I made a great choice in Fisher Electric. I came home from a trip to find much of the house without power. It was not a PG&E issue. I called Fisher and --actually-- got not a recorded menu but a real person who immediately put me on the booking list for that very day. John (Jonathan) was here in a few hours, went to the breaker box, sized up the situation quickly and definitively, and explained what needed to be done. He and Aaron were here early both days of work and installed a new breaker box and outside electrical panel very efficiently and neatly. John also advised me of options for the future if needed. They double-checked and tested everything, attended to every detail. The charges were very much reasonable for such extensive work. I will not recommend Fisher Electric. They came on a Saturday to look at my job and told me they couldn't do what I needed but offered a way high option, that I couldn't even contemplate. $9K to replace a 100Amps panel. They charged me $350 to come and tell me that! They gave me a $25 senior discount when I asked, and said that was the best they could do. They didn't touch any part, remove or do anything else. We had an emergency situation at the house this weekend. A vendor had driven a screw through our main power line. I called Fisher at 4:45p on a Friday and they were quick to respond. Rafael from their team arrived the next morning at 7:00a sharp on Saturday. He quickly assessed the problem and provided a fair quote. Rafael did not stop moving during the course of the work! He was extremely efficient. Once the work was completed he walked us through the fix and followed up on some prior recommendations. He's a fast, friendly, and incredibly knowledgable electrician. This review is not for the work they did, as they didn't even show up. Called to see if they could come and look at some broken light fixtures at my store. We scheduled a date and time, however nobody showed up. I even sent pictures of the broken light fixtures per their request. Pretty unprofessional. You could have at least called and told us you weren't going to come. Very disappointed. Why would I set up an appointment without knowing how much it might cost? The message did not say anything about setting up an appointment just for a free estimate. Finally, I called their number and talked to Mike about an estimate for a days worth of work to replace some outlets, switches and 2 vanity lights. He told me that the job would cost from $1000 to $2000. I asked what the hourly rate was and he said $250 an hour. During a large storm a couple weeks ago, a tree fell and ripped out the electrical line from our house. It took almost 4 days for PG&E to come out only to find that since the pole attached to the line is not owned by PG&E, they could not help. We called Fisher Electric and they came out within one hour and were able to reattach the line. After being without power for so long, we were very thankful that Fisher Electric was so diligent!!
