Fried 6 Oysters LunchOysters
Lady T D.

Had lunch at your Crenshaw Baldwin location. Order fried oysters the lunch special. When I open them up it was nasty looking and smelly. Ask the people at the workers a the counter they both said I don't eat oysters and that they couldn't take back my food or offer something else. Bad business.

Halal chicken wings box option

Pretty good fried fish spot in Hawthorne. I got the fried snapper and fried shrimp and both were cooked to perfection. Excellent customer service by Chandora! Also, sign says they offer halal fried chicken.

Fish (red snapper) and shrimp combo, red beans and rice, with potato salad. Not the best food.

Came here on a Wednesday evening on Juneteenth, I got the fish and shrimp combo with 2 sides. The red snapper was dry and tough to eat, the red beans and rice were okay, but not the best; it tasted like the red beans were not fresh (it had like a reheating flavor to them), and the potato salad was not my favorite; they tasted like store bought. My partner got the catfish, red beans and rice, with onion rings. Some parts on the catfish were too salty and others lacking flavor. Overall not that happy, we won't be coming here again; sadly.

Catfish filled dinner. Blah. Trash.
Miguel D.

So ordered the catfish dinner w/2sides. First off lady at the counter very nice left them $20tip. Once I saw my food I regretted leaving it seeing the size of my catfish filet. This isn't a filled. Definitely got robbed. Not going back for $20 meal that should be a $10 meal.

Collard Greens

Oh my goodness, y'all absolutely nailed it! The greens were insanely good, the seasoned veggie rice was a treat, and the salmon, well, I'd give it a solid 4--it was slightly overcooked. But collectively, it was a 5-star experience. Coming from a background of top-notch cooking skills and growing up on delicious meals, it's a real struggle to find excellent food in my hometown of Los Angeles. Normally, soul food spots here miss the mark on their greens, but this owner really knows their stuff. I highly recommend trying the salmon, greens, and rice. I've never had fried salmon before, but I might give it a shot after this fantastic meal. The establishment is spotless, and their customer service representatives are cool And if you're ordering fried fish, don't forget to ask for extra seasoning--it takes it to the next level!

Juicy shrimp and to die for hush puppies
Nutorie J.

I just left this location less than 1 hour ago and let me tell you, THEY DO NOT DISAPPOINT. Not only was the food fresh hot seasoned and BOMB but the service is amazing. My kids loved the fish and fries. Shrimp to die for and the hush puppies lovely A total must try !!!! &&& thanks to the person(who I think is the owner or manager) who gave my kids a dollar god bless you and your establishment!!!!!!

Great Mexican seafood at this Michelin rated restaurant in Inglewood!…read more My friend and I shared the following dishes: Ceviche Marinero: Fresh and tangy with a generous amount of plump shrimp. We asked for another basket of chips (free) to scoop the ceviche with. Crunchy and delicious. Filete de Pescado a la Plancha: The seabass was tasty and delicious! Nicely cooked and melted in my mouth. The side veggies and rice were also nice compliments. Each dish was around $23 - $25. Considering the portion sizes and proteins, these were a great value for what we got! You also get a complimentary basket of chips at the beginning with an actually spicy green salsa. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are nice. I liked seeing the display of news articles about this restaurant displayed. The service here was great as well. Our server mainly spoke Spanish, but that wasn't a problem since I spoke a little bit and he was very attentive. Overall, a great experience here. A good spot for anyone wanting Mexican seafood near LAX/Inglewood.

From the outside, this little spot looks more like a tax office than a restaurant, and even with the sign visible from the street, it seems easy to miss. Once inside, there are tons of awards and recognitions on the walls. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was cute and had a family-backyard feel. We were attended quickly and service was very friendly. For food, I ordered the ceviche marinero, my son the tacos gobernador, and my husband the ceviche de pescado. My ceviche was decent but nothing that stood out. It was a bit too acidic for my taste, but so was my michelada. My son devoured his tacos quickly, though I noticed there wasn't much shrimp in each one. My husband's fish ceviche was also decent, but I'm not a fan of fish ceviche in general because of that slight "dirt-like" taste (but, that's just me). Overall, I wasn't super impressed, but it is a solid spot for sure. If you're in the area and love seafood, it's definitely worth trying. Maybe your experience will be much better than mine.

