I guess their claim to fame is they have a bar and serve drinks. I ordered broiled flounder with roasted potatoes and a side salad. The flounder was okay, but just barely cooked. Seasoning was missing. Bland and almost watery. The previously roasted potatoes must have come straight out of the chiller as they were *cold* throughout and not edible. The joke of a salad was some worn out lettuce with white bread that had been cut and quick toast in oven. Not at all appetizing. Won't be back and a waste of my meager savings. read more

Very very scenic restaurant. You have the option to sit indoors or outside. I chose to sit outside to enjoy the view. I ordered the seafood quesadillas and the crab egg-rolls appetizers. I wasn't a huge fan of the quesadillas, the outside was not to my liking but the inside was packed with cheese and seafood. (I'm use to buttery tortilla) but all in all it was still good. My family had the fried fish, crab cakes, crab egg roll and wings. They rated it a 8/10. Our waitress was very helpful & friendly. Came early in the season when pretty much everything was closed by the time it was 7 PM on a cold spring Friday evening. The staff at Janes Island recommended this place, which is a convenient 10 minute drive. I started with a cup of the New England clam chowder. A bit watery, but enjoyed it. Crab dip was decent. Shared a lb of the steamed shrimp with friends and they were the surprise - big, juicy and flavorful. Our server was friendly and very nice. A New Yorker in the MD area attending an RC event, we needed desperately a place to eat. I wasn't aware that crabs were a "thing" out in this area. When googling places to eat we discovered this joint. The place is beautiful and it reminded me of restaurants in Central America. We were seated by the water. I ordered the shell-less crab sandwich and my fiancé ordered the fish and chips. The food was good and the service was ok. The young boy serving us appeared a little inexperienced but he was very Young and I know you gotta start somewhere, I just wish he was friendlier. Cute atmosphere but extremely rude bartender on the outside bar. I understand she was overwhelmed for the duck festival but seriously. I picked up a menu off of the bar looking for a drink menu and got barked "we aren't serving food". I was extremely polite, and said nicely I was just looking for a drink menu. She continued to be rude when my friend ordered a drink, and we decided to leave. I wouldn't come back to try the food, if this is any indication of the service. Don't work in a tourist destination if you can't handle a not even busy bar on a Saturday. read more

Fisherman's grill has a new location and the reason I say this as we were on Mai. Street there was a building g boarded up that read fisherman's. The new location is off the water and has a very nice bar outside that is not yet open and a small one inside. I would come again for the view and outside bar but not to eat. I will say the waiter stated they had only been open for 3 weeks and it showed as the bar wasn't fully stocked and some of the food was not fresh. Let's get into it. For my daughter I ordered the chicken strip kids meal which they do not have a menu for but the waiter was able to share those. The chicken strips were hand breaded and well seasoned. I ordered the single fried oyster sandwich w d later saw a board with specials so I also added on an order of fresh rockfish nuggets. I really wish the waiter had told me about the specials prior to me ordering the sandwich as the oysters were not single fried you could tell they were frozen and fritter/patty like as you were served 3 big square in size oysters on your brioche bun. Not what I was anticipating for single fried so I returned. I enjoyed my rockfish nuggets although they could have been seasoned more. For an appetizer we ordered the crab dip which the best part was the buttered garlic bread as the dip had not one strand of back fin or any other meat it was nothing but cream cheese and regular sharp on top. Mother's Day buffet was awesome! Fried shrimp...not frozen...big ones! Prime rib was amazing, crab balls excellent. The bbq chicken and ribs were beyond delish! Food "could" have been a little hotter but that's an issue with most buffets. sides were green beans, roasted corn, co,e slay, swwetpotato casserole and homemade wet cornbread. Very nice dessert selection featuring Smith Island cakes. Well worth the $45.00 price tag. I had hope for them it would be more crowded, but we went at 2 PM so maybe busier later in the afternoon. Such a quaint place right on the water. A great atmosphere and definitely kid friendly. The Chicken Chesapeake was really delicious and the Caesar Salad was a great combo. Our kiddos really loved the Mac N' Cheese. A great place with a warm and inviting dining experience. I would highly recommend, and we will be back. read more

Was here for the annual Crab Derby and met family here for a seafood feast. Some ordered seafood and some ordered sandwiches and tacos. Overall the experience was good. Unfortunately we sat for 20 minutes without anyone coming to great us and take our drink order. My crab leg steamer was decent. Unfortunately we also ordered the blue crab steamer which turned out to be frozen and under sized. How in the world does a restaurant at the crabbing capital of the world serve frozen farm raised crab? And charge $49 for it? As we were eating, the restaurant turned off the lights to watch the fireplace display! I was shocked. Disappointed in the long wait while seated and the sad crab service. Never before served steamed clams cold, dried out, gritty, with no butter. No melted butter available, we asked. Appetizer was a harbinger of good food not to come. Fish and chips was nothing fresh, seemed frozen. Stuffed shrimp was not butterflied nor stuffed. It was boiled shrimp with a crab ball next to it. Cole slaw was very ordinary. Scallops were the best flavor despite the hair hiding under one of them. Hush puppies were decent. Wait staff was nice but clearly never trained in the least. Three Sundays ago. my husband and I didn't feel like cooking at home so we decided to go to a local restaurant for dinner. We decided to try Fishermans Grill. As we entered the side by the water, one couple was just leaving and two other couples were eating, all of whom were Caucasian. No one greeted us so we just went in and took a seat. Two young men, who looked like waiters, were talking to one another near the bar. A waitress was standing against the railing near the water side feeding seagulls. We were totally ignored. Finally we decided to leave and find another restaurant. We were never even acknowledged as we were walking out. We are African-American and have lived in this area our entire lives. We have seen and experienced this type of treatment before. I really hate to play the "race" card but that's what it seemed like to me. We do not plan to ever go there again. read more

