 goals. Playing in the U11 Bronze, Div 6 East 2, Our SGSC Strikers finished in fourth place with a record of 5-1-3, only 3 points from first. Our boys proudly realized they gave up the least amount of goals of all 10 teams in league, had the least amount of losses, beat the first and second place teams, and were one of only 3 teams in the division to not play last fall and spring. Thank you coach Franco and w are so excited to train with you again this spring! read more

Finding the right mentor for my 17-year-old son was no small task. My son currently plays soccer in Italy, and we needed someone who could help him develop as a player while also understanding the cultural and tactical differences between the Italian and U.S. soccer systems. From our very first conversation with Coach Franco, we knew we had found exactly what we were looking for. Coach Franco immediately put us at ease with his warm and encouraging demeanor. He took his time speaking with us - we never rushed through the conversation - and made sure to fully understand my son's goals, strengths, and areas for growth. Unlike some coaches who offer a one-size-fits-all approach, Coach Franco focuses on mentorship that is truly tailored to the individual player. He helps young athletes not just improve their technical abilities, but also grow in confidence, leadership, and adaptability on and off the field. One of the biggest deciding factors in working with Coach Franco is his Italian playing background and real-world understanding of the differences between European and American soccer. His firsthand experience with coaching philosophies, game speed, and player development in both countries gave us immediate confidence that he could provide authentic and meaningful, actionable guidance for my son's future. Another huge plus? He was incredibly accommodating with scheduling, making sure that our meetings fit around the time difference between Italy and the U.S., my son's training, and his academic commitments. That level of flexibility and genuine investment in a player's success is rare to find. What truly sets Coach Franco apart from other mentors I spoke to is that he understands that being a student-athlete is also a family commitment. He included me in the initial conversation, ensuring that everyone was on the same page about my son's development and mentorship goals. Too often, coaches focus solely on the athlete, but Coach Franco respects my role as the parent in my son's commitment to the game and his education. He values the time, energy, and dedication it takes to support a young player. That kind of awareness and inclusivity is something you don't often see, and it speaks volumes about his character and approach. What stood out most was that while Coach Franco is deeply knowledgeable, he never comes across as boastful or arrogant. Instead, he listened and empowered my son to become his best on and off the field, all in our first conversation with him! If you're looking for a mentor who truly cares, understands both the European and American soccer systems, and provides a player-focused, personalized approach, I recommend Coach Franco without reservation. His expertise, encouragement, and commitment to both the athlete and their support system make him an invaluable mentor. We look forward to working with him! read more

Coach Franco is awesome!! We're new into the sport and we were lucky enough to learn about Coach Franco through the Sacramento Republic FC youth camp. Our experience has been with our team, and on an Individual basis. We've had a couple experiences with different personal coaches, and so far my Son has enjoyed his time with Coach Franco most. It's easy to tell that his experience / knowledge is vast, and his ability to work with the athletes is a positive experience. It's important to me that I'm able to work with a coach that is passionate, positive and communicative during the process, as I would like my child to have a wonderful experience, no matter what level he can play to. After our first session, Coach Franco was able to provide feedback that was very helpful in our journey, and I really appreciated the honestly and direction that he provided. I met Coach Franco after doing a couple of trainings that just didn't feel right for my son. He is a teenager (yay lol), so he's very particular with who he trains with and what he wants/expects from his trainer. Immediately upon meeting the coach , I could tell My son liked him and after the initial training- i could still tell my son thought the training, drills and personality was a perfect fit for him and so did I. He discussed how many sessions he thought would work for what we were looking to improve with what we were geared towards. We were also very impressed with experience, attitude and overall professionalism! If you're looking for an amazing trainer for your kids, or for yourself for that matter, please go ahead and try Coach Franco out- you won't regret it! read more

We met Franco about 3.5 years ago while living in Serrano. He started coaching at a local park, we loved his positivity and enthusiasm for the sport so we signed our son up for his practices. Our son really enjoyed working with Franco so we ultimately signed him up for his comp team. Our son is now 8 and has learned so much! I feel that this kind of training is exactly what our son needed to help him build upon his soccer skills. Thank you Franco for all that you do for the kids!! Keep up the good work! read more
