    DICK'S Warehouse Sale

It had been a long time since I've been in the Lynnhaven Mall area. So I was surprised to see the…read morelarge Dick's sign at the old location of Toys R Us. My quest was curbside pickup for my sister's new kayak. I turned off Lynnhaven Parkway onto N Mall Drive and parked near the entrance to the store. Nowhere did I see a curbside pickup sign. So inside I went. Always in a hurry, I never noticed that the sign read Dick's Warehouse Sale. Upon entering I found a humongous store with clothing racks as far as the eye could see. One could spend a day looking through the racks of if their body was capable of it. In addition to the clothing there are shoes, accessories & and variety of items. But I saw no Kayaks. Hmmm.... Across the front of the store was a row of cashiers with a rope steering customers to one line then the next open checkout counter. Nowhere did I see a Customer Service counter. So I stood in line. When my turn came I asked the person if they had moved the store from the Mall. That's when I learned that this store was basically a huge outlet store. Overstock & out of season goods were being sold at a discounted price. The store that had my sister's Kayak waiting was still the same store in the Mall just a few minutes away. This store definitely is a plus for the area. Its size and scope will require a lot of exploration time. My next trip back will be when my sister arrives. She's excited about exploring their plethora of sports clothing & accessories. I am too.

I love coming here to find gifts for others and items for myself. They have discounted prices and…read moreoccasionally run "additional percentage off" sales. If you are looking for the best deals you will have to hunt and search for them. My tips are to buy items that are off season (i.e. bathing suits in the winter and coats in the summer). They also have signs posted around the store advertising a scanner that you can pull up on your phone's website browser to price check items. I've use it multiple times and it is very helpful! The items don't always scan but in that case you can check with an employee for price questions. There are only a few fitting rooms to try on clothes and they can get very cluttered. The times that I have visited I haven't noticed much staff on the sales floor. They are either at the front checkout or in the back receiving/organizing inventory. The types of items they sell include shoes like running shoes, casual sneakers and sandals, and sports cleats. Clothing wise they have activewear, coats/jackets like heavy winter wear, swimwear, kids clothing, golf attire. Keep in mind that these are leftover excess items from the main store that haven't sold or are being phased out but you can still find great quality items. They also sell accessories like outdoor items, drinkwear, socks, hats, gloves, workout pieces, etc. The parking lot is big and easy to maneuver in and out from located on Lynnhaven parkway. Shopping carts are available and they do have public restrooms. Overall this is definitely a place I would recommend to checkout and see if you can find any good deals.

Really nice range and staff. I didn't look around the store too much but it seems well organized…read moreand well stocked. There wasn't a wait time or anything to get a lane (3:00pm on a Monday) but not being a member did mean waiting like 10-15 min to be see while I waited for members to get checked into the range first which was expected so no big deal. The staff were great too. My dumbass went to not only the wrong lane, but also the wrong range and they were chill about it. They just had me and the guy who had reserved the lane I went to swap lanes. It costs a more than most ranges near me (for a non member), but the range is really nice, so worth the cost difference in my opinion

I cannot recommend this place enough!…read more I came in with a history of gun violence & this visit was to overcome my fear of guns. The check in process was very easy to navigate and the team members were very helpful. Jake helped me get set up at the desk & he assured me that the safety person in the range would be helpful too. It's clear that safety is a top priority here. They require you to wear hearing & eye protection before you enter the range room! I entered the range room & was initially shaken & tearful so I stepped out, wiped my tears & then entered again. John helped me slowly ease up to the bay & walked me through all the safety basics of the gun. He helped me grip it correctly and get a feel of it before the mag was even loaded. He imitated what the kick would feel like. Once I was comfortable with just holding it, he showed me how to load the bullets. I was shaken & nervous between each step but he was calm, reassuring, & patient with me. I eventually loaded the mag & did one shot. From there, my confidence built. Overall, I would recommend this gun range to any & everyone. As a woman who came here alone to face my fears, I feel accomplished & empowered. Huge shoutout to John for his patience, kindness & cute smile. To anyone out there debating:DO IT, even if you do it scared & with tears in your eyes!
