Tucked inside the food court at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw, next to Sbarro. We tried the basics - fried catfish, fried shrimp and Snapper with sides. The fish and shrimp were prepared well and tasted fresh. Collards had good texture, but I found them a little salty compared to the red beans and rice that were slightly under seasoned. When we return, we'll try Po' Boys. I've never tried any other location of this chain, but this experience would make me willing to try others.

40 bucks for 3 pieces of fish and 1 side is crazy work. And the fish was cold and salty. Sorry.

I didn't like the seasoning. I would suggest someone open a REAL fish fry, like the old "You buy it, we fry it" spots.

From other reviews, the restaurant has parking in the back. * Meal: if you like seafood and KBBQ, look no further! 5 stars. * Service: friendly and pleasant. 4 stars. This restaurant came up on my IG feeds... looks awesome... we were not disappointed! The restaurant does not take reservations online. We came on a weeknight, found a street parking right infront and got seated right away (scored!) They have 4 tower sets: crew set ($109) serving 1-2 persons, chief set ($159.99) serving 3-4, master ($219.99) serving 4-5, captain ($299) serving 5-6. They also have a la carte, hot pot, etc. We had crew set which includes 1.4 lbs Manila clams, 2 whole shell oyster, large clams, shrimps, mussles, scallops, octopus, potatoes, served with korean ceviche, steam egg, pancake, spicy rice cakes, korean noodle soups. There are 3 different dipping sauces which are delicious. It is a lot of food. You definitely get your money worth here. The staff is friendly and attentive. They cooked the seafood at the table. The air ventilator is pretty good but I probably won't wear my must dry-clean clothes to dine here. Overall, Burnin' Shell did live up to its hype!

We waited around 20-25 minutes total and the line moved pretty efficiently, plus it gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted. After ordering, they give you a number and start bringing dishes to your table within about 10-15 minutes, which felt impressively fast considering how packed the place was. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and high quality. We ordered the smoked kanpachi taco, taco de pulpo en su tinta, shrimp aguachile, ceviche mixto, sea urchin, kanpachi & uni tostada, and lenguado tostada. My absolute favorite was the sea urchin, it comes in its shell, cut in half so it feels like two small portions, and the combination of fish, uni, and the light sauce was amazing. The kanpachi & uni tostada was another standout (clearly a must if you love uni). Overall, such a great experience. Amazing fresh seafood, efficient service, and every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly. Definitely worth the visit.

They specialize in gejang (marinated raw crab). We went with the Premium set which is around $199. It comes with 4 whole Korean female crabs loaded with roe. They cut everything up so it's easy to share, and it also includes 4 marinated raw shrimp and 4 marinated hard boiled eggs. You also get complimentary crab miso soup and banchan. We added a premium sea urchin as well which was about $75. It's basically two whole uni split into four portions with ikura, tobiko, and rice. The uni was super fresh and tasted really clean. The crab here is really good. Honestly might be my favorite gejang spot in KTown right now. The shrimp was also really solid. I actually really liked the crab miso soup too. They say it's unlimited, but when I asked for another round it never came. Overall this place was bussin. It's definitely one of the more expensive spots in KTown for gejang, but the quality is there. They were also on the Michelin Guide in 2019, which makes sense after trying it. I'd definitely come back again.