It's been a minute since I've have had a seafood boil and man was this place was worth the wait!!…read more I came with a friend on a Wednesday night and thankfully it wasn't too busy. As for food we got the Combo 2 and our choices were shrimp, clams and snow crab. We went with the Torpedo sauce for our boil cause it was a mixture of all their other sauces (garlic butter, classic cajun and lemon pepper) and we got it at a medium spice level. And oh boy oh boy did it set our mouths on fire but in the best way possible!! The sauce was everything we wanted it to be, spicy, savory, garlicky, tangy and just pure indulgence. To calm the heat though we also got cajun fries, rice, Thai tea and Jasmine milk tea. Sharing a meal with a friend is always nice but sharing a meal with a friend here is great. I believe food is the ultimate uniter and I'm happy we chose to go here!! My one and only con is just the location because it was a bit sketchy especially at night but the food and service was so good I think it's still worth it to go.

The menu lists market price for their seafood, but nowhere to physically see the prices so you must ask the waiter. I ordered a pound of head on shrimp in spicy torpedo sauce (their house combination sauce) and some mild cajun fries for sharing. The shrimp was well cooked and a nice aroma of garlic lingered from the chunks of garlic visible in the sauce. The sauce had decently chunky bits which adhered to the shrimp well enough and was delicious with a nice kick of heat. The shrimp were less than fresh but perfectly palatable. The Cajun fries were lightly seasoned, with a crisp (but not too crunchy) coating, similar to the exterior of an onion ring. They were great for snacking and whetted my appetite well. All in the food was good, but I just wish the shrimp was fresher to lend some subtle sweetness and fresh feeling to the dish.

It's one of those "low-key hidden but worth finding" spots. Don't let the location fool you! I went on a Tuesday during the week when it wasn't busy at all -- nice and chill vibes. But babyyy once 6 PM hit? Dinner time activated. The crowd definitely started rolling in and you could feel the energy shift. So just know traffic picks up later in the evening if you're planning a visit. Now let's get into what matters: The staff? Super attentive and kind. I love when servers check on you just enough without hovering. And the food came out HOT. Not warm. Not "it's been sitting." I'm talking steaming, fresh, straight-to-the-table heat -- which is exactly how a crab boil should hit. Portions were generous because I was overly stuffed and still had plenty left over for the next day (which honestly might be the best part). Nothing like reheating a seafood boil and running it back. Thank you for hosting me and my guest -- we had such a good experience. I'll definitely be back for my next crab boil fix lol

We waited for 30 minutes to be seated even though plenty of tables were open, waited another 30 minutes to place an order, waited another 40 minutes until the food came out. At least the decor was "cute" pretty standard for a seafood boil and had TVs. We got 3 pounds of shrimp with the flavor mix and the spiciest level of heat in addition to some Cajun fries. The seafood was so bland and the fries were so dry with little to no seasoning.

My partner actually suggested we go one day, so we decided to finally give it a try. When we walked in it wasn't crowded at all, just a couple sitting inside, and we noticed some people out on the patio. I asked if we could sit outside, but the employee said it was dirty and would need to be cleaned, so we stayed inside. There were two young guys working/Serving. As more people started coming in, it seemed like they got a little backed up and rushed. One of them dropped off complimentary chips and a green salsa, but he never came back with our waters or to actually take our order. He kept walking past our table several times until we finally asked him if we could order. He recommended the marlin tacos, saying they were more flavorful than the regular fish tacos, so we ordered those along with aguachiles (one of my favorite dishes) and a shrimp dish cooked in a red sauce. The complimentary chips were freshly fried and good. The green salsa, however, was extremely spicy. I normally enjoy spicy food, but this one was a little too intense for me to really enjoy. I ordered a pico de gallo, which tasted fresh but needed a little salt. The food took a while to come out. The marlin tacos arrived first and honestly they were the highlight of the meal. The flavor was really good and I enjoyed those the most. Then the aguachiles came out, and that's where things kind of turned for me. The shrimp still had the full heads on them, which personally grosses me out. The second shrimp dish in the red sauce also came with the heads on and served on a hot plate with rice. I removed the heads and tried a few bites, the sauce was okay, but not for me to continue eating. Between the wait time and service I was over it. At that point I mostly just finished the tacos. One thing I did enjoy was the cucumber-lemon agua fresca, which was refreshing and really good. Service unfortunately never improved. No one came back to check on us during the meal. When we were ready for the bill we had to flag someone down, and even then we waited quite a while. Eventually I noticed another customer waiting too, so we both just walked up to the cashier and paid at the counter. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and wait time made the experience worse. If the service had been better, I might have been open to coming back to try the ceviche or shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, based on this visit, it's not a place I would return to.

During my visit, I ordered the Connecticut Style Double Stuffed Roll with a mixture of fries and tater tots. The lobster meat was fresh and nicely flavored with Old Bay seasoning while the split roll was buttery and perfectly crunchy. I seriously can't imagine a lobster roll tasting any better. Not to be out done, the service here was outstanding. The two gentleman who were working at the counter were extremely friendly and helpful.
