My go to for anything gun stuff to FFL Transfers! My favorite small local gun store to go to compared to the big names and big giant gun stores in the area. Staff are very quickly to answer any questions. My 1st on my list to come here any day of the week! read more

Best service and knowledgeable workers and will be my go to place to buy a gun/rifle. I had Chris as my helper and took his time showing all the different guns available for my ccw. read more

This is my go to gun shop for buying instore and ffl transfers. The staff is very helpful, ask a question and they won't one word you, they'll actually elaborate on their answers and explain to you. Shop prices may be a little higher that what can find on line but they carry the guns that you're looking for plus you're supporting your local Business.... I highly recommend this store, I've had nothing but good experience is there read more

Great customer service very knowledgeable staff and helpful making suggestions for anything you might need. They have an awesome selection of firearms and can help you find anything they don't have already on the shelf. Awful experience. I had an order coming in from GunBroker at the beginning of June, I heard online that DOA had cheap transfers so I selected them. I called them beforehand letting them know and specifically asked if they needed any more information from me, to which they replied no. The rifle got there about a week later and I went in to pick it up the same day after work. The employee I was speaking with was extremely condescending and before I even had the chance to fill out a 4473, I was told I was too young to have the rifle transferred to me, despite being legally permitted to. The employee cited a store policy prohibiting them from transferring any type of weapon to adults under 21, which was never disclosed to me even after specifically asking if they needed any info from me before shipping the gun. After over a month of back-and-forth over what to do with the rifle (since the seller didn't accept returns) I ended up paying to have DOA transfer the gun to Freedom Outdoors where I was able to have the gun transferred to me with no issues at all. Overall, I had a terrible experience with DOA, not only because of their unconstitutional store policies, but also because of the attitude I was given by the staff. The dog was cute though. read more

Great place to exercise your Constitutional Rights!! Exceptional selection of firearms and accessories!!! Helpful and friendly staff! read more

Awesome shop and a must if I'm in the area again. Stopped in while down this way from NOVA and couldn't have found a cooler place with kick arse staff and had a awesome selection of guns at great prices and ammo prices were at or below the going rate. All the guys at the shop were helpful and didn't mind pulling out what ever you wanted and even while there helped a new purchaser find the best option for there budget and feel. Check this place out read more

Great inventory, Awesome over the counter knowledge, couldn't recommend more. Everyone who works at DOA Arms takes pride in what they do, they're passion for what they do is visible. All prices are fair and not marked up truly one of the most positive/ non prejudice gun related establishments I've ever been to. read more

This place is Fu*%*ng Aces in my book very very best gun shop in Virginia Beach! Proud to say I purchase from them!

This is my go-to shop; I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out! I do all my ffl transfers here because the staff, environment, and price are all top-notch. You can tell everyone working here enjoys and knows what they're talking about, and they aren't just trying to make a sale, unlike other shops around. I have never had a bad experience here, and I recommend them to everyone looking for a new gun or part read more

Had a compensator pin and welded to a 14.5" barrel and barrel installed onto upper. One of the better pin and weld jobs I've seen. Staff was willing to assist promptly when not working with other customers. Will recommend to others. read more

DOA Arms - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Bought some parts from this shop. The salesmen are hilarious and helpful, would recommend this place to anyone looking for help on a build or just looking for info! read more

Went in to have some NFA items engraved. The gentleman looked at the approved ATF Form and proceeded to tell me that it was incorrect and basically that I was an idiot for following the directions from the company that produces the item. It's a great looking shop and has a lot of stuff but I will gladly bring my business elsewhere. The gentleman behind the counter was 100% incorrect and this was verified by the ATF. If he wrong about this, what else has he been wrong about? Not someone I want to deal with when it comes to firearms. read more