We were in Ocean City for Bikeweek and normally do a road trip at least 2 days. First and most important the beer was ice cold. Appetizer of onion strings and crabby pretzel were fantastic. Soft crab sandwich is gigantic and was delicious. Soft crab taco and the crabby bird sandwich were excellent. Menu is very diverse. Which means we'll be back until we try everything on it. The food is all fresh, homemade, and outstanding! We started with the oyster stew that was beyond tasty. I had the shrimp and grits, generous helping of large fresh shrimp, perfectly seasoned grits and bacon. My wife had the fried flounder sandwich that featured a huge piece of flounder and homemade French fries. We took home the crab egg roll special that was also to die for. I've been to this restaurant several times and the food is quite good. You have the choice of sitting inside or outside on their spacious deck next to the water. The last time I was there, it was a little chilly, so we decided to sit inside. I will never understand parents who let their children run around making noise with no regard whatsoever for other people trying to enjoy an evening out. Their kids were even doing cartwheels, unbelievable! Another family sat quietly with their two children who have been taught how to behave in a restaurant. So, if we go again I will be sure to survey the surroundings before sitting down, but think it would be nice if management would take notice and address the situation. read more

We were searching, unsuccessfully, for a water view restaurant in Crisfield. We stumbled upon the large Octopus mural & stopped to take a picture. Once we exited the car we smelled the amazing BBQ smoke wafting through the parking lot. So we decided to give the Fisherman's Grill a try even though it had no Yelp reviews. They had just opened on Mother's Day. We were immediately delighted to be seated at a picnic table in a covered deck area with a great water view. We were hungry so we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes. They arrived pippin hot with a cream cheese & Pepper Jelly topping. The batter coating was light & crunchy. My husband & I agreed that they were the Best FGT by far of any that we had ordered on our vacation. He ordered the CrabCake sandwich which did not disappoint. It was loaded with backfin crab meat & just enough filler to keep the cake intact. They advertise the Clam Strips as "we promise that you haven't had clam strip like this before". Well that was a challenge I just had to accept! Fast forward...after my first strip I actually stood up at our table & announced to my fellow dinners that IF they hadn't ordered yet OR were Clam Strip fans...like myself...they needed to order the Clam Strips because these strips have ruined me for all others! The lady at the next table said she was & asked if I'd back up my words by sharing a strip with her. I did & she quickly made the same proclamation to our fellow dinners. The Clam strips are thick, juicy & tender with a great crunchy coating. The avocado ranch dressing for dipping was exceptional & I actually asked for a second container. My husband who doesn't like clams actually ate 3 because they were so delicious! As you can see the shrimp were large, perfectly steamed & locally sourced. A Win Win in my book. We continued on our trip home with full bellies & a happy heart after discovering this wonderful Seafood restaurant. Went to this restaurant on a cold rainy afternoon, and couldn't have been more pleased. Started with excellent orange crush drinks, followed by crab dip and crusty French bread. Everything, and I mean everything, was homemade including the fresh pasta, hand breaded shrimp and clams and the crab cakes. Our group of four all had seafood, including fish and clam tacos, stuffed shrimp, fried shrimp, crab cake sandwich and scallops. Sides are also homemade and we were pleased with the variety of choices. Hand cut fries were particularly good. This is our favorite spot to go in crisfield as everything else is kinda run down or has terrible service, my mother was pissed it was so bad the last time we went here, but this year this place apparently had new management so they really stepped it up. Since I loved the crab dip appetizer, I went with the chicken Chesapeake, chicken covered with that same crab dip, cheese, and bacon. I loved it, and my stomach agreed. I took most of it home as I was full honestly. The next day I went to eat the leftovers, and I cut into it and noticed the chicken looked funny. I scraped all the crab dip away, and most of the chicken was literally pink... I don't know how I didn't get sick, probably because there was such a small amount of chicken for a 24$ meal, and the crab dip masked it, but damn was that shit undercooked. Like they must have cooked it for 2 minuets, and expected the hot crab dip to heat it to edible temp or something. will be back but never trusting them to cook a meat entry again. We loved this place. It is a casual dock bar. It was clean and the service was good. It was Sarah's first day and she was a delight. I was served the best MD crab soup I have had outside of my own kitchen. My scallops, new potatoes, and local corn were perfect and I had a bite of my husbands amazing fresh flounder sandwich. Me and my husband have been to the Fisherman's Grille three times now and have not once been disappointed. The food is amazing and so delicious. We got the crab steam pots two times and it was well worth the money. One time I got the barbecue sampler and my husband got the scallops. They were both great. We were in the on 7-24-21 and the place was packed with people waiting and the service was great. Staff and service was great all the way around. If you are ever in Crisfield, Md and want a great place to eat, I highly recommend the Fisherman's Grille. You will not be disappointed. read more
