Resonance PT is a life changer! I was diagnosed with…read morescoliosis as a preteen and grew up generally unbothered by it. Now in my mid-30s, I'd accumulated a few injuries from rock climbing, which resulted in chronic lower back and hip pain. I stopped all strenuous physical activity for fear of injury. My body became stiff and I began waking up with pain on a daily basis. I stopped wanting to get out of bed. I made excuses. My active lifestyle had completely stopped. I tried stretching and powering through the pain only to find myself in a cycle of reinjury and new lows. X-rays showed nothing of major concern, so I was convinced that there was no medical treatment and tried to accept this as my life. It was a dark time. Years later, after coming to terms with how much I missed being active, I decided to pursue physical therapy. My friend, knowing of my history of scoliosis and hypermobility, found Dr. Sandy at Resonance PT online. I reached out, scheduled a consultation call, and she immediately sounded certain that she could help. She even shares the same passion for rock climbing and dogs as me. After my first appointment, I could tell Dr. Sandy knew what she was doing. She did not make me feel bad for living with my pain for so many years. She assured me that working on my scoliosis would not only help with my pain from past injuries, but it would also set me up for strength and less injury risk in the future. After just three or four appointments, I was waking up without pain, walking without pain, and moving without pain. I even took a trip and flew on planes, which I used to dread due to the pain. While working with Dr. Sandy, I was asked to purchase some equipment and practice the recommended exercises at home. The exercises include breathing, strength and balance work. Dr. Sandy walked me through the Schroth method very thoroughly, over multiple appointments, and ultimately, I feel like I've learned the root concepts enough to apply them wherever/whenever I need to address any pain or discomfort. I saw Dr. Sandy twice a week for about 8 weeks and have been working on my at home exercise regimen for about a month. My pain has shifted from chronic to manageable, and I am confident that I have the tools necessary to eventually overcome it. I've been slowly getting back into rock climbing. Most importantly, I have hope again that I can resume the active lifestyle that I almost gave up on having. That is the biggest impact and I cannot thank Dr. Sandy enough for giving me that outlook. I highly recommend Resonance PT and Wellness for anyone, at any age, struggling with pain directly or indirectly related to scoliosis.

She is very creative, engaging, knowledgable and experienced in the art. I have learned new poses that help my body heal and in the process learned to relax. As a working mother this is a true luxury for me and her insight as to what her clients need is very important to her, which translates in classes that are not only nurturing but also empowering as well. She does not disappoint.

I had such a positive experience as a child that I knew this was the only place I wanted to go when I needed PT again. My DPT was Joe. He was incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and patient (I ask a lot of questions). The staff was always so great and my appointments always started on time. Will certainly continue going here whenever needed! Tip: they offer more services than traditional PT, so check out the website for personal training/ group fit classes/ aqua/ etc. Highly recommend.

In the end, I learned that there were no appointments available until the end of September. I told the person I would check elsewhere because I could not wait that long and before I knew it she hung up. I have done PT here several times, and while the therapists are excellent, the people who work the front desk are horrible. I am now considering finding a new place for PT. If one can't get past the people who answer the phone and make appointments without having to encounter rudeness as I have today and in the past, this is not a place I will choose to get physical therapy at again. Whoever the manager is should be doing training with front desk staff to be a whole lot less rude.

The physical therapist assigned to me was very knowlegeable and listened very well to all my aches and pains. Unfortunately, my rheumatologist only specified my knees, so there was where my PT concentrated on. I have been to therapy 3 times already (of an expected 6 treatment span). So far so good! My range of motion has improved, the pain is still nagging me a little, but I know it'll all get better with time! The place is very nice and clean. Inviting. And the staff are all above par. The treatment areas are all well-lit. And the exercise machines and other equipment are amply spaced...a lot of breathing room here. Even on their busy days, there is still a lot of room available for the patients and the staff. If you have the need for physical therapy and you insurance allows, Burger Physical Therapy is a great place to go!

She was very exacting and thorough in her explanations of what she was doing and what I needed to do on my own. I feel my recovery is a direct result if that . In short he was struggling and began acting out in a number of ways. Ways not typical of who he is and was as a person. We identified this through some very apparent, key events that took place in his life. In briefing, our son was headed toward a path of disaster and laced with confusion, frustration, betrayal, trust & love issues and you name it. All while his body is physically morphing into manhood. He was a mess. We were afraid for his future and became a mess with him. His mother would sob at night. We felt bad for him but also knew if we didn't help him find his path it could be disastrous for his future. A lot of people thought he was dark or hopeless but those who knew him closely, knew he was a special human loaded with potential and greatness. It just needed to be harnessed. That's when we connected with Ben Murphy, one of the best things that ever happened for our family. Our son has been seeing Ben regularly for over a year and couldn't be better. I mean a complete turn around. I think it took a few months before actually noticing real difference in attitude and his increased optimism with life in general. (Without ANY medications or drugs) our son genuinely was able to work through some key issues he was having because of Ben's work. I highly recommend Ben Murphy for any family counseling needs, specifically troubled youth or youth issues, he was an answer to prayer. Also just a solid human being in general who is the real deal. We have had our son continue to see him weekly for over a year and he actually looks forward to their weekly meeting. Ben has become a safe place and from our sons words, keeps him accountable and encourages him to do great things with his life. If you are having any issues with your child or in a season where you just need help. Someone to help you get through whatever it is, someone who is safe and genuinely cares, but also no BS, don't even hesitate to schedule with Ben Murphy. Hands down the best counselor I've ever met and he provided incredible results for our family beyond what we believed even possible. Our son did the work, but Ben laid down the framework and template for him and most importantly by authentically caring and loving on him he created a bond of trust so that they could take the journey together. Even though we feel like our son is on the right path and doing great we are continuing our commitment to having him meet regularly with Ben as we believe it has changed his life. We are beyond forever grateful and would encourage anyone looking for a safe, professional that genuinely cares about people to connect with Ben without hesitation. He's the real deal.