This is the most customer service friendly gun store I've been to in the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake area. Period. The item I wanted to purchase was out of stock so I ordered one from a different out of state store and used them as the receiving FFL. I used them for two reasons, they are extremely customer service friendly. When you're in the store they make you feel comfortable and don't talk down to you like your inferior because you have less knowledge. Two, they are by far the cheapest FFL price in the area. $20 for unlimited items as long as it's in the same transaction!!! Superior Pawn charges $50 and McX charges $45 for example. From the time I went in to browse to the time I went in to pickup my item, they were very friendly and professional. The owner or manager did a great job ensuring the staff puts the customer first and makes us feel comfortable. Well done and will continue to purchase my toy needs from this store. *They also have a Mil/LEO discount. read more

Walked in looked at guns for 10 mins, not one person greeted me or asked if I needed help. Had 2k in my pocket too spend...but noticed the lack of customer service so I just waited a minute too see if they would help me or not, never did so I figured I'd spend my money else where. read more

This is a FRAUD GUN STORE!!!!!! I purchased Spike Tactic Lower .308 through GUNBROKER.COM in Dec. 2016. My FFL returned the lower to them, and signed by Chris. So they need to refund my money, I kept calling them for five months and I still have no refund. 5 MONTHS, BTW, the lower worth $699. read more

They don't know what they're doing, and they all lie repetitively. Money down the drain.

A one stop shop for all of your freedom loving needs. I only trust one shop to work on my hardware and it's this place. These guys are a hard working group of individuals who genuinely care about giving their customers a great and welcoming experience. They offer the latest and greatest and are super knowledgeable on all things second amendment. Hands down the best shop for all your freedom loving needs in the Hampton roads area. Highly recommended. read more

I called them to find out if they had any uppers available. Not only did they have many different lengths, but they're reasonably priced as well and the quality really seems to be there. The guys in the shop were nothing but helpful. Really relaxed environment and nobody talks down to you. Support local and buy stuff manufactured in your area. read more

DOA Arms - Although not their lower, their upper is holding up nicely! - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

The BEST store for all your firearms needs. All of the guys are professional and courteous. Very knowledgeable, and they do not pressure you into any sales. Would recommend you go here first if you are in the Southside of Virginia. Their in house built rifles (Triton MFG) are some of the most aesthetically pleasing as well as capable rifles. They offer cerakote as well as other gun customization options in house. No need to go anywhere else. If they don't have it in stock, they will get it in stock for you. read more

Good selection of Arms. That is where it ends. I have dealt with 3 separate staff members. It is like, they are all cut out of the same mold. Have no idea how they stay in business. Each member was rude, snotty and down right unprofessional. One member in particular, Chris, was the worst. A real punk! And, when I called on the phone to disgust a particular item that they stock and sell, an Iver 12ga, he did not have a clue as to what I was talking about. Until I came back to the store to educate him on it. I recommend just staying clear of this store. There are plenty of places to buy arms, at better cost, real knowledgable courteous service and they actually want your business. This place made me feel like it was a front for some extracurricular activities. Do not believe me? Go ahead, find out for yourself. Amen. Good Luck! read more

Horrible service, was treated very strangely because I look young for my age. Wouldn't recommend to beginners trying to figure out what to buy. read more

This is Truly a hidden gem. You wouldn't believe the vast assortment of firearms, parts and NFA items they have in stock. Very knowledgable staff in all aspects of firearms. They also manufacture suppressors and do custom engraving for NFA items. This place has it all... I was impressed and they earned my trust and my business. I will come back for all my firearms needs. read more

I found this store on my way home from work one day and decided to take a look on line and see what they were all about. I'm glad I did. This is a small store, but has a large selection of AR-15 lower and upper receivers, pistols, complete rifles and parts. A lot of their inventory is not on display but don't let that deter you. All you need to do is ask. If you take a look at their online store first you can make sure they have what you are looking for in stock. The owner of the store is really helpful and great to talk to. I highly recommend this store if your looking for good prices and quality products with good service. read more

DOA people were friendly but they had nothing in their store unless you want someone to build your custom AR 15 waste of time
